  • For the First Time Together: ANKOR and MAH (SiM) in ‘DANZO – Lying Ghost’

Spanish alternative metal band ANKOR has released their new single, “DANZO – Lying Ghost”, in collaboration with MAH (SiM), the vocalist of the Japanese band SiM, known for performing “The Rumbling”, the opening theme for the second part of the final season of Attack on Titan. This marks the first time both artists appear together on a single track, creating a unique fusion of styles and energy.

The song was composed by David Romeu, ANKOR’s guitarist and founding member, who also took charge of production and artistic direction, crafting a sound that is intense, melodic, and aggressive. Mixing and mastering were handled by Christoph Wieczorek at Sawdust Recordings, ensuring a polished finish that highlights every detail of the track.

The title “DANZO – Lying Ghost” evokes a dark and mysterious figure, in line with the song’s atmosphere and the official music video, filled with dramatic visuals and an intense aesthetic that reinforces the power of the track.

Musically, the single blends sharp riffs, heavy breakdowns, and MAH’s explosive energy, creating a striking contrast between ANKOR’s European alternative metal and the force of contemporary Japanese metal. Fans from both worlds—metal and anime—have welcomed the release enthusiastically, highlighting the remarkable chemistry between the artists.

  • Saint Agnes Present “The Ghost” and Its Music Video, a Dark and Danceable Preview of Their Upcoming Album

British band Saint Agnes released their new single, “The Ghost”, four days ago, serving as the first preview of their highly anticipated album Your God Fearing Days Are About To Begin, set to be released on May 29, 2026.

Hailing from East London, Saint Agnes have established themselves as one of the most intense and distinctive acts in the current alternative scene. Their sound blends rock, punk, industrial, and a dark, highly theatrical aesthetic, with clear influences from Nine Inch Nails, creating a unique identity both musically and visually. Led by Kitty A. Austen, the band is known for the power of their live performances and an artistic narrative focused on emotions, identity, and personal experiences pushed to the extreme.

With “The Ghost”, the band takes a step toward a more electronic and immersive sound while maintaining their aggressive edge. The track combines hypnotic, pulsating rhythms with a dense atmosphere, almost like a nightclub or rave, creating a physical and emotional experience simultaneously.

The official music video premiered today, March 30, 2026, on YouTube, reinforcing the band’s theatrical and dark visual imagery and complementing the aesthetic intensity that characterizes this new chapter.

According to Saint Agnes, the song stems from a feeling of invisibility and disconnection:

“I often feel like I disappear, that I become invisible in certain situations… with ‘The Ghost’ I imagined dancing, surrounded by people, but feeling completely alone.”

This sensation transforms into a sonic metaphor that combines emotional isolation with collective energy. The band describes the track as “the soundtrack of a hot, sweaty night in a vampire club”, where euphoria and darkness intertwine to the beat of driving rhythms.

  • The Rock Festival Guide for 2026: Which Lineups Actually Put Women Front and Center

Because who headlines matters — and so does who’s buried on page three of the poster. Every spring, the rock festival posters drop, and every spring, a certain pattern emerges: the top of the bill is an almost unbroken wall of men. We scan the small print, hunting for the female-fronted bands we love, and sometimes we find them — and sometimes we don’t. In 2026, though, something is shifting. From one festival making outright history with an all-female-led stage to others quietly stacking their undercard with some of the most exciting women in rock today, there’s genuine reason for optimism. Here’s your guide to which 2026 rock festivals are actually walking the walk, which ones are making progress, and which ones still have work to do. Read Now

  • GoFundMe Started to Help Cover Ringworm Frontman’s Growing Medical Costs

    Ringworm

Man, it’s another week and universal healthcare still isn’t on the books, so we gotta help out another musician going through some hard shit because living in the U.S. is a capitalist hellscape. After all, dwhat kind of “richest country in the world” would we be if GoFundMe is the best option for folks that need medical assistance? Certainly not a country where Ringworm frontman James “Human Furnace” would need to use the aforementioned service to help cover rising medical costs…

“James ‘Human Furnace’ Bulloch is a talented tattoo artist and, as many of you know, the singer for Ringworm and Gluttons. Recently, James had to undergo surgery, which has put his life and career on hold. As a result, he is unable to work at the tattoo shop for at least a month, and it will be several months before he can return to performing with his bands. This sudden change has created a lot of uncertainty and stress, both emotionally and financially.

“During this recovery period, the bills don’t stop coming. Medical expenses are adding up, and without his regular income from tattooing and performing, it’s tough to keep up with everyday living costs. We (Frank and Dwid) started this fundraiser to help ease that burden, so James can focus on healing without the added worry of how to pay for essentials.

“Thanks in advance to everyone who supports James during this challenging time. Every bit of help means the world and brings him one step closer to getting back to doing what he does best—creating art and music for the community.”

Created just two days ago by Hatebreed (and former Ringworm) guitarist Frank Novinec and Integrity vocalist Dwid Hellion, the GoFundMe page initially asked friend and fans to help raise an initial amount of $1,800. By the end of that first day, that amount had jumped up to $5,500 as donations came in. Then yesterday, the amount jumped to $10,000. Today, as of 9:44 a.m., that amount has once again gone up to $15,000.

As of this posting, 169 donations have come in and totaled $10,055. Normally this is where I’d suggest you chip in if you can, but it seems the donations have been paused at this time. So if you were one of the folks that helped out, kudos.
