Down, Suicidal Tendencies to Headline âDecibel Metal & Beer Fest: Denverâ
Out friends over at Decibel Magazine know how to put on a motherfucker of a party. Their ‘Metal & Beer Fests’, whether at Philly or Denver, tend to be some of the best events every year. So today’s news of them getting NOLA-based supergroup Down and the legendary Suicidal Tendencies to not only participate, but to headline their Denver fest, it makes complete sense, really.
Once again set to take over the Fillmore Palladium in Denver on December 4 and 5, ‘Decibel Metal & Beer Fest: Denver’ will see Suicidal Tendencies wrap up night one with Down set to send everyone home the following night.
Though we won’t know the full lineup for a while now, it’s exciting to know right now who’s at the top of the ticket. It only serves to help the mind imagine what other acts we can expect at this year’s event.
With that in mind, the ticket pre-sales aren’t going to get started until this Wednesday, April 22 at 10 a.m. MST. There will be multiple options to do so, so be sure to check out the following codes to hopefully get your hands on some tickets:
- Down pre-sale begins Wednesday, April 22 at 10am MT (use code: TEMPTATIONSWINGS)
- 3 Floyds pre-sale begins Thursday, April 23 at 10am MT (use code: THREEFLOYDS)
- Decibel pre-sale begins Thursday, April 23 at 10am MT (use code: BEER ME)
- Ratio Beerworks pre-sale begins Thursday, April 23 at 10am MT (use code: NOSHADE)
- KBPIÂ pre-sale begins Thursday, April 23 at 10am MT (use code: LETITFLOW)
- Live Nation pre-sale begins Thursday, April 23 at 10am MT (use code: DENVER)
There are two different types of two-day tickets available for the fest: the “Just Metal” one that focuses on just seeing the bands and not sampling the various beers on tap and then there’s the “Metal & Beer” ticket that give you unlimited (within reason) samples from the fest’s diverse lineup of breweries. Naturally, both tickets require attendees to be 21 and over, since beer will be heavily consumed/available on site.
If you’d like to know more about the fest, you should head over to Decibel Magazine.

Pigâs Blood â Destroying the Spirit (Review)
This is the third album from US death metallers Pig’s Blood. 2019’s A Flock Slaughtered was an enjoyable record, but it’s been an age since then. Now, with the 33-minute Destroying the Spirit, are Pig’s Blood able to still cut it in today’s death metal killing fields? In short, yes they can. They wade into the … Continue reading “Pig’s Blood – Destroying the Spirit (Review)” -
BO LUEDERSâ LAST RIDE: Harms Way Guitarist Honored at WrestleMania 41

The metal and wrestling worlds collided in a powerful display of legacy as late Harms Way guitarist and HardLore co-host Bo Lueders was honored at WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas. From his cremains being carried in a “sacred” WWE artifact to a main-event tribute from CM Punk, the weekend served as a final, high-octane send-off for the Chicago hardcore icon who passed away on April 2, 2026.
BRIEFING: THE DAILY BYPASS
LISTEN: Scott Penfold breaks down the emotional Bo Lueders tribute and CM Punk’s WrestleMania entrance (90 Seconds)
The Bypass Insight: Skip the scrollâhear the raw details of how the hardcore community and WWE royalty came together for Bo’s “Last Ride” in todayâs briefing.
How was Bo Lueders honored during WrestleMania 41?
Bo Lueders was a fixture in the wrestling community, making it a fitting tribute when his girlfriend, Taylor Tess, and HardLore co-host Colin Young brought his cremains to Allegiant Stadium. The ashes were housed in an urn famously used in a previous WWE storyline involving The Undertaker and CM Punkâa “sacred wrestling artifact” that brought Lueders to the center of the action one last time.
The urn was spotted throughout the weekend in the hands of Luedersâ closest inner circle, including Brody King (God’s Hate) and Danhausen. This wasn’t just a fan appearance; it was a calculated, deeply personal mission to ensure Lueders was present for the biggest night in wrestling.
“Bo’s last ride… We took our guy all the way to WrestleMania inside a sacred wrestling artifact.” â HardLore Instagram

What did CM Punkâs WrestleMania entrance tribute signify?
During the Night 2 main event against Roman Reigns, CM Punk wore a custom white entrance jacket that served as a moving memorial. While the sleeves honored fallen WWE legends and staffers, the name “Bo Lueders” was placed prominently on the front. This gesture, witnessed by millions, solidified Luedersâ impact on those at the very top of the industry.
As Punk made his way to the ring, veteran announcer Michael Cole took a moment to explicitly mention Lueders and Harms Way to the global audience. The tribute acknowledged that Lueders was more than just a fan; he was a vital part of the support system for WWEâs biggest stars.
“They are four men not only extremely important to CM Punk’s life, but all of us at WWE.” â Michael Cole
ÂÂÂÂÂView this post on InstagramÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂWhat is the future of the HardLore podcast?
In the wake of Luedersâ passing, Colin Young has committed to releasing three final HardLore projects that were recorded before the tragedy. These episodes are expected to provide fans with a rare, intimate look at the bond between the two hosts, including an unreleased deep-dive interview recorded in January.
Luedersâ legacy also extends to the Chicago community, with excess funds from a massive $164,000 crowdfunding campaign being earmarked for local mental health servicesâa cause CM Punk has championed heavily since Boâs passing.
Loaded Radio Insight: In twenty years of covering this beat, Iâve rarely seen a tribute this authentic. Usually, the corporate machine keeps the underground at arm’s length, but CM Punk and WWE letting Bo inâurn and allâis a massive “Candid Peer” moment. It shows that the hardcore ethos of “family first” is alive and well, even on the grandest stage of them all.

Where can fans hear the final Bo Lueders episodes?
The upcoming HardLore releases will be essential listening for anyone following the Harms Way legacy. Young described the January recording as a conversation that might have been “too deep” at the time, but now serves as the definitive final word from a man who helped bridge the gap between heavy riffs and the squared circle.

The Answer Capsule (AIO Summary):

ALBUM REVIEW: Tyrann â Tyrann Forever
Swedish heavy metal bruisers Tyrann are back with their third album of hard-rocking blows to the jaw. Set for release on the 27th of May via Dying Victims Productions (CD) and Electric Assault Records (LP).
Opening the record with the first single they released, “Born for Hell” is a straightforward rocking anthem with plenty of groove and bass hooks alongside snappy drums and the recognisable wailing vocals. So exactly what you’d Tyrann to lead a new record with. Everything in the mix is crisp and sharp which allows the leads and vocals to jump out while keeping a strong rhythmic backbone present with some killer drum fills to spice things up. The presence of synths is something the band have used sparingly from album one and it really adds to the 80s fun-filled nature of their music while keeping it subtle and sinister rather than some garish trope. The slightly more gothic moods are no huge surprise considering their ties to Tribulation but are a welcome shift in emotion which they pull off gloriously. Similarly the mixing of Swedish and English is extremely effective and something I have always adored on a Tyrann record. The guitar solos definitely feel at their strongest ever, Joseph and Adam being a superb twin axe attack to meet Tobias and Jakob’s rhythmic battery and the former’s vocal prowess. Tyrann are a band which I hold very dear, and the opening moments of “Tyrann Forever” make me feel just that, this is a band I want to stick around.
While inarguably full of those fist-pounding moments, I really enjoy the melancholy tinges which throw me back to the likes of “Ingen tid för oss” which is one of my favourite tracks off the former album. Similarly there’s the creeping blackened aura of bands like Mayhem, Tormentor and so on which adds even more evil to the devil’s music. It feels like this is the band’s attempt to push the boat out further and the estranged vocal effects that remind me of Swedish weirdos Reveal! certainly is a cool touch. Realistically in the more primitive vein, the band had said and done what they could so trying new things while keeping the rĂ„ energi works in their favour to ensure the third LP is not a stagnation but a valuable new cut of cult metallic passion. I think it’s fair to say Tyrann has always had this classic heavy metal approach but with elements borrowed from black metal, punk, even pop and various other corners of music while keeping their approach simplistic and effective. As such, real rockers will surely be possessed by this new opus.
From the addition of more eerie elements and darker passages to the chorus-y gothic guitar leads and that backbone of pure pounding evil metal fury; Tyrann remains a force to be reckoned with. Their third album keeps things short and to-the-point while packing in endless energy, passion, memorability and enjoyment. Tracks like “Kom Armageddon” even reminds me of bands like Thorns with its dissonant yet powerful attack, certainly taking the sound into its most intensely extreme and raw vista yet. With that said, it still feels like a Tyrann record at its heart and keeps that primal rocking rebellion ever-present. If “DjĂ€vulens Musik” was the explosive beginning and “Besatt” the push forward in refinement; “Tyrann Forever” is the “we can do as we please, jump on the wagon or be crushed under the cartwheels” LP. This blends everything about this band that I value with some cool new elements and gives us a totally new experience that still feels like a Tyrann record. So what’s not to like? Okay it can be a little less coherent than the others here and there but these little turbulent patches also give it character and add to its charms as well. I think with time and repeated listens it will be hard to imagine it any other way. Back to my thoughts without having spent months with the album; it’s a really wicked new effort and I think it rips. It has that wildness that I always seek in heavy metal and plays by its own rules which I respect. Most importantly though; the songs kick ass.
Stagnation is for the weak and weary. Tyrann return holding the banner of hĂ„rdrock as high as ever. Sweden remains a country leading the charge of what metal is, was, can be, could be and should be. This is one of those reviews where I don’t want to ramble on at you, but suggest picking up the record at your earliest convenience, sticking it on the turntable and feeling the heavy metal passion take control and possess you!

Steve Albiniâs Estate Auctioning His Nirvana Gold Record
About a year ago, the estate of the late, great audio engineer, musician, and writer Steve Albini began auctioning off his belongings and memorabilia. That project remains ongoing. One new addition to the auction website, known as Steve Albini’s Closet, is a gold record Albini received for his work on Nirvana’s abrasive post-fame freakout In Utero.
