KOMODO UNLEASH SECOND STUDIO ALBUM BATTLE PASS — OUT MAY 29, 2026
Panama City, Panama — Panamanian metal force Komodo are ready to hit the next level with the release of their highly anticipated second studio album Battle Pass , arriving on all digital platforms May 29, 2026 via Soman Records.
Forged through relentless touring, international recognition, and a fearless creative evolution, Komodo have built serious momentum leading into this release. The band claimed victory at the Wacken Open Air Metal Battle Central America, shared stages during Sepultura Farewell Tour , and took home “Band of the Year” and “Metal Single of the Year” at the Rockzany Music Awards. With performances across seven countries, they’ve proven they’re not just another rising act, they’re a band with teeth.
Instead of rushing into a traditional album cycle, Komodo took a sharp left turn after 2022. They ditched the conventional formula and embraced a “Battle Pass” mindset inspired by gaming culture. Rather than writing an album front to back, they focused on crafting standalone singles, each with its own identity, visual style, and sonic direction. No filler, no safety net, just high-impact releases.
That gamble paid off.
Battle Pass is the culmination of that era. It pulls together this series of singles along with four brand-new, unreleased tracks into a 10-song record that hits hard from every angle. The sound is dynamic and unapologetic, blending the razor-sharp aggression of Megadeth , the melodic ambition of Avenged Sevenfold , and the unpredictable vocal edge reminiscent of System of a Down . You get crushing breakdowns, soaring melodies, and hooks that stick whether you like it or not.
What makes this record stand out is its contrast. It’s heavy without being one-note, melodic without losing bite. You can hear the freedom in it. No label pressure, no forced cohesion. Just a band doing exactly what they want, and doing it well.
Now they’re wrapping that chapter up and kicking the door open to the next one.
With Battle Pass , Komodo deliver a record that not only defines where they’ve been but sets the tone for where they’re headed. And if this is them “between phases,” the next full-scale assault ought to be something else entirely.

Converge – “Doom In Bloom”
Our absolute bounty of new Converge music continues. Back in February, the Boston metallic hardcore legends released Love Is Not Enough, their first proper non-collab album in nine years. It’s fucking fire. Next month, Converge will follow that LP with Hum Of Hurt, their second brand new album of the year. It’ll almost certainly kick…

FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH Announces 2027 European Arena Tour With LAMB OF GOD & BLEED FROM WITHIN
Five Finger Death Punch has announced the European leg of its 20th-anniversary world tour, a 21-city run scheduled for January 16 through Feb. 22, 2027. Special guest Lamb Of God will appear on most dates; Scottish metallers Bleed From Within will round out the package. Tickets go on general sale May 8 at 10 a.m. local time (France: May 13). For more information, head over here.
Founding guitarist Zoltan Bathory said in a statement: “We built this band like a battleship, twenty years of everything life could throw at us, and we’re not just still here, we’re still growing. New fans discovering us every day, the fanbase is bigger now than it’s ever been. This world tour is the celebration that this milestone deserves. First leg is America in 2026, then Europe in 2027, and we’re not stopping there! South America, Australia, and Asia are all in the talks. This is going to be a big two or three years for Five Finger Death Punch, and we’re just getting started.”
Five Finger Death Punch‘s tenth studio album is expected later in 2026, with the first new single due this month. The European run will showcase material from the new LP alongside the band’s catalog of No. 1 hits. The North American leg of the 20th-anniversary tour runs July 20 through Oct. 23, 2026 — 48 cities opening at Freedom Mortgage Pavilion in Camden, New Jersey, with outlaw country artist Cody Jinks and Eva Under Fire as support.
The 21-date European run opens Jan. 16 in Manchester (AO Arena) and visits Glasgow, Dublin, Birmingham, and London before crossing to the continent for stops in Dusseldorf, Hamburg, Lodz, Prague, Munich, Stuttgart, Amsterdam, Brussels, Paris, Zurich, Vienna, Berlin, Copenhagen, Oslo, Stockholm, and Helsinki, wrapping Feb. 22. Lamb of God will not appear at the Copenhagen date; the Prague date will feature Czech support Dymytry in their place.
Lamb Of God‘s latest album, Into Oblivion, is out now. Bleed From Within has built a reputation as one of heavy music’s most exciting live acts through relentless touring and critically acclaimed releases.
Five Finger Death Punch was formed in Las Vegas in 2005 and released its debut album, The Way Of The Fist, in 2007. The band’s most recent studio releases — Best Of: Volume 1 and Best Of: Volume 2 — feature newly re-recorded versions of the band’s biggest hits, including No. 1 single “I Refuse” (featuring Maria Brink) and “The End” (featuring Babymetal). Both collections were created in response to the sale of the band’s original masters, which occurred without the band’s knowledge or opportunity to reclaim them.

Social Treble Crowded Silence Review
Social Treble Crowded Silence Review
This song is an intense and dystopian journey through sound. The artist’s vision is futuristic, exploring the overwhelming pressure of our technology-dominated environment. It mirrors the foreboding futures seen in film, as with the imagery of Sarah Connor in “Terminator.” Here, ominous clouds loom on the horizon, predicting a dark future shaped by technological control.

The music blends modern beats with echoes of the past. It aligns familiar sounds with innovative techniques, creating a unique listening experience. A standout feature is the guitar sound, which emerges like a soothing rain amidst an industrial groove. This combination accentuates the mood, accentuating the tension between the serene and the mechanical.
The track transcends typical instrumentation. It feels almost like a cinematic score, firing neurons in the mind and fostering visionary thoughts. It creates an atmosphere that invites deep contemplation, allowing listeners to escape into a creative realm. This transformation occurs in segments, where moments fluctuate between intensity and serenity.
Crowded Silence – Sound and Atmosphere
As the piece evolves, it explores different emotional spaces. There are times when everything feels chaotic, reflecting the confusion of modern life. Then, it shifts into a space that feels more meditative, particularly toward the conclusion. The fleeting moments of clarity bring a sense of awareness that resonates long after the final notes fade.
The production quality impresses, with everything you hear coming from just one room and one pair of hands. Such intimacy enhances the listening experience, providing depth and authenticity. Mixed in 3D binaural audio at 48 kHz and 24-bit resolution, the track invites audiences to fully immerse themselves.
Listeners will appreciate how this song stimulates thought and emotion. It taps into the current societal dialogue about technology and its implications. The blend of various elements constructs an experience that is multifaceted yet coherent.
Crowded Silence – Performance and Production
“Crowded Silence” propels you into a narrative that feels timeless and relevant. The sonic elements suggest a future that challenges your perceptions. With its thoughtful composition, the single exemplifies how music can serve as a mirror reflecting our collective experiences and fears.
The artist’s ability to evoke these feelings through sound stands out. In less than four minutes, you experience an array of sentiments, shifting from unease to awareness. There’s a strong connection to cinematic references, yet it remains original and fresh.
Overall, this music pushes boundaries. It encourages dialogue about the implications of our technological landscape. Each listening experience will reveal something new, ensuring its relevance for a long time to come.
From beginning to end, you are taken on a ride through various sonic terrains. This encourages listeners to return and reevaluate their perspectives repeatedly.
“Crowded Silence” is more than just music; it’s a thought-provoking exploration. It invites you into a space where you can reflect on your world while enjoying the art of sound. The experience is one that resonates deeply, leaving an impact long after the music stops.

Greta Van Fleet Are Teasing Something – Hopefully Their Breakup
Have you noticed it’s been almost three years since Greta Van Fleet’s last studio album? In the time since 2023’s Starcatcher, the polarizing, often irritating, Zeppelin-worshipping rock band has splintered off into a couple of side endeavors: Guitarist Jake Kiszka co-founded the duo Mirador in 2024. Earlier this year, he along with bassist Sam Kiszka and drummer Daniel Wagner all contributed to The Dreamin’ Kind, the latest album from singer-songwriter veteran Langhorne Slim. I’m not sure what frontman Josh Kiszka has been up to lately, but hopefully it hasn’t involved ripping off sacred Indigenous attire. Anyway! Today Greta Van Fleet shared a rare Instagram post indicating that something, potentially a breakup, is afoot.
