As of this summer, it has been 40 years since Eric B. and Rakim released their debut single “Eric B. Is President.” That’s the song that introduced Rakim to the world, and his hard-nosed but quietly tricky style instantly made him one of history’s greatest rappers and put him in top-dive discussions for eternity. After a very long absence and a whole lot of nostalgia-circuit touring, Rakim returned with 2024’s G.O.D.’s Network (Reb7rth), his first album in 15 years. Rakim followed it with The Rebirth last year, and now he’s announcing a collaborative album that he made with two other great veteran rappers who adapted their own versions of his unflappable style.

Gore metal pioneers EXHUMED are pleased to announce the second leg of their North American tour this Fall! The Redder Asphalt Tour 2026 will commence on November 7th and run through December 6th. Support will be provided by Jarhead Fertilizer, Savage Master, and Molder.

Bassist Ross Sewage comments, “EXHUMED is firing on all cylinders to get back on the long and grinding road for the sequel to our Red Asphalt North American tour. You thought we did a drive by on your town last tour? Wrong! We were just waiting for the right time to crash the party. Radiohead returned to the stage in late 2025 for the first time in seven years, playing 20 shows broken up into a series of four-night residencies in major European cities. During the promo campaign for his new solo album Blue Morpho, Ed O’Brien mentioned Radiohead’s tentative plans to repeat this method of touring going forward, potentially doing 20 shows a year, visiting a different continent each time, starting in 2027. He’s since hedged a bit, saying 20 shows is more like the maximum number of shows they’d play in a year. But it does seem like the band has plans to hit the road next year.
