Everything is Kevin Honold’s Single Out Now
Good Day Noir Family,
Kevin Honold’s “Everything” moves in with a rhythm that carries natural attitude. The tempo is not fast, yet it pulses with enough confidence to make your foot tap without hesitation.Everything is Kevin Honold’s Single Out Now
The groove settles comfortably, and at the same time, it hints that something more layered is about to unfold.
When Honold’s voice enters, the track gains its defining character. His tone is distinct and immediately recognizable. There is a subtle trace of Prince in the phrasing and the expressive delivery; however, Honold’s register sits slightly lower, performing a warmer and more grounded presence. The vocal feels intimate without losing authority.
The arrangement reveals careful craftsmanship. Each instrument has a purpose, and nothing feels accidental. As the song progresses, the chorus opens wider, supported by strings that expand the emotional range. Those orchestral touches add a nostalgic glow while maintaining balance within the mix. The shift into the chorus never feels forced. It grows naturally from the verses, allowing the melody to bloom with understated strength.
A female backing vocal joins during the refrain, and that addition elevates the hook even further. Her voice blends smoothly with Honold’s lead, creating contrast while reinforcing the harmonic depth. This interplay enriches the emotional texture of the song. In addition, it highlights Honold’s confidence as a performer willing to share space to enhance the composition.
The saxophone solo deserves special mention. It arrives at just the right moment, breaking the structure with elegance before guiding the track toward its final stretch. The tone of the sax feels soulful and controlled rather than flashy. The solo acts as a bridge between refinement and release, lifting the energy without overwhelming the arrangement.
Production remains polished yet organic. The rhythm section stays steady, the strings shimmer gently, and the vocals sit prominently in the mix. Furthermore, the song avoids unnecessary excess. It trusts melody and groove, allowing them to carry the weight.
“Everything” stands as a refined and intense piece of work. Kevin Honold blends pop sensibility, subtle funk influence, and sophisticated arrangement into a cohesive statement that feels timeless and contemporary.

Honold’s songwriting is rooted in real world moments of transition and endurance, exploring themes of perseverance, forward motion, and the discipline of giving your full effort to meaningful goals. His recordings are marked by dynamic instrumentation, anthemic builds, and a strong sense of musical narrative designed to translate powerfully to the live stage.
His debut album The Forge, released in June 2025, further established his cinematic, full band approach and growing independent catalog. After writing “Everything” while living in Seattle, Honold has since returned to New Jersey and is preparing a Jersey City based live lineup for upcoming performances.
