  • BUTCHER BABIES Release Music Video For New Single “Lost In Your Touch”

Butcher Babies return with their powerful new single “Lost In Your Touch”, produced by Howard Benson. Blending emotional vulnerability with crushing intensity, the track — which marks the second release from Butcher Babies‘ forthcoming album via Judge & Jury Records — serves as a key chapter in an LP that functions as a deeply personal love letter to vocalist Heidi Shepherd‘s past reflecting on the experiences, relationships, heartbreaks, and hard-earned lessons that have shaped her over the last 25 years. It’s a record rooted in self-reflection and growth, honoring where she’s been while embracing the strength and clarity of who she has become today.

Heidi shares: “10 years ago, I watched the love of my life fall in love with someone else. I watched him fill my shoes with another girl’s touch. She slowly took my place in the late-night phone calls and early morning coffee. He replaced ‘us’ with her name on his lips. I bent between this new reality and the past that my body and heart so desperately wanted back.

“As I watched this unfold, I couldn’t help but wonder if they shared the same, deep emotional bond we once shared, and if ‘she gets lost in his touch like I do,’” she adds. “This song brings me back to those heartbreaking moments alone; reflecting, growing, and finding myself again. I don’t take a love like that for granted now. It’s special, and deserves to be put on a pedestal.

“Recording this song with Howard was really special. From the get-go, he understood the emotion and story behind the lyrics. We both knew this song was going to be special, and treated it with the emotional sensitivity needed to not just hear the song, but to feel it.”

Judge & Jury Records is a powerhouse record label and production company founded by multi-platinum producer Howard Benson (My Chemical RomanceSeetherSkilletOf Mice & Men) and Neil Sanderson of Three Days Grace.

Benson and Sanderson meticulously crafted the instrumentation for Butcher Babies’ new LP at West Valley Recording StudiosBenson‘s studio in Woodland Hills, California.

Howard says about “Lost In Your Touch”: “I gravitated to this song immediately because of the vulnerability of the lyrics. To me, as a producer, if I can get lyrics like this that I know the vocalist will deliver — like Heidi delivers the emotions in this song — that’s so critical to the track connecting.”

  • HELD., Featuring Members Of THE SLEEPING And COHEED AND CAMBRIA, Drops New Single “Constant Tension”

Held., the new trio featuring Douglas Robinson and Sal Mignano of The Sleeping alongside Josh Eppard of Coheed And Cambria, have dropped “Constant Tension,” the second single from their debut album Grey. The record is set for release May 15 through MNRK Heavy.

The five-minute track follows their first single, “New You Anthem,” which featured Frank Iero and drew early attention. Revolver highlighted its “lightning-strike guitar… and thunderous drums,” while Alternative Press called it “rousing,” and idobi described it as a “dazzling post-hardcore tune.”

Where “New You Anthem” focused on connection and release, “Constant Tension” shifts inward. The song digs into internal conflict, backed by a video directed by Adam Thomson that continues the narrative introduced in the band’s first clip. The visual approach leans into sci-fi territory, matching the themes that run through Grey.

Robinson breaks down the meaning behind the track in detail: “‘Constant Tension’ stems from an everlasting battle within myself to embrace who I am via internal reflection. It’s all of my strengths fighting against all of my weaknesses. There is a ‘constant tension,’ a violent push and pull within my mind every single day. I let myself down so much, to the point where I often feel like I have to somewhat abandon myself and step outside to try and see the bigger picture, but the hurt inside of me pulls me back into my own thoughts. I go completely blank to try and focus, which oddly enough resorts to more tension, and more clouded thoughts. It feels like an endless cycle. The lyrics to ‘Constant Tension’ mirror all of this.”

To mark the release, Held. have scheduled an intimate Grey listening party on Thursday, March 5, at Selva in Brooklyn. The band will be present from 7 to 10 p.m., and no RSVP is required.

On Grey, Held. pull from decades of combined experience in the post-hardcore and alternative scenes. Robinson sees the album as a defining step in his evolution as a writer. “The album as a whole truly feels like it’s everything I have ever wanted to write in my time growing as a musician,” he says. “This record has, in many ways, healed me…. or, it’s at least trying to.”

The album was produced and mixed by Jon Markson — known for his work with Drug Church, Drain, and The Story So Far — and recorded at the Animal Farm in Flemington, New Jersey. With “Constant Tension,” Held. continue to set the tone for a debut built on confrontation, reflection, and weight.

  • After A 23-Year Hiatus BURTON CUMMINGS And RANDY BACHMAN Reveal U.S. Tour As THE GUESS WHO

More than two decades after they last toured under the name, Burton Cummings and Randy Bachman are heading back out as The Guess Who, announcing a full U.S. headline run billed as the Takin’ It Back tour. It marks the first time in 23 years the pair will perform as The Guess Who, closing a long chapter and reopening another for fans who grew up on their records.

The U.S. leg launches June 25 at Mystic Lake Amphitheater in Minneapolis, Minnesota. From there, the tour rolls through major markets including Chicago, Detroit, Boston, Atlanta, and Los Angeles. Support on the run will come from Don Felder, formerly of The Eagles.

Speaking about the reunion, Burton Cummings said: “Randy and I are incredibly grateful that our music has endured all these years. Knowing that people still want to hear these songs live means everything to us, and when we go out on stage, our goal is to truly honor the music.”

Randy Bachman added: “I’m really excited about reuniting with Burton and touring again as The Guess Who. We created an amazing body of work together, along with memories that have lasted for decades, and those songs are still as strong as ever. I can’t wait to sing them with everyone very soon.”

Tickets will first be available through a Citi presale beginning Wednesday, March 4 at 10 a.m. local time, followed by an artist presale the same day at 12 p.m. local. Additional presales are scheduled throughout the week, leading up to the general onsale Friday, March 6 at 10 a.m. local via here. Citi cardmembers can access presale tickets from March 4 at 10 a.m. local through March 5 at 10 p.m. local time as part of the Citi Entertainment program.

Before the U.S. dates, the Takin’ It Back tour begins in Canada, with stops in Toronto, Winnipeg, Calgary, Edmonton, and more. Those shows are already on sale.

Formed in 1965, The Guess Who built a catalog that crossed borders and radio formats. Often labeled “the Canadian Beatles,” the band released eleven studio albums that charted in both Canada and the United States, including “American Woman”, which hit No. 1 in Canada and No. 9 in the U.S. Along the way, they landed fourteen singles in the U.S. Top 40 and more than thirty in Canada, with staples like “American Woman,” “These Eyes,” “No Sugar Tonight/New Mother Nature,” and “No Time” becoming fixtures of classic rock radio.

For hard rock fans, this tour is about more than nostalgia. It’s about hearing songs that helped define an era played by the writers who made them. After years of legal wrangling over the band’s name, Burton Cummings and Randy Bachman are stepping back onto the stage together as The Guess Who, bringing that catalog with them.

  • BLOODBOUND Releases Video For “The Nine Crusades” Featuring BRITTNEY SLAYES Of UNLEASH THE ARCHERS

Having ridden into their latest battle with their eleventh epic full-length Field Of Swords, Swedish power metal warriors Bloodbound have released another video single from the album. “The Nine Crusades” is another historically-themed anthem, retelling the titular events in typical Bloodbound style: A sweeping blend of melodic and heavy power metal. Joining their conquest is powerhouse vocalist Brittney Slayes of Canadian band Unleash The Archers, on a duet with Patrik J. Selleby in a glorious mid-tempo anthem. Not only is “The Nine Crusades” the perfect album closer, but also a powerful herald of what’s to come.

Bloodbound are currently getting ready to share their new songs live. Starting March 12 in Hamburg, they will be on tour supporting labelmates Angus MCSIX, with additional support from Brainstorm. Their run will take them to eleven cities, ending in Eindhoven on March 22. Following, Bloodbound will play European festivals, including mountainous Full Metal Mayrhofen, organized by Wacken Open Air, and Alcatraz Festival in Belgium.

Fredrik Bergh comments about “The Nine Crusades”: “The major part of this song was actually written by myself and Tomas back in 2018, and it was written especially for the band Sabaton! Joakim Brodén from Sabaton liked the rough demo and wanted to work further on this song together with us, but the collaboration never materialized. I have always felt it was a very strong track, so we decided to record the song ourselves for the new album instead. I am super proud of this song. I feel it’s one of the best songs I’ve ever been involved in writing! The song features the great Brittney Slayes from Unleash The Archers, who sings the song as a duet together with Patrik.”

Tomas Olsson commented about “The Nine Crusades”: “This song is a summation of the Crusader era, 1096–1291. During this period nine crusades took place. It is estimated that over 2 million people died.”

Brittney Slayes says about “The Nine Crusades”: “It is such an honor to be featured on this Bloodbound track; I have been a fan of the band for well over a decade so when they approached me about doing some guest vocals of course the answer was a resounding yes! This song is quite different from what we do in Unleash The Archers, and is not at all like my own writing style, so I was excited to be able sing something new and to put my own spin on it. The whole collaboration had been a blast, and I’m glad I was able to make it into the music video as well; it was very nice of them to include me. Hopefully the fans enjoy this song and feel I added something worthwhile to this already amazing band!”

Bloodbound‘s first release with Napalm Records adds another 11 captivating battle hymns to their repertoire. A diverse record with aggressive songs and epic tracks alike, their eleventh album also contains some of the band’s fastest material ever written.

The opening title track, “Field Of Swords”, immediately storms into Bloodbound‘s signature sound, braiding stories of glory with a sweeping blend of melodic and heavy power metal. The dominant “As Empires Fall” follows the crusaders east and powerfully depicts said glory in epic battle in contrast with sacrifices made on the way. “Defenders Of Jerusalem” cleverly expands on the topic of loss, leaving listeners to wonder which side is holding their heads up high in the face of imminent defeat. Catchy flutes have the heroes take heart in “The Code Of Warriors” to guide them into the “Land Of The Brave” and “Field Of Swords” to new heights at the same time. “Light In The Sky” further illustrates Bloodbound‘s battle scars turned electrifying sound, while the mature “Teutonic Knights” opens up the bleak reality of the tragedy that undoubtedly accompanies this battle-torn era of history. Yet, “Forged In Iron”, “Pain and Glory”, and “Born to be King” hold their ground as equally unforgettable tunes, all leading up to the brilliant finale with Brittney Slayes of Canadian band Unleash The Archers joins “The Nine Crusades” as another valuable fighter to lead Field Of Swords to greatness.

Field Of Swords is available here in the following formats:

  • NERVOSA Releases Fierce New Single “Ghost Notes” From Their Upcoming Album “Slave Machine”

Metal heroines Nervosa unleash a new single from their upcoming album, Slave Machine, out on April 3 via Napalm Records.

“Ghost Notes” lets loose a storm of heavy, yet easily recognizable riffs, driven by impelling drums and the ever-so-furious vocals of Prika Amaral. Culminating in a powerful guitar solo, “Ghost Notes” shows yet another side of the versatile Brazilian thrash band.

Once again working with producer Martin Furia of German legends Destruction for their upcoming release, the women bridge the gap between old-school power and critical modernity.

Nervosa comments about “Ghost Notes”: “Strong and heavy riffs with a lot of groove showing deep feelings in a very poetic way, this song is definitely special in many ways”.

Nervosa unleash another round of fury on their new album, Slave Machine. Their sixth album shows the Brazilian modern thrash metal band releasing their inner beasts at staggering speed and with formidable emphasis. Having performed at the biggest metal festivals worldwide, from Wacken to Hellfest, and making a lasting impression on fans and critics alike, Nervosa aims to consolidate their standing as genre frontrunners. With founding guitarist Prika Amaral established as their new singer with their previous record, Jailbreak (2023), they tear through the scene with the force of a sledgehammer.

Nervosa erupts as a metal volcano with their latest record. Never settling, always exploring, one staggering riff after another, Slave Machine is a crushing statement—it comes, sees, and conquers.

Nervosa comments about the album: “Slave Machine is the most brutal and melodic album of Nervosa, and we are proud to take this step further, keeping our roots.”

12 new songs show the five-piece exploring their crushing style in an enhanced way. Opener “Impending Doom” builds up menacingly, using thunderous riffs and jagged drums to establish the women’s dominance in the scene. The title track, “Slave Machine,” instantly turns up the speed and adds a surprising alternative bridge to the already catchy chorus, showing a slightly different side of the metal powerhouses. The follower “Ghost Notes” unleashes a storm of heavy, yet easily recognizable riffs, driven by impelling drums and the ever-so furious vocals of Prika Amaral, crowned by an astounding guitar solo.

Through “Beast Of Burden,” Nervosa show their harshest side, while “You Are Not A Hero” offers a grand chorus, gifting Slave Machine a true anthem. “Hate” unfolds with raw brutality, and “The New Empire” looks for destruction with melodic precision. “30 Seconds” rises up to new heights, while “Crawl For Your Pride” combines Nervosa‘s trademark social criticism with gut-punching songwriting. Throughout “Learn Or Repeat” and “The Call,” the band once again sprinkles in some pieces of modern groove with old-school vibes before Slave Machine rears up one final time on the threateningly sinister “Speak In Fire.”

Slave Machine can be pre-order here. It will be available in the following formats:

    • 2LP Gatefold Splatter Cristallo/Black + Black, incl. 12″ Black Vinyl + 12″ Booklet – strictly limited to 300 copies worldwide

  • SHARON OSBOURNE Confirms Ozzfest Return: “Yes, Absolutely, We’re Gonna Do It”

Sharon Osbourne has confirmed that Ozzfest is coming back in 2027. Speaking at MIDEM 2026 in Cannes on 02/06, she was unambiguous: “Yes, absolutely. Yeah, we’re gonna do it.”

She traced the gap back to the last edition, a New Year’s Eve show at The Forum in Los Angeles on 12/31/2018 — just weeks before Ozzy Osbourne fell ill. “There were no plans to stop it. We were still gonna do it, but Ozzy couldn’t. And Ozzy and I would talk about it, and he’d say, ‘Do you think Ozzfest would work without me?’ And I’m, like, ‘Yeah, it’s a brand. It will work without you.’ And he said, ‘We should do it.’”

That 2018 show drew 12,465 attendees and $1.2 million in ticket sales, with Ozzy headlining alongside Rob Zombie, Marilyn Manson, Korn‘s Jonathan Davis on a solo set, and Body Count. Outside, a second stage was headlined by Zakk Sabbath, the Black Sabbath tribute project fronted by Ozzy‘s longtime guitarist Zakk Wylde.

The festival’s roots go back 30 years, when it became the first national hard rock touring festival in the U.S. It ran as a traveling event through 2007, then scaled back to scattered one-off dates before merging with Slipknot‘s Knotfest for a two-day run in 2017.

Earlier this year, Sharon told Billboard she had already been in talks with Live Nation about a revival, and that the next version would carry a wider musical scope. “I’d like to mix up the genres,” she said. Her pitch for bringing it back centers on what she considers Ozzfest’s original purpose: “It was something Ozzy was very passionate about: giving young talent a stage in front of a lot of people. We really started metal festivals in this country. It was [replicated but] never done with the spirit of what ours was, because ours was a place for new talent. It was like summer camp for kids.”

The financial reality of running a festival came up during a 2024 episode of “The Osbournes” podcast, when the family discussed the challenges of booking talent without getting priced out. Sharon was blunt about the problem: “It’s great. That’s what we wanted — everybody to do spin-offs and do their own festivals, and it’s great. It’s great for fans; it’s brilliant. But why is it when it comes to us that everybody thinks that we are trillionaires, and so that every manager who wants their band on our festival wants one of the fucking trillions they think we’ve got to put on the festival?”

Ozzy floated the idea of leaning into lesser-known acts, and Sharon pushed back gently, stressing that headliners remain a necessity while defending the smaller stage as the festival’s real identity: “You can do it for a baby stage, but you still need the headliners. It’s always great to have the baby stage, I mean, that’s what it’s all about — breaking new bands. That’s why we did it.”

She also spoke to the practical value of that developmental setup for newer acts: “It’s very hard for acts who are not known to suddenly go and be in front of 50,000 people on a main stage at a festival and understand what they’re meant to do. It’s very intimidating. You could have maybe five thousand people at that baby stage, and then to go from five to fifty to sixty thousand people, and it’s really, really hard for baby bands. They’ve pay their dues anyway. That’s what it’s all about.”

When son Jack noted that most recent U.S. rock festivals are “basically just Ozzfest,” Sharon took it as validation rather than competition: “Well, it’s the same bands just going around and around and around. But that’s what’s so good, because we started something, people have taken it, and it’s still great for the genre. It’s really good.”

  • JOE SATRIANI & STEVE VAI Release New SATCHVAI BAND Single And Music Video For “Dancing”

Legendary guitar icons Joe Satriani and Steve Vai return with the SatchVai Band release of their brand-new single, “Dancing,” out now via earMUSIC, alongside a wildly entertaining new video directed by Satriani’s son, ZZ Satriani. Watch the official “Dancing” music video below.

Musically, “Dancing” – a reimagined interpretation of a song by iconic Italian singer, pianist, and songwriter Paolo Conte – showcases the SatchVai Band at full throttle.

A vibrant, melodic conversation between two of rock’s most expressive guitar voices. Built on momentum, melody, and fearless musical chemistry, the track captures the spirit of spontaneity and joy that defined their electrifying European tour.

The video stars actor, comedian, and musician Brendon Small (Metalacolpyse, Dethklok), a longtime friend of both guitarists, who hilariously portrays an overzealous talent manager pushing the duo to cast dancers for the band’s upcoming live show.

The chaos unfolds in sync with the track’s fast-moving melodic interplay between Satriani and Vai — a rapid-fire exchange of soaring guitar lines that mirrors the eccentric parade of auditioning performers. Eagle-eyed fans will also spot a cameo from the band’s powerhouse drummer Kenny Aronoff, adding to the tongue-in-cheek energy.

Satriani shares, “‘Dancing’ really captures the playful side of what Steve, and I discovered on stage together last summer — that push-and-pull of melody and energy. The video gave us a chance to show that spirit in a completely different way. Watching ZZ bring this absurd casting concept to life — and having Brendon step into the madness — made it even more fun.”

Vai adds, “This band thrives on surprise — musically and visually. ‘Dancing’ is a perfect example of that. It’s melodic but relentless, and the video turns that energy into a kind of surreal comedy. It’s a glimpse into the personality of this band before we even hit the stage.”

The release arrives as the SatchVai Band prepares to bring their “Surfing With The Hydra” 2026 U.S. Tour stateside for the first time. Launching April 1st in Seattle and running through May 30th at Wolf Trap, the tour follows a celebrated European run that included stops in London, Paris, Copenhagen, and festival appearances at Hellfest, Umbria Jazz Festival, and Guitares en Scène.
