Eminence has released the official music video for their new single, “Silent March,” featuring a guest appearance by guitarist Andreas Kisser of Sepultura. The video was directed by bassist Davidson Mainart.
The track was recorded at AntFarm Studios in Denmark during a landmark 2025 session produced by Tue Madsen (Heaven Shall Burn, Meshuggah, Behemoth) — the fulfillment of a long-held dream for the band to record on European soil. Guest drummer Charles Moreira (Pense, Colid) also performed on the track, with visual identity handled through artwork by Rafael Moco.
Eminence was formed in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil, and has been active for nearly three decades. Led by guitarist and founding member Alan Wallace, the band has completed over 30 international tours, performing in Colombia, New Zealand, Japan, Suriname, Mexico, the United States, China, and across Europe.
They were among the first Brazilian representatives to perform in the United Arab Emirates at the Sandstorm Festival. Festival highlights include Rock in Rio (2015, 2019, and 2022), Woodstock Festival in Poland, South by Southwest in the U.S., Summer Breeze Brazil (2024), and Knotfest Brazil (2024). The band was also invited to join Sepultura‘s farewell tour, playing historic shows in Belo Horizonte and Juiz de Fora.
In 2021, Eminence released Dark Echoes with Tue Madsen, featuring guest appearances from Björn “Speed” Strid of Soilwork, among others. The current lineup is Alan Wallace (guitar/synths), Bruno Paraguay (vocals), Davidson Mainart (bass), and Thiago Caeiro (drums).
Canadian progressive rock icons Saga have announced “Saga 50 — 1977–2027: The Generations Tour,” a special 50th anniversary tour set for 2027. The announcement comes as the band prepares to return to live performances later this month with a series of carefully selected Canadian engagements.
For those upcoming shows, frontman Michael Sadler will rejoin guitarist Ian Crichton and keyboardist Jim Gilmour in the core lineup following his extended recovery after being diagnosed with cancer. Mike Thorne remains the primary drummer, though the highly capable Brad Park may step in for selected dates. On bass, Mike Borkosky returns after performing with Saga on the 2024 tour, marking the end of Dusty Chesterfield‘s time with the band.
Last July, Sadler denied that he was terminally ill, a day after revealing that the rare form of aggressive, muscle-invasive cancer with which he was diagnosed in 2024 was “incurable and untreatable.” His wife, Gwen, first revealed the diagnosis in September 2024, describing it as “a highly aggressive form of muscle-invasive cancer, a rare type that occurs in only 3–5% of cases.”
Saga formed in 1977 in Oakville, Ontario, Canada, and released their first album in 1978. The band has sold 10 million albums and performed in over 20 countries to more than 15 million people. Their most recent studio album is Symmetry, released in March 2021 via earMusic. Hits include “Don’t Be Late,” “Wind Him Up,” “On The Loose,” “The Flyer,” and “Scratching The Surface.”
The band is widely regarded as one of the most influential progressive rock bands in Canada and around the world.
Wednesday 13 — the namesake band of the former frontman of the Murderdolls — has announced Un-Alive at Pol’and’Rock 2025, a live album recorded at the Czaplinek-Broczyno airfield in northwestern Poland.
It was a hot day in the Polish summer, and over 750,000 fans had crammed their way into the Czaplinek-Broczyno Airfield for the 2025 Pol’and’Rock Festival, a storied tradition for over 30 years. The Duke of Spook, Wednesday 13, hot off his smash hit album Mid Death Crisis, took the stage and proceeded to decimate onlookers with a triumphant hit parade, commanding the crowd with excitement and awe.
Wednesday 13 said, “I’m so excited for the release of our new live album. And it’s not just a live record in front of a few people; this is the biggest concert we’ve ever played. Over 750,000 people in attendance for the Pol’and’Rock festival, where we delivered one of the most memorable Wednesday 13 concerts of our career.”
The album is a career-spanning set drawing from both the Wednesday 13 and Murderdolls catalogs. Murderdolls classics “Summertime Suicide” and “197666” appear alongside solo highlights including “Look What The Bats Dragged In” and “Bad Things” from Transylvania 90210, “Too Fast For Blood” from The Dixie Dead, “Good Day To Be A Bad Guy” from Horrifier, and a clutch of tracks from Mid Death Crisis including “In Misery,” “When The Devil Commands” and “Rotting Away.”

Wednesday 13 will also embark on the “Shocktober Blood” North American tour this fall, kicking off Sept. 23 in San Jose, Calif., and haunting major cities including Portland, Las Vegas, Raleigh, N.C., and Nashville, Tenn. before concluding on Halloween in Denver.
Mid Death Crisis — previously described by Wednesday 13 as a fun, campy, “leave-your-brain-at-the-door” rager and a true return to his hard-rocking roots — was produced by guitarist Alex Kane (Life, Sex & Death, Enuff Z’Nuff, Antiproduct) and mixed by Steve Evetts (The Dillinger Escape Plan, Prong, DevilDriver). The album features a guest vocal from Faster Pussycat‘s Taime Downe. The current lineup is Wednesday 13 (vocals), Jack Tankersley (guitar), Ashes (lead guitar), Troy Doebbler (bass), and Mike Dupke (drums).
Slayer will celebrate the 40th anniversary of Reign in Blood by performing the album in its entirety on a Latin American tour this fall, with five dates running Oct. 21 through Dec. 17, 2026. Kreator supports on four of the five dates.
In Los Angeles, a second Kia Forum show has been added on Nov. 14 after the Nov. 13 date sold out during Citi and artist presales. The two Kia Forum shows will mark Slayer‘s first Los Angeles concerts in seven years. The band will also headline a “Reign in Blood” anniversary show at Mystic Lake Amphitheater in Shakopee, Minn., on Sept. 4. These three U.S. headline dates are the only domestic shows at which Slayer will perform Reign in Blood in full; festival appearances throughout the year will feature different sets.

The lineup for all of Slayer‘s comeback shows in 2024 and 2025 was the same as the one that last toured in 2019: guitarist Kerry King and drummer Paul Bostaph, alongside bassist/vocalist Tom Araya and guitarist Gary Holt. In 2025, the band performed at Hersheypark Stadium in Hershey, Pa. (30,000-seat capacity, Sept. 20), Louder Than Life in Louisville, Ky., Blackweir Fields in Cardiff, U.K., Finsbury Park in London, and the Festival D’été De Québec in Canada. The band also played a six-song set at Black Sabbath‘s sold-out “Back to the Beginning” final concert on July 5, 2025, at Villa Park in Birmingham, England.
Reign in Blood was released on Oct. 7, 1986, via Def Jam Recordings and marked the band’s first collaboration with producer Rick Rubin. Kerrang! magazine described it as “the heaviest album of all time” and a breakthrough in thrash metal and speed metal. The album was the band’s first to enter the Billboard 200 chart, debuting at No. 94, and was certified gold by the RIAA on Nov. 20, 1992, for sales in excess of 500,000 copies.
The release of Reign in Blood was delayed due to concerns over its graphic artwork and lyrical subject matter, particularly the opening track “Angel of Death,” which refers to Josef Mengele and describes acts committed at Auschwitz. Allegations of Nazism followed, though the band repeatedly stated they did not condone Nazism and were solely interested in the subject as a documentary. Guitarist Jeff Hanneman previously said: “‘Angel of Death’ was a big problem… Sony wasn’t going to release it. I remember being at home, pissed, throwing things… I didn’t think anything was wrong with ‘Angel of Death’ or anything else we did; it’s a documentary! There’s no ‘Heil Hitler’ or ‘white people rule,’ it’s a documentary; grow up, people.”
Sinner, led by Mat Sinner, will release its final studio album, Boom Bang Goodbye, on July 31 through Reigning Phoenix Music.
The upcoming record closes the book on more than four decades of Sinner, a run that produced 19 albums and established the band as a longtime presence in the German metal scene. Alongside his work with Primal Fear, Mat Sinner used the project to explore a more melodic hard rock and heavy metal direction over the years.
The band has also released a video for the single “Wait”. Speaking about the song, Mat Sinner said: “I wanted the first song on the album to be a feel-good, upbeat track, something to lift your spirits, because I didn’t want to add to the political madness we’re in with a depressing soundtrack. ‘Wait’ is also representative of the whole album. Working with Michael Bormann again after 10 years was an instant connection; the chemistry was perfect. And, like on the entire album, drummer Moritz Müller and my partner Alex Scholpp delivered an incredibly awesome performance. Plus, my friend Jacob Hansen did an absolutely brilliant mix, and Mat was 100% happy!”
Boom Bang Goodbye also brings together several notable guest musicians, including Ronnie Romero of Rainbow, Michael Sadler from Saga, Björn “Speed” Strid of Soilwork, Jim Müller from Kissin’ Dynamite, and Erik Mårtensson of Eclipse.
The final Sinner album looks set to deliver one last collection of melodic heavy rock backed by a lineup of experienced musicians connected to several major names in European metal and hard rock.
Stryper have released a new single titled “I’m Alright (I’m Okay)”, continuing the veteran band’s long-running mix of melodic heavy metal and faith-based themes.
Decades into their career, Stryper are still leaning into the sound that helped establish them in the metal scene while adding modern production touches that fit where the band is today.
Frontman Michael Sweet spoke about the new track, saying: “This one is for the old school metal heads. It’s a little 1985 mixed with a little 1991, with a little 2026 sprinkled on top. It has all the qualities that you’ve come to expect from Stryper, yet it also blends in perfectly with the times we live in. It’s a battle cry to stand strong and persevere no matter what, while believing that you will be alright, you will be okay!”
The single arrives alongside an official lyric video and gives fans another taste of the band’s classic approach built around sharp guitar work, strong melodies, and uplifting lyrical themes.
Following the release of “I’m Alright (I’m Okay)”, Stryper are preparing to head back on tour beginning June 5 in Anaheim, California at the Grove of Anaheim.
Tom Morello has announced the Power To The People festival, a one-day event focused on music, activism, and community action set for October 3, 2026 at the Merriweather Post Pavilion.
The festival news was revealed while Tom Morello was on tour with Bruce Springsteen, who helped announce the event onstage during a recent show at Nationals Park.
Pre-sale tickets become available Friday, May 29 at 10 a.m. ET, while general ticket sales begin Saturday, May 30 at 10 a.m. ET here.
The lineup includes performances from Foo Fighters, Bruce Springsteen, Dave Matthews, Joan Baez, Brittany Howard, Dropkick Murphys, Jack Black, Serj Tankian, Cypress Hill, Killer Mike, Grandson, The Neighborhood Kids, Taylor Momsen, Matt Cameron, The Linda Lindas, and Darryl “DMC” McDaniels. The event will also feature artwork and a DJ set from Shepard Fairey.
Speaking about the event, Tom Morello said: “The Power To The People festival is about freedom, justice, equality, and rock and roll. It’s about the power that everyday human beings have when they come together through music, art, community, and action. We’re honored to bring this incredible lineup to the D.C. area for a day that celebrates the spirit of activism, creativity, and hope.”
Alongside live performances across two stages, the festival will host the Freedom Village area, where attendees can connect with nonprofit organizations, advocacy groups, artists, and community partners focused on civic engagement and grassroots activism.
Part of the festival proceeds, including all net proceeds from VIP ticket sales, will go to VoteRiders and HeadCount. HeadCount will also be present at the event, helping fans register to vote and learn more about election participation.

Sun Dont Shine — the band featuring Kirk Windstein (guitar/vocals; Crowbar, Down, Kingdom of Sorrow), former Type O Negative members Kenny Hickey (guitar/vocals), Johnny Kelly (drums), and Todd Strange (Crowbar, Down) — has released the official music video for “All You Wasted.” The clip was shot by Mike Holderbeast. The band was formerly known as Eye Am.
“All You Wasted” is taken from Sun Dont Shine‘s debut album, From Birth to Death, which was released April 1 via Corpse Paint Records.
Hickey said: “I don’t want our music to be one-dimensional. I don’t want it to be just dark and doomy or always so heavy. I want it to be both light and dark, dynamic and unpredictable.”
At its core, Sun Dont Shine is about rejecting the overly polished and letting the music speak for itself. With Windstein‘s earth-shaking riffs and Hickey‘s evocative, often ethereal melodies, the band strikes a delicate balance between heavy and haunting. Kelly‘s drumming keeps things tight while Strange‘s bass lines anchor the bottom end. Influences span Black Sabbath to The Beatles.
Regarding the name change from Eye Am to Sun Dont Shine, Hickey told Revolver: “There was another metal band called I Am, and also a rap band called Eyeam, spelled exactly like [us] on Spotify. We tried to trademark the name, but we found out the rapper already owned it. So, we were not able to go forward. But that was just a mock-up name that Andrew came up with, you know what I mean? We didn’t figure we were gonna even be a band. Same thing happened with Type O back in the day. We were called Sub-Zero, but there was another band named Sub-Zero and they threatened [to sue]. We had all gotten the negative tattoos already — you know, ‘Sub-Zero’ — and then history [became] history. It ended up being Type O Negative.”
Under the Eye Am name, the band released singles “Dreams Always Die With The Sun” (June 2023) and “Cryptomnesia” (November 2023) via Corpse Paint Records, both with music videos shot and directed by Holderbeast at OCD Recording and Production. The band’s first single under the Sun Dont Shine name, “The Promise Song,” came out in January 2025. Although an EP called Coming Down was announced in June 2025, the band later chose to focus on recording a full-length album instead.
Hickey and Kelly had previously collaborated in Seventh Void, which released Heaven Is Gone in 2009, and Silvertomb, which issued Edge of Existence in 2019. Original Crowbar bassist Strange returned to the band in 2016 for the touring cycle in support of The Serpent Only Lies before departing once again to focus on his family. Windstein, who also plays in the New Orleans supergroup Down, previously recorded two albums with Hatebreed‘s Jamey Jasta under the Kingdom of Sorrow banner and has issued two solo albums.

Moonspell has released the official music video for “Cross Your Heart,” the opening track from the Portuguese dark metal band’s forthcoming studio album, Far From God. The release follows the positive reception of the album’s title track and single, and came in the wake of Moonspell‘s acclaimed live appearance at the Wave-Gotik-Treffen festival. Far From God is due July 3 via Napalm Records.
Where the title track explored tragic vampiric romance, “Cross Your Heart” turns its gaze toward the roads that connect and separate us. Blending the classic atmosphere of the band’s legendary Irreligious era with a modern and sharper edge, the song unfolds as a dark, melancholic anthem. Driven by brooding melodies, grounded riffing and emotional depth, the track pairs Moonspell frontman Fernando Ribeiro‘s unmistakable vocals with a reflection on mortality, memory and life spent in motion.
Ribeiro commented: “Reminiscent of Irreligious with a modern and dark twist, this gothic metal song tells us about the shrines that we can frequently find on the roads of all countries in the world and that are erected as a painful memory to those who departed in car and bike crashes, often too soon, every time too painfully. Like a band who made miles upon miles and a few crashes themselves, we are privileged observers of the daily and nightly life on the roads, the promised cities, the bitter disappointments, the anguish of a portable life. Ribeiro previously commented on the title track: “I lost my faith and hope in vampires for quite a few years. They became the clowns of Hollywood, the cheap Halloween shop customs, the old and disgraceful Princes from the East. Until the film director Robert Eggers brought us Nosferatu in 2024 and I was immediately attracted back to that tragic, romantic character who Bram Stoker immortalized in his letters. I wrote ‘Far From God’ in just one breath and it’s our first song about vampiric love in ages. I confess I felt the urge of, together with Moonspell, saving the face of gothic metal which became hostage of semi-tuned operatic female vocalists, simpleton and crunchy guitar riffs; and of lyrical content that would make Dracula impale himself with a stake in his bloodless heart. This song is the essence of this album, its title, its video, its soul. And you can even feel the fire of daylight burning into yours and your lover’s skin.”
Thematically, Far From God moves through Baudelairian love, existential guilt and redemption, with vampires, werewolves and sacred symbolism serving as vehicles for genuine dark emotion: solemn, romantic and unfiltered. The album rejects artificial gloss in favor of fantasy grounded in sincerity.
Ribeiro said of creating the record: “To create Far From God, we had to wait for the muse. Again, she didn’t fail us and revealed herself in the most mysterious and beautiful ways to us. It took us five long years of hit and miss, of despairing to the point of thinking we didn’t have it anymore, and why should we at all create new music? But I’m glad we persisted. Far From God is a true crusade against the decline of the style in the past few years, a darkly crafted statement that Moonspell is here to stay and to claim our throne. No politics, no socials, no intervention, just sickly romantic love, vampires, werewolves so we can all die of beauty, in peace and elegance. Goth bless you.”
Far From God was produced with Jaime Gomez Arellano (Paradise Lost, Sólstafir, Ghost), who previously worked with Moonspell on 2021’s Hermitage. The album’s artwork was painted by Eliran Kantor.
