  • GRETA VAN FLEET Announces New Album “Palace For The People” & Shares New Single “Saw You Stand”

Greta Van Fleet have released the new single “Saw You Stand”, giving fans another preview of their upcoming album Palace For The People, which is set for release on October 9 through Republic Records.

The new ballad follows the previously released “Play Your Games” and offers another look at the band’s latest material, blending melodic songwriting with the group’s modern take on rock. The album continues to explore themes of humanity, resilience, connection and transcendence.

“As much as it is a Greta Van Fleet record and a rock and roll record at its core, in its heart, it’s a very modern record,” Greta Van Fleet lead guitarist Jake Kiszka says.

Recorded in Tennessee during the spring of 2026, Palace For The People was co-produced by the band alongside Mike Elizondo, whose previous work includes TurnstileEminem and Fiona Apple.

“We love each other just as much as ever, if not more, because we’ve got to spend quality time together off of the road,” Greta Van Fleet lead singer Josh Kiszka shares. “We’ve grown closer, and we have more to say and share than ever.”

Drummer Danny Wagner concludes: “The minute the four of us step into a room with the shared goal of creating, there is very little that can stop us.”

The announcement comes as Greta Van Fleet prepare for a sold-out performance at Chicago’s Metro, marking the beginning of the Palace For The People era with a rare club show after years of headlining arenas.

The album’s title traces back to the band’s sold-out 2022 world tour. While playing London’s Alexandra Palace, the group learned about the venue’s original purpose as “The Palace Of The People,” a public gathering place created for everyone rather than the upper class. That idea became the foundation for the new record.

“I can’t tell you how many people have come up to me and said ‘This is my best friend. We met through your music or at your show,’” explains Greta Van Fleet bassist/keyboardist Sam Kiszka, “and we realized, the music is our palace!”

Inspired by that concept, the band entered a Tennessee studio in the spring of 2026 for a focused writing and recording period. Free from touring, media commitments and other distractions, they revisited unfinished demos while developing new songs, ultimately shaping Palace For The People.

The record follows Starcatcher, released in 2023.

Earlier this year, Greta Van Fleet returned to the stage for a one-night-only show at New York City’s Bowery Ballroom. It marked the band’s first live performance since September 2024. During the break, Sam Kiszka and Danny Wagner contributed to The Dreamin’ Kind, the 2026 album by Langhorne SlimJake Kiszka also appeared in the Bruce Springsteen biopic Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere as a guitarist performing in a New Jersey club. His side project Mirador, formed with Chris Turpin of Ida Mae, also released the EP The Gathering At Badon Hill.

Since emerging from Michigan, Greta Van Fleet have established themselves as one of modern rock’s most successful bands, earning Grammy recognition, platinum-selling releases and worldwide arena tours while continuing to build on their own musical identity.
