Jonny Corralitos gives Who Loves The Sun a relaxed, sun-drenched makeover that feels far removed from a straight revival of the original. The familiar melody floats over an easygoing groove, with warm bass, laid-back drums, keys and pedal steel adding plenty of colour around the acoustic guitar. The vocals have a slightly wistful character, while the harmonies and bright brass bring a playful lift that keeps the track moving. A surf-tinged guitar touch adds another layer to the arrangement, giving the whole thing an almost cinematic West Coast feel. It’s mellow without drifting, nostalgic without sounding overly reverent, and packed with those small instrumental details that make repeated listens worthwhile. Corralitos turns the song into an easy, breezy piece of summer psych-pop with just enough groove to keep the sun setting slowly.

LOUDWIRE FEATURES MATT ZANE IN COVERAGE OF ONGOING STATIC-X LAWSUIT

Metal Devastation PR client Matt Zane has been featured by Loudwire in recent coverage of the ongoing legal dispute surrounding his documentary about Wayne Static and Tera Wray.
The coverage comes as Zane continues to defend his position in a lawsuit involving Static-X. Zane has stated that the case seeks more than $1 million and centers in part on disputed ownership of footage he personally filmed while working with the band.
Zane has also maintained that he never signed a work-for-hire agreement transferring ownership of his footage and that his work involved two separate documentary projects, including his own film about Wayne Static and Tera Wray.
In a recent video update, Zane discussed the case, the footage at issue, and his plans to continue moving forward with the documentary.
