  • EVERFELT RELEASE DEBUT ALBUM STIRRING TO WAKE

American psychedelic groove metal upstarts EverFelt are preparing to unleash their most immersive statement yet with the release of their new album, Stirring to Wake, which was released on December 15, 2025. Thick with hypnotic riffs, swirling atmospheres, and a dark melodic pull, the album channels the spirit of rock’s ancestors while carving a bold, modern path forward.

Drawing influence from the brooding weight of Tool, the haunting harmonies of Alice In Chains, the doom-laced swagger of Black Sabbath, and the mind-expanding mystique of The DoorsEverFelt deliver a sound that feels both familiar and dangerously fresh. Stirring to Wake doesn’t simply nod to these influences—it absorbs them, reshapes them, and pushes them into deeper, heavier territory.

Formed in the summer of 2022, EverFelt is driven by the haunting vocals and introspective lyricism of Adam Steglich, the expressive and textured guitar work of Corey Robinson, the powerful low-end foundation of Ryan Moore on bass, and the dynamic pulse and color of Danny Furlong on percussion. While their roots span everything from Audioslave and Pink Floyd to Slayer, the band’s identity stands firmly on its own—an intoxicating mix of psychedelic textures, groove-driven heaviness, and melodies that linger long after the final note fades.

With Stirring to WakeEverFelt deepen their commitment to music that resonates beyond the surface. These are songs meant to sink in slowly, blur the edges, and stay with you. It’s an album built not just to be heard, but to be felt—music that crawls under the skin and refuses to let go.

“Music is the cornerstone of our existence,” the band shares. “With Stirring to Wake, we wanted to capture the haze, the heaviness, and the emotion that lives at the core of who we are—and leave a mark on anyone willing to take the journey with us.”

The album was engineered by Shelby Preklas of Loud and Clear Studio, who helped bring clarity, weight, and atmosphere to EverFelt’s evolving sonic vision, striking a balance between raw power and expansive depth.

EverFelt are ready to rise, ready to shake the dust off the underground, and ready to pull listeners fully into the world they’ve been building since day one. Stirring to Wake is not just the next chapter—it’s the moment the band fully comes alive.

    Album: Stirring to Wake

    Artist: EverFelt

    Release Date: December 15, 2025

  • DUTCH PROGRESSIVE GIANTS TEXTURES NEW ALBUM GENOTYPE OUT NOW

Textures have shared their long-awaited new album today, Genotype, alongside a new video for the track ‘Measuring The Heavens’. Coinciding with the album release is Textures’ European tour with progressive metallers Jinjer, kicking off today in Cologne. Speaking on the new video in no uncertain terms, Stef Broks from the band shared –

“A big part of songwriting is to tease the listener to a climax as long possible. In this case, we’re building up tension for 6 minutes to finally kick you in the nuts and leaves you naked in the desert with your calculator still in hand. Measuring The Heavens may not be for mortals.”

Serving as the conceptual counterpart to 2016’s acclaimed Phenotype, Genotype is not a continuation but a rebirth. For nearly a decade, fans speculated about its existence, but what arrives now is not a relic of unfinished ideas – it’s something entirely new, written from scratch and self-produced. Genotype distils the essence of TEXTURES’ DNA into eight new songs, mixed by Forrester Savell (Karnivool, Dead Letter Circus). Lyrically, the album speaks to the unheard – introverts, outsiders, and those navigating internal worlds that often go unseen, standing as an ode to authenticity and resilience.

In Europe, they became a staple at major events such as Hellfest, Wacken Open Air, Graspop Metal Meeting and Brutal Assault. Their electrifying performances cemented their reputation as one of progressive metal’s most unmissable live acts – and now, they are set to reclaim that stage on the upcoming European Tour supporting Jinjer, that runs from January till March 2026.

  • Image of Roads is Ben Heyworth’s Single Out Now

    Good Day Noir Family,
Ben Heyworth’s “Image of Roads” opens with a sly rhythmic pulse that hints at mystery.

Image of Roads is Ben Heyworth’s Single Out Now

The groove moves with a careful, almost teasing gait, and while it feels slightly shadowed, it never signals exactly where the song will land.

Curiosity takes over early. The track doesn’t rush; it takes its time, letting the mood settle before revealing its shape.

As the arrangement develops, the song grows step by step. The verses keep things restrained, holding back melody and harmony with intention. However, when the chorus arrives, the track opens up in a way that feels earned. The harmony expands, yet it avoids easy hooks. That choice works in the song’s favor, because it shows Heyworth’s strong instinct for composition rather than chasing quick impact. Also, the contrast between the reserved refrain and the broader chorus adds depth without breaking cohesion.

Sonically, there’s a clear thread of classic rock running through the track. Still, it doesn’t feel retro for the sake of nostalgia. That influence gives the song weight and character. The atmosphere leans toward the nocturnal, yet there’s also something desert-like in its openness, as if the music stretches into wide, empty spaces. That dual feeling creates tension, which keeps the listener engaged.

What stands out further is how the song occasionally pauses. These moments feel deliberate, almost like signposts marking the start of a new chapter. Then the rhythm returns, slightly altered, pushing the track forward again. Because of this structure, the song seems to exist in its own limbo, suspended between motion and stillness. While many tracks aim for constant momentum, this one finds strength in restraint.

Heyworth’s songwriting shines through subtle decisions rather than flashy gestures. The melody lingers because it quietly stays with you. By the end, the track leaves a clear impression of an artist with real vision and control. For listeners who appreciate songs that reveal themselves gradually, “Image of Roads” offers a rewarding experience and marks Ben Heyworth as a talent well worth following.

    Liminal!

Ben Heyworth has a long history of making music in Manchester, UK. He was the songwriting force behind the hotly tipped band Minorplanet in the early ’00s and then went on to release two beautiful and experimental electronic pop albums under the name “This Morning Call” in 2010 – 2014, released on the Swedish “Substream” indie label. From May 2025, he is excited to be releasing brand new material under his own name – expect acoustic “urban folk”, indie rock bangers, chill-out post-party relaxers and even the odd country song. New music expected throughout 2026/7.

  • Nick and Cristina (Edges) return with ‘One Bad Move’

The post‑punk duo Edges, made up of Nick Ruvalcaba and Cristina Sardón, is back on the scene with a new single titled “One Bad Move”, officially released on January 16, 2026. The song marks another step in the band’s sonic evolution, combining urgent guitars, enveloping synthesizers, hardcore energy, and the vocal duality that defines the project.

Since its beginnings in Los Angeles as Nick’s solo project, Edges has developed a sound that blends post‑punk, shoegaze, darkwave, and hardcore, bringing that energy to Europe since 2019. Cristina’s addition in 2023 enhanced the band’s expressiveness, providing vocals that contrast and complement Nick’s intensity, establishing Edges as a duo capable of balancing emotion and urgency.

In One Bad Move, Edges explore the tension of indecision and the fear that a single mistake can change everything, with a production defined by nervous riffs, subtle electronic textures, and vocal interplay that conveys introspection and drama. The track captures the band’s essence: emotional intensity, dense atmospheres, and a post‑punk and hardcore pulse that never lets up.

“It’s a song about the fear of messing up, about feeling that a single move could change everything. We wanted that to be heard in every chord and every word,” the duo comments about the single.

The single is now available on Bandcamp, Apple Music, and other streaming platforms.

  • Immacolata: The Spoiled and Aux Animaux Join Forces in a Dark Anthem

On January 2, 2026, the darkwave/post‑punk scene received an unexpected gift: The Spoiled, the Italian project led by Giovanni Santolla, and Swedish artist aux animaux (Gözde Düzer) joined forces to release the single “Immacolata”, a collaboration that blends the best of both worlds.

Immacolata fuses the hypnotic nocturnal energy of The Spoiled with the sinister atmosphere of aux animaux. From the very first seconds, the listener is immersed in a dark and enveloping soundscape, where deep basslines, hypnotic synthesizers, and precise percussion merge with dramatic, evocative vocals, creating an unforgettable sonic journey.

The song represents a meeting point between two of the most interesting projects in the European dark scene:

The Spoiled has built a reputation since 2015 by combining post‑punk, darkwave, and industrial elements. Their latest album, Living Ghosts (2025), explored themes of loss, guilt, and introspection, establishing Giovanni Santolla as a unique creative force in the European underground.

Aux Animaux , meanwhile, has stood out with her darkwave and hauntwave work, incorporating synths, theremin, and a visual aesthetic that reflects her commitment to animal rights and sonic experimentation. Singles such as Lost Souls and Night have already demonstrated her ability to create dense, cinematic atmospheres.

The collaboration on Immacolata merges these worlds to deliver a hypnotic and dark track, ideal for fans of industrial post‑punk as well as lovers of modern darkwave. The song has been available since its release on Apple Music, Bandcamp, and other streaming platforms. (music.apple.com)

Both projects also have upcoming concerts you won’t want to miss:

The Spoiled will perform alongside Dark Ways on February 1, 2026, at Tenax, Italy.

Aux Animaux will play in Madrid on February 5, 2026, sharing the stage with Edges and Potochkine at the Vampires Spain Festival.
