  • Finnish Black Thrash Metal Band BEATRIX Releases First Single From Their Upcoming Album ~ Sets Out To Finnish-Estonian Tour With Japanese BARBATOS

    Photographer: Aldis Jordans

BEATRIX is known as a furious and energetic live band in the Finnish underground, playing nightmarish black thrash metal, with skull crushing riffs, haunting melodies and demonic vocals.

After a successful Baltic tour with fellow maniacs JÄVELINand NIGHT SLASHER, a new song has been battle tested and is ready to be unleashed on the bleeding eardrums of the unsuspecting listeners.

The self titled song “BEATRIX” is the first single from the upcoming full length concept album the band has been building on since it’s incarnation in 2019.

It’s about becoming something greater, a praying mantis queen born from human flesh, which also answers the question of where the band’s name comes from.

    01. Beatrix
    Composer: Aapo Härkönen
    Lyrics: Markus Leppänen

Listen to the single on music services (Spotify, Deezer, Tidal, Apple Music, Bandcamp etc.): https://push.fm/fl/beatrix-beatrix

The album will be released next year on Diabolic Might Records. In the meanwhile BEATRIX will join Japan’s BARBATOS on tour for 5 support shows in Finland and Estonia.

    Tour dates & venues:
15.8 Oulu, Finland – Snooker Time

  • Twenty One Pilots Fans Asked To Help With All Points East Show Footage

Heading to see Twenty One Pilots at All Points East later this month? Well, the band want you to help them make their footage even more special.

The band’s creative and content director Mark C. Eshleman has sent out a plea for anyone attending the show at Victoria Park on August 30 to get in touch.

    Here is his message:

Hello. This message is for any Twenty One Pilots fans attending the London gig this month at All Points East.

We will be capturing the show to be released at a later date but we want to add something unique to toss in between a few of the songs during the edit.

I am on the hunt for about 10 fans that I can send both Hi-8 and miniDV cameras to capture a little of their fan life as well as the journey to the show.

It will feel vlog-style but your footage doesn’t have to be very wordy. I am mostly interested in capturing what it feels like to be a fan. You can show off some artwork, what your themed bedroom looks like, an outfit you are making for the show.

Experience with a camera is a plus but we have support on standby to help you land how to create with our cameras.

We will collect your cameras and footage when you arrive on the festival grounds later this month.

To audition, send a self tape to casting@twentyonepilots.film and my producers will get back to you if you have been selected.

Please include your name and age along with a link to your video.

Auditions are due by Saturday 15th, end of day.

What an opportunity! You best start filming.

Twenty One Pilots will be joined at their massive show by Hot Milk, The Meffs, Ray Bull, Headsend, Witch Post, Wunderhorse, REN, BBNO$, PVRIS, Nova TwinsDead Pony, Kid Kapachi, LEAPNOAHFINNCEHoney RevengeRoyal & The SerpentMouth CultureHalf AliveRed LeatherTeen Jesus And The Jean TeasersArtioEmi GraceReece YoungGang of Youths and Jessie Murph.

  • AN NCS PREMIERE: DEATHGRAVE — “HELL IS EVIL”

(written by Islander) By this point the Bay Area grindcore miscreants Deathgrave probably need no introduction to the kind of miscreant listeners who visit our site, but there’s also a chance someone just awoke from a long coma or just recovered from a debilitating mental disease, so we’ll make a quick one. Originally formed in […]

  • Tinashe – “Melatonin”

Oh, Tinashe is going for it. Next month the resurgent dance-pop/R&B cult hero will hit us with her new album Popstar, and early singles “Too Easy” and “Crash Out” are extremely encouraging. Today, Tinashe shares the all-out dancefloor blitz “Melatonin,” which is already my favorite of the Popstar singles. This thing goes so much harder than a song called “Melatonin” should be expected to go.
