History:
Formed in 2017 from the ashes of acclaimed Pacific Northwest metal act Spellcaster, SILVER TALON emerged with a shared mission: keep the heavy metal flame burning bright.
Armed with a virtuosic triple-guitar attack, thunderous rhythm section, and the soaring vocals of Wyatt Howell (Sanctifyre), the band quickly established their sound with 2018 demo tracks “Devil Machine” and “Warrior’s End,” showcasing a potent mix of masterful hooks, lush melody, and technical firepower.
They expanded on that foundation with their self-released debut EP, ‘Becoming A Demon,’ featuring re-recorded demo tracks with producer Zack Ohren (Exmortus, Machine Head), three new originals, and a cover of Sanctuary’s “Battle Angels” with guest guitarist Jeff Loomis (Nevermore, Arch Enemy).
In May 2021, SILVER TALON released their M-Theory Audio debut, ‘Decadence and Decay’ — a masterclass in hook-driven, guitar-fueled heavy metal. Featuring cover art by renowned fantasy artist Gerald Brom and a guest appearance from King Diamond guitarist Andy La Rocque on “Resistance 2029,” the album drew widespread acclaim. Decibel wrote the band “sound absolutely immortal,” while Metal Injection praised their “killer” triple-guitar attack.
The band has since solidified their reputation as torchbearers of triumphant heavy metal with live performances alongside Exmortus, Savage Master, Unleash The Archers, Striker, Powerglove, Hatchet and more.

Up until recently, Local H’s breakout sophomore album As Good As Dead was extremely hard to come by on vinyl, going for upwards of $200 on secondary markets. This year marks As Good As Dead‘s 30th anniversary, so it’s primed for a reissue; earlier this month, the Long Island-based boutique record label Enjoy The Ride announced that they were doing just that. Local H, however, say they had no idea that Enjoy The Ride had plans to reissue As Good As Dead.

Damn. Cherish life while you can, y’all. You could leave this mortal coil too soon. Sadly, Manchester Orchestra drummer Tim Very has just left us at such a young age, having passed away at the age of 42. His cause of death is still pending.
The band shared the following statement last night (Saturday, February 14):
“The entire Manchester Orchestra family has been devastated by the sudden passing of our brother, Timothy Very. The most beloved human being any of us were lucky enough to know in this life. We’ve all been dreading sharing this news as we are all still in absolute disbelief.
“Tim was instantly likable and interacted with everyone he met with kindness and warmth. His laugh was infectious and he immediately made people feel invited and encouraged. His humor and energy were the very foundation that held together the entire MO universe. Strangers quickly became friends and friends became family.
“He had an undeniable light that was only matched by his dedication and love for the craft that he was clearly put on earth to do. No words can ever do him justice. Please know, if you are someone who loved Tim, he loved you too.
“The only thing that Tim loved more than creating music was being with his family. You’d be pressed to find a more joyful dad.
“We love you Tim, thank you for loving us. You are a force of positivity that will be a constant presence in the rest of our days.”
Rest in peace and power, Tim. You and your talent will be missed!
