English rock supergroup ASIA  have unveiled details of their new studio album, ‘Indigo,’ which will be released on November 6, 2026, via Frontiers Music Srl.

The band have released a video in support of the news. The first track to be taken from the album 
“The Traveller (Into The Light),” available below. The song showcases their signature sound, with powerful choruses and beautiful melodies woven together with intricate keys. It carries a strong message of courage in a disillusioned world. The video captures the band illuminated on stage, intercut with striking images of space travel. You can find the video below.



Founder and keyboardist Geoff Downes commented on the meaning behind the track:

“The first track off the album is a high-power energy piece, with a few elements of prog trickery but retaining the accessible chorus block, which was always a signature of ASIA’s music from the very beginning. Harry and I started working on this as one of the early ideas that seemed to come together very organically. Virgil’s dynamic and innovative drum parts drive the piece along, while John’s soaring guitars keep the momentum. Harry’s vocals are commanding, and my keyboard parts hold the wall of sound together. It’s a song of great optimism, mainly about looking forward to the future and travelling ‘into the light’. Play it loud!”

ASIA return this year with ‘Indigo’, a studio album that is their first in over ten years, since 2014’s Gravitas. The band have gone through changes since their inception in 1981.Now featuring Geoffrey Downes alongside Virgil Donati, John Mitchell, and Harry Whitley.




Geoff Downes  continues by describing how the album came out.

“The initial writing period began in 2015, following the release of our previous album ‘Gravitas’ in 2014. John Wetton and I started putting our ideas together, aiming to get into the studio once more. It was with great sadness that John became seriously ill. During this time, we had put on hold our plans, and sadly, John passed away before we could continue and complete it. So, it was always in my mind that at some point it would be a shame not to finish off some of these songs and finally release them as part of an ASIA album.

“In 2023, when the tribute concert for John took place, I was so encouraged by the response to ASIA’s music that I viewed this as the perfect opportunity to re-establish not only the band, but also to reunite with our long-time supportive label, Frontiers, paving the way for us to get back in the studio”, 

Recorded throughout 2025 and produced by Downes and the band, with mixing and mastering handled by John Mitchell, The album features some final recordings by the late John Wetton “Tattoo Indigo (Parts 2 & 3)” and “Chesapeake Bay”. The album also features special guest appearances from Steve Howe , who contributes acoustic guitar to the evocative “Chesapeake Bay”, and Dream Theater drummer  Mike Portnoy (Dream Theater) on the bonus track “Tattoo Indigo (Part 3).”

Youngstown, Ohio, metal act Inherently Lost released the title track to their upcoming album "Art of Corruption" back in 2025. The track reflects on humanity's descent into moral decay and, through lyrics and the song's music video, explores themes of a dystopian apocalypse.

The track begins with an ominous cathedral organ before quickly introducing dark, sludgy guitar chugs that remind me of Black Sabbath-esque doom metal, while slamming drums add percussion. Female vocals are introduced into the fray, taking on a lullaby-like softness while eccentric, spanning vocal melodies soar above the mix. Suddenly, male growls join the song, adding a tasteful contrast between soft and extreme vocals.

To me, the strongest genre influences I hear in "Art of Corruption" are atmospheric black metal and doom metal. The evolving soundscapes, raw vocal intensity, and slowed, grooving riffs create a dramatic and impactful sound. The music video places the band outside in a snow-filled forest as the view cuts between members of the band, as massive skulls lie in the environment behind them. At 5 and a half minutes, "Art of Corruption" creates a vibe and sticks to it, keeping a constant level of energy from start to finish.

We don’t know if they were inspired by the recent “Revivalcore” nostalgia for early ’00s metalcore, but the, ahem, core—guitarists Dave Buschemeyer and Trevor Dykstra—of Canadian blackened metalcore outfit Spread the Disease have reunited on a new full-length, The Darkness, the Dread, the Suffering.  The pair brought in current Fistula vocalist Shane Post and enlisted the services of Ryan McInturff (ex-Killwhitneydead) to play bass on their first record in 27 years. Buschemeyer and Dykstra, who have both been in many other acts in the intervening years, haven’t forgotten the metalcore methodology on their blistering new effort and Post’s rage-filled rasps provide the essential hardcore foil to the black metal-inspired riffing. 

The Darkness, the Dread, the Suffering was recorded and mixed at Bravo Studios by Buschemeyer and mastered by Greg Dawson at BWC Studios. It’s set for release on vinyl, CD and digitally via Hypaethral Records on July 10. Place your preorder here (Hypaethral web shop) or here (Bandcamp).

Buschemeyer had this to say about the new album:

“Since Trev and I had remained friends after all these years and had both been a part of the short-lived New Day Rising reunion, where we recorded a bunch of new songs, the idea was floated around to potentially do a new Spread the Disease recording. As the two main songwriters, we knew that we could revisit the blackened hardcore style material with some fresh vigor. I had been keeping my chops up with that style of music with Die In The Light and Trev had been playing in multiple projects on his own as well.

“The songs came together relatively easily, but it took a long time to come to fruition. This is the reality of being older, with families, careers, etc. You put in the time when you can. In the end, we’re stoked on how they turned out and we’re excited to play them live!”

Holy Wave’s new record i’m DADA arrives this Friday. So far we’ve heard “s33.u.in/HAL” and “dewey’s dirge,” and today the Austin psych rockers are back with the hypnotic title track.

“‘i’m DADA’ is a song about balance,” Kyle Hager says of the song, which features Lorena Quintanilla and Alberto González of Lorelle Meets The Obsolete and J. Zunz on synth arpeggios and feedback guitars. He continues:

I have two amazing children that I strive to spend all my time with. Watching and helping them grow is my life’s greatest work. It’s easy for me to feel guilty when the need to focus on myself and my creative endeavors takes over. To be a good parent, I believe one should continue to follow their passions as a form of self-care and a source of balance. In this song, I vent about the pressures of being in demand as a parent and also try to forgive myself for wanting to be more than just “DADA.”
