As Donald Trump Turns 80, Bob Dylan Shares Pros And Cons Of Being An Octogenarian
Today is Donald Trump’s birthday. He is turning 80 years old and doing some wild and stupid shit to celebrate, which includes turning the White House lawn into a UFC arena. In honor of the President’s birthday, The New York Times reached out to a bunch of incredible individuals who are in their eighth decade or have surpassed it. I was today years old when I found out Gloria Steinem was 92. NINETY-TWO. Amazing. She was on the list, along with Bob Dylan, Liza Minnelli, Robert De Niro, Art Garfunkel, and Dionne Warwick.

Abyssal Booking and Nasty Events in partnership with the Močvara club we are thrilled to announce another incredible night of history!

Necrolsky – Vocals / Keyboards
Igor Podrao – Guitar / Vocals
Cesar Pessoa – Guitar
Morto – Drums
Sarcófago was established in 1985 by Wagner “Antichrist” Lamounier and Geraldo “Incubus” Minelli. They rapidly earned a reputation as one of the most aggressive bands in the South American underground scene. Notably, I.N.R.I. is a cult classic, remarkable for its time and place of creation. However, the lives of these musicians, who shared a city with Sepultura, took different directions. Wagner departed to focus on his academic career at Brazilian universities. For years, there was little news of a reunion or performances of their legendary tracks until Gerald invited a few more enthusiasts to form The Laws. Under the full title: “Gerald Incubus Minelli & The Laws performing Sarcófago,” this ensemble revives the fierce legacy of the iconic Sarcófago, one of the most influential extreme metal bands from the late 1980s. Led by bassist and founder Gerald “Incubus” Minelli, they assemble experienced musicians from the Brazilian metal scene, delivering raw, authentic, and energetically fresh renditions of classics like INRI and The Black Vomit. I.N.R.I. is recognized as one of the most pivotal albums of the early black metal movement, featuring intentionally raw production, a blend of fast thrash and primitive black metal, extreme blast beats, and chaotic lo-fi sound that later became a hallmark of black metal, complete with its iconic cover. Despite limited distribution, the album became a cult classic through tape trading and significantly influenced the second generation of Norwegian black metal.
Bezdan (Black/Thrash Metal, Zagreb/Ludbreg)

Bezdan is back with us! This Croatian black/thrash metal band was founded in 2012, known for their aggressive thrash riffs, dark black metal atmosphere, and raw energy, drawing inspiration from bands like Possessed, Death, and Sepultura. Initially named Desecrator, they adopted the name Bezdan in 2012. Although their discography started slowly, their determination earned them recognition, culminating in the release of their first full-length album, Upon the Altar, in 2025, which garnered significant attention in the metal community. There’s never a dull moment!
Buzzsaw (Black/Thrash Metal, Split)

A rusty saw that never rests! Emerging from the warm, musty basements of Split, Buzzsaw brings a sound as sharp as steel from a defunct shipyard! Formed in 2022, they have released Lead to the Head (2023) under the domestic Black Steel Worship label. Before recording their debut album, they infused their sound with the first wave of black metal, interwoven with thrash metal influences. This is their first visit to us!

Bobby Liebling (Pentagram) & Sonny Vincent (The Limit/Testors) Join The Zach Moonshine Show For An Exclusive Deep Dive Into “Another Drop” – @thebeast
Bobby Liebling (Pentagram) & Sonny Vincent (The Limit/Testors) Join The Zach Moonshine Show For An Exclusive Deep Dive Into “Another Drop”
Metal Devastation Radio recently welcomed two underground rock legends to The Zach Moonshine Show as Bobby Liebling of Pentagram and Sonny Vincent of Testors and The Limit joined us for an exclusive interview discussing their upcoming album, Another Drop , arriving July 31 via Silver Lining Music.
The conversation offered fans a rare look behind the curtain at the creative partnership that has fueled The Limit since its formation in 2020. What began as a collaboration between Pentagram’s iconic frontman Bobby Liebling and legendary punk rocker Sonny Vincent has evolved into a project with its own identity, character, and artistic vision.
Building A Stronger Follow-Up To Caveman Logic
During the interview, Sonny reflected on the challenge of following up the band’s debut album Caveman Logic . Rather than forcing the process, the band focused on creating songs organically while remaining committed to pushing themselves creatively.
According to Sonny, the goal was simple: get to the core of what makes The Limit unique and deliver something even stronger than the debut. After years of recording, refining mixes, and perfecting the final product, both musicians believe they’ve accomplished exactly that.
Bobby echoed that sentiment, praising the songwriting and expressing confidence in the new material.
New Singles And Upcoming Videos
Fans have already gotten a taste of the upcoming album through the release of the title track “Another Drop Of Blood” and the fan-favorite “Part 2, Screw You.”
The pair revealed that a third single is currently being selected and that plans are underway for a more ambitious video production. Rather than relying on traditional performance-based videos, Sonny discussed the desire to create something more conceptual and visually engaging to complement the music.
The conversation even touched on the humorous James Brown-inspired moment featured in the “Part 2, Screw You” video, which has become a favorite among fans.
The Story Behind The Album Artwork
One particularly interesting topic was the album’s striking cover artwork.
Sonny explained that the band intentionally chose not to use AI-generated imagery for the album cover, instead selecting a handcrafted collage created by an artist whose work immediately resonated with the entire team.
While acknowledging AI’s growing role in creative fields, both musicians emphasized the importance of authenticity and consensus when selecting visuals that represent The Limit.
The resulting artwork perfectly captures the surreal, dreamlike atmosphere surrounding the album.
Touring Plans And Wacken Open Air
Exciting news was also shared regarding upcoming live performances.
The Limit will make a major appearance at the legendary Wacken Open Air festival this summer, performing on one of the world’s biggest stages for heavy music fans.
In addition to Wacken, the band is preparing for future touring opportunities, with more extensive live plans currently being discussed.
For fans who have been waiting to see The Limit perform live, the wait appears to be coming to an end.
The Pursuit Of Perfect Sound
One of the most fascinating portions of the interview centered around the vinyl production process for Another Drop .
Sonny revealed that he personally rejected the album’s initial test pressing after extensive listening sessions across multiple audio systems, including a high-end audiophile setup valued at tens of thousands of dollars.
Rather than settling for a release that didn’t meet expectations, the band worked closely with mastering specialists in London to ensure the vinyl version captured the power and depth of the original recordings.
The story highlighted just how much care and attention went into every aspect of the album’s final presentation.
Gear Talk: Vintage Guitars And Classic Tones
Gearheads were treated to a behind-the-scenes look at the equipment used during recording sessions.
Sonny tracked much of the album using a 1969 Gibson Les Paul Black Beauty alongside several other guitars, running through multiple Vox AC30 amplifiers simultaneously to create the layered tones heard throughout the record.
The discussion also drifted into classic vinyl pressings, vintage Led Zeppelin records, and the timeless production techniques that continue to inspire musicians today.
Lyrical Themes And Personal Reflections
Bobby offered insight into several of the album’s lyrical themes, discussing tracks such as “Don’t Say Try,” “Tryptophan,” and the deeply personal “Fall Down, Get Up.”
The latter song became one of the interview’s most powerful moments as both musicians reflected on perseverance, resilience, and overcoming life’s challenges.
Sonny described the track as an emotional journey that many listeners will likely connect with on a personal level, calling it one of the album’s most profound songs.
Not A Side Project
Throughout the conversation, one message became crystal clear: The Limit is not simply a side project.
Both Bobby and Sonny spoke passionately about the band’s importance in their lives and careers. While each remains active with other projects, The Limit has become a serious creative outlet built on collaboration, friendship, and a shared love of authentic rock and roll.
As Sonny put it, The Limit has developed its own personality and identity, standing proudly alongside the other legendary projects associated with its members.
Pentagram’s Busy Year Continues
Bobby also provided an update on Pentagram’s packed schedule.
The band is currently between legs of an extensive U.S. tour and plans to enter the studio this summer to record another new album before heading to Mexico and South America later this year.
With Pentagram continuing to build momentum and The Limit preparing to release another ambitious album, Bobby shows no signs of slowing down.

“I’d only written one song before it. I expected it to be a big hit and it was. Then other things didn’t happen like that”: Admired by half the Beatles, Rick Wakeman and Pat Metheny, Rod Argent still didn’t have it all easy
Founding member of The Zombies and Argent had no trouble writing songs that have endured for decades, and easily collaborated with Phil Collins, The Who and many others. But he also encountered his share of troubles in the music industry -
JOURS PÂLES – Résonances
The French band Jours Pâles’ fourth full-length album, Résonances, immediately feels like a continuation of the world Spellbound built on Éclosion, Tensions and Dissolution. The band still moves between melancholic metal, a black metal-tinged sound and the more emotional, open layers of post-black metal, yet the new material comes across as somewhat more direct, personal […] -
Petri Selin Verstas Review
Petri Selin Verstas Review
This single begins with an intriguing groove, characterized by an engaging rhythm that feels rebellious and intense. It inspires musically while evoking a sense of nostalgia. Listening to it is reminiscent of opening a drawer of Polaroid photographs and reliving cherished memories. In this instance, the artist has crafted the song as a tribute to his father—a World War II hero, bassist for a dance band during the 1940s and 50s, and an entrepreneurial spirit operating a one-man advertising company from his cellar workshop. This father represents a significant figure who created many memories and profoundly influenced the artist’s life.

The song is performed in Finnish, a language that possesses a musical quality and intensity that I was surprised by. These elements effectively transmit genuine emotions. The artist delivers a piece that is direct, honest, and sincere. It showcases how he expresses raw emotions through his music without any filters. Each lyric resonates deeply, revealing layers of feeling and history tied to family and personal experience.
From the start, the instrumentation sets a rich foundation. The rhythmic patterns unfold, drawing the listener into a complex emotional landscape. Drums anchor the groove while other instruments complement and expand upon this core. These elements come together, creating an inviting aura that encourages listeners to reflect on their personal stories and connections.
Verstas – Sound and Atmosphere
The musical arrangement complements the lyrical narrative. The artist’s vocals shine within this composition, showcasing his ability to convey heartfelt emotions.
Moments from the past play out through sound, allowing individuals to revisit their own experiences linked to family, love, and loss. This connection between the artist and his father offers a universal appeal while remaining deeply personal.
The artist’s sincerity captures the audience, leading them to reflect on their own relationships. The lyrics may be in Finnish, but the emotions conveyed transcend language barriers.
Verstas – Performance and Production
The emotional journey experienced through this single invites everyone to explore their personal histories. The vibrant energy present in the beginning transitions into a reflective closing, encapsulating the duality of remembrance and hope.
This single represents a heartfelt exploration of heritage, legacy, and the memories that shape us. Every listener can relate as they might find echoes of their stories within the artist’s narrative.
Petri Selin’s work showcases not only his artistry but also the timelessness of familial bonds that live on through music.

potsherds Tomorrow Review
potsherds Tomorrow Review
The song begins with an inviting drum rhythm. Then, a guitar enters with an intriguing riff that carries an air of mystery. The vocals come in, reminiscent of a voice that might echo the style of the Smashing Pumpkins. Instantly, this track immerses the listener in nostalgic vibes, evoking memories of the 1990s.

The layers of sound increase, enveloping the listener in a rich auditory experience. This careful arrangement keeps the audience engaged, allowing the music to tell a story. The instrumental composition grows in complexity while maintaining an infectious rhythm.
One standout moment is the guitar solo. This segment is enhanced by a unique effect, producing notes that feel almost layered, enriched by a chorus effect. This creative decision adds depth to the sound and ensures the guitar work remains captivating.
After the solo, the song then takes a turn, momentarily stripping back its complexity. This dynamic shift showcases the band’s ability to create tension and release. Throughout the track, a strong emphasis on dynamics maintains the listener’s interest from start to finish. Each moment feels deliberate and considered, ensuring that nothing is superfluous.
Tomorrow – Sound and Atmosphere
The musicians demonstrate their talents with clarity and sophistication. There’s a sense of experienced composition at play here. This alternative rock song resonates deeply, making it an enjoyable listen for fans of the genre.
What stands out is the band’s understanding of their craft. They create not just music but an experience that resonates with listeners. Every section of the song contributes to its overall impact. The transitions are smooth and well-executed, illustrating the band’s skill and attention to detail.
Tomorrow – Performance and Production
“Tomorrow” is a strong entry from this band. Its mix of intrigue, nostalgia, and professional musicianship will appeal to a diverse audience. This track is a worthy addition to any alternative rock playlist and deserves to be heard by a wider audience.
It’s a piece that encourages repeated listening, revealing more with each play. Don’t miss out on the chance to explore this well-crafted tune.
