Italian Black Metallers Calvana Premiere New Track “Summer Storm” at NoCleanSinging
Italian black metal collective Calvana have unveiled their latest track, “Summer Storm” , exclusively at the heavily trafficked portal NoCleanSinging.com. The song is the second glimpse into the band’s highly anticipated third album, Sub Janus , set for an international release on March 20th via Adirondack Black Mass . Fans can stream “Summer Storm” in full exclusively https://www.nocleansinging.com/2026/02/23/an-ncs-video-premiere-calvana-summer-storm/
Formed in 2015 at the foot of the Calvana massif , Calvana are a band devoted entirely to the raw, monolithic voice of the mountain. Their members remain completely anonymous, allowing the focus to stay on the music and the elemental landscapes it evokes. Their first two releases, the cryptically titled IɅ (2020) and III┼ (2022) , carved a singular path in black metal, combining primal intensity with a defiant, trend-free approach.
With Sub Janus , Calvana strike again, channeling the unrelenting fury of nature through old-school black metal. The album balances cryogenic stillness with lava-like eruption, maintaining an all-analog sound where each instrument is vital—especially the bass, often overlooked in black metal but here grounding the elemental force of the music. The songwriting moves through hypnotic states of violence, interspersed with grim marches, evoking a stark and desolate landscape that feels both expansive and intimate. Fans of obscure, uncompromising black metal may find echoes of Altar of Perversion , but Calvana’s voice remains uniquely their own.
In addition to “Summer Storm” , the band previously shared “Death of Pan” , available https://adirondackblackmass.bandcamp.com/. Sub Janus can also be preordered on Bandcamp, https://adirondackblackmass.bandcamp.com/album/sub-janus
For those seeking black metal that reverberates like the peaks themselves, Calvana’s Sub Janus promises to deliver the kind of elemental, unflinching intensity that only a mountain can inspire.

Louder Than Life returns to the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, Kentucky, September 17-20 for its twelfth year, bringing the largest lineup in the festival’s history and the biggest bill ever put together by Danny Wimmer Presents.
Joining previously announced headliners My Chemical Romance and Iron Maiden, both Tool and Limp Bizkit are now confirmed for four full days of rock and metal at Louder Than Life 2026.
Nearly 200 bands will perform across seven stages, covering the full spectrum of rock. The daily headliners break down as follows:
Thursday, September 17: Iron Maiden, Pantera, Megadeth
Friday, September 18: My Chemical Romance, Pierce The Veil, A Day To Remember
Saturday, September 19: Limp Bizkit, Papa Roach, Sublime
Sunday, September 20: Tool, Gojira, Danny ElfmanSaturday will also spotlight one of the most prominent all-female-fronted stage lineups ever assembled at a major U.S. rock festival. That stage will feature Halestorm, In This Moment, Lindsey Stirling, Orianthi, Icon For Hire, Kami Kehoe and Diamante. A mystery guest band will make its live debut at the festival, and a very special guest — described as one of the biggest heavy bands of the modern era — will be revealed at a later date.
“Last year, we took over Kentucky Kingdom and broke rock festival records. This year, we’re back to deliver the ultimate rock escape,” says Danny Wimmer of DWP. “Louder Than Life is your playground — ride the coasters, catch legendary and emerging bands, enjoy incredible food and bourbon, and dive headfirst into the rock experience you’ve been waiting for. It’s time to let loose and have fun. We’ll see you soon.”
David S. Beck, president and CEO of Kentucky Venues, adds: “Year after year, Louder Than Life raises the bar for what a rock festival can be. Bringing the festival grounds to the heart of the Kentucky Exposition Center last year demonstrated what’s possible when a world-class venue and a visionary festival producer share a commitment to the ultimate fan experience.”
Beyond the music, all passholders will again receive free access to amusement rides inside Kentucky Kingdom, which became part of the festival grounds in 2025 and remains open exclusively to attendees during the event.
Danny Wimmer Presents is also launching the Louder Than Life “Battle For The Big Stage” competition, beginning March 1, 2026. Bands can submit entries through March 31. Fans will vote on who earns a slot at the festival during Sunday episodes of the “Space Zebra Show”, airing at 6:30 p.m. ET / 3:30 p.m. PT on the DWP Twitch channel.
Locals can mark the lineup reveal at the official announcement party on Monday, February 23, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at The Fox Den. Everyone attending will have a chance to win two GA passes.

SEX PISTOLS Featuring FRANK CARTER Announce December 2026 U.K. Tour Celebrating 50 Years Of Punk
A defining force in rock since 1976, Sex Pistols mark 50 years of punk this winter with a run of U.K. and Ireland dates.
Steve Jones, Paul Cook and Glen Matlock are again teaming up with Frank Carter for what’s being billed as one of the most intense live shows in rock right now — as close to the original punk explosion as it gets.
The Anarchy In The U.K. tour hits Dublin’s 3 Arena on December 7, Edinburgh Corn Exchange on December 9, Glasgow O2 Academy on December 10, London Brixton Academy on December 18 and London Eventim Apollo on December 20.
Back in 1976, Sex Pistols ignited what became year zero for punk. Early London gigs at venues like The Marquee, The 100 Club, The Nashville and a residency at the El Paradiso strip club built their reputation before they took the chaos nationwide. By May, they were in the studio recording the first material that would form Never Mind The Bollocks, Here’s The Sex Pistols.
Their June 4 appearance at Manchester’s Lesser Free Trade Hall — and a follow-up show weeks later — pushed future members of Joy Division, New Order, The Smiths, The Fall and Buzzcocks to start their own bands. At September’s 100 Club Punk Special, the Sex Pistols stood at the front of a growing movement. A month later, they signed with EMI and released “Anarchy In The UK”, capturing the frustration of a generation.
Paul Cook looks back on that first year: “It was kind of like a commando raid. I don’t even think a lot of places knew we were playing there. We just turned up and set up. It was all a learning curve for us — getting out there and playing live — we were learning on the job.
“With ‘Anarchy’, I think we tapped into a feeling of unrest around the country at the time. The message was pretty simple — just have a go and get out there and do whatever you want to do. It was a new world.”
Jones, Cook and Matlock returned in 2024 with Carter on vocals, bringing fresh energy to the catalog. “We’ve had a blast. People want to come and see us play live,” says Paul. “If I must say so myself, we are a great live band!”
Throughout 2025, the band played across Australia, Japan and major European festivals, including a high-profile show at London’s Royal Albert Hall for the Teenage Cancer Trust, where Carter sparked a massive circle pit. A return to London’s 100 Club — with Noel Gallagher, Paul Weller and Bobby Gillespie in attendance — confirmed the renewed momentum.
For Steve Jones, the approach remains direct: “If it ain’t fun, I ain’t doing it. I’m too old for bullshit.”
Carter, formerly of Gallows and Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes, joined the lineup in 2024 during a benefit to help save London’s Bush Hall. His intensity onstage quickly earned praise and injected new urgency into the Sex Pistols set.
Tickets go on general sale on Friday, February 27 at 9 a.m.
