Uprising 9: The Final Band Announcement And More
Uprising 9: The Final Band Announcement And More
With just over a month to go, Uprising adds the final band to an already stacked line up. This year’s Uprising celebrates its tenth anniversary and promises to be an action packed day full of incredible Rock and Metal.
Completing the Uprising 9 line-up is…
The Sun’s Journey Through The Night! The intense creation of a masked frontman, known only as “No One”, has seen him spend over four years crafting his signature style of chaotic and cathartic Black Metal. The Sun’s Journey Through The Night has a back catalogue of three albums, each delving into themes of deep personal trauma, exploring creation, death, the universe, and life beyond humanity. You can expect a vehement performance with a set list spanning the band’s entire back catalogue.
With the full line-up now complete, here’s a reminder of what to expect from the tenth edition of Uprising, taking place at the O2 Academy Leicester on Saturday 23rd May 2026.
The main stage is set to deliver an unforgettable experience. Headlining are the legendary industrial metallers PITCHSHIFTER, performing an exclusive live set in 2026, only at Uprising. Joining them as main support are InMe, the post-grunge powerhouse who burst onto the scene in the early 2000s and remain one of the most sought-after live acts today. Fans can expect a powerful mix of new material and classic favourites. Also taking to the stage are Breed 77, returning after their phenomenal comeback at Uprising 7, armed with a huge arsenal of hits including La Última Hora, The River, Bring On The Rain, and their iconic cover of Zombie. Having wowed audiences before, they’re set to do it all over again. Completing the Total Rock stage bill are TSJTN, Ward XVI, Mayfire, Foul Body Autopsy, and Fractions.
The second stage, branded as the Very Metal Art Stage, equally as stacked, and this year, there are NO CLASHES. Headlining the VMA stage are STAMPIN’ GROUND, legendary titans of the UK heavy music scene. Fusing crushing aggression with razor-sharp melody, their sound is as ferocious as it is unforgettable, expect the very foundations of the O2 Academy to shake. Main support comes from Lawnmower Deth, the iconic thrashers known for their chart-busting cover of Kids in America and the seasonal favourite F U Christmas. Prepare for a wild, high-energy set packed with their trademark stage antics. Also returning are HAWXX, whose live shows are a force of nature: intense, electrifying, and unapologetically fierce. With razor-sharp riffs and commanding vocals, they tackle powerful themes including oppressive beauty standards, violence against women, and feminist resistance. Still want more? Joining them on VMA stage are Gurt, Survivalist, Maatkare, Crowley, Pryma, and Break Them.
