MEXICO CITY, MEXICO — Taylor Momsen, the powerhouse vocalist for The Pretty Reckless, was hospitalized last night, April 14, following a severe reaction to a venomous spider bite. The incident occurred while the band is currently on the road as the primary support act for AC/DC’s massive 2026 tour leg through Mexico.
“The Show Must Go On”
Despite sharing some harrowing footage from a Mexico City hospital bed, Momsen is maintaining a “rock star” resolve. Taking to social media, she shared images of a spreading rash on her leg—with medical outlines drawn by doctors to track the venom’s progression—alongside a clear message to her fans.
“Hospital today, show tomorrow, poisonous spiders are NO BUENO,” Momsen wrote. “But the show must go on, see you tomorrow Mexico City!”
Further footage showed Momsen being wheeled through the hospital with an ice pack on her head, though her team suggests she was treated quickly and is expected to perform at the band’s upcoming stadium date.
This hospitalization marks the second time Momsen has faced a bizarre wildlife encounter while touring with AC/DC. Fans will recall the viral 2024 incident in Seville, Spain, where a bat attached itself to Momsen’s leg mid-performance, requiring her to undergo a painful series of rabies vaccinations.
TITAN 3.0 DATA DROP: The Mexico City Incident
The Location: Treated at a specialty clinic in Mexico City on April 14, 2026.
The Suspect: While not officially confirmed, local health experts in Mexico highlight the Brown Recluse (Violin Spider) and Black Widow as the primary venomous threats in the region.
The Treatment: Momsen reportedly received an immediate anti-venom injection and is being monitored for potential necrotic ulcers, a common side effect of the Brown Recluse bite.
Status: Still slated to perform tonight in Mexico City.
Fans can grab their 2026 tickets for The Pretty Recklessat this location.
Information Gain: Identifying the Threat
Mexico is home to some of the most potent arachnids in North America. Medical professionals often use the “outline method” seen in Momsen’s video to determine if the bite is systemic. If the redness crosses the drawn line, it indicates the venom is still actively destroying tissue or entering the bloodstream.
The Brown Recluse, in particular, is known for causing “sinking” skin lesions that can take weeks to heal. However, Momsen’s quick arrival at the hospital likely prevented the worst of the symptoms, allowing her to stay on the AC/DC tour circuit.

Austin’s Touch Girl Apple Blossom will release their debut album Graceful in exactly one month, and it’s shaping up to be a good one. Nine Inch Nails and Boys Noize are set to release a collaborative project slap bang between their appearances at Coachella, and more details have been shared of what will be on it.

‘Nine Inch Noize’ serves as a companion to the band’s sensational show-stopping performance in the desert, the first of which took place this past week and the next, and seemingly final one, this coming Saturday (April 18).
The record itself will be released on April 17 and will actually follow the same order as the set, showcasing reworked versions of Nine Inch Nails classics. The project is made up of Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross joining forces with Alex Ridha, as well as Trent’s wife and How To Destroy Angels bandmate Mariqueen Maandig.
Trent has explained a little bit more about how the album came together and how this is all you’re getting from the link-up:
“The creative fulfillment of working on the Challengers and TRON scores with Boys Noize led me to think that including him in the Peel It Back tour could be an interesting way to express NIN in more purely electronic terms live – a concept I’ve wanted to explore for some time. The result was so much fun for us we felt it was worth expanding and formalizing in some way.
On a whim, I mentioned it would be cool to play a whole set as Nine Inch Noize in the Sahara tent at Coachella. Careful what you wish for…the next thing I knew, we were designing a whole new show to present in the way it deserved.
There’s no surprise tour announcement – this Saturday is it. I’m taking Sunday off and excited to be working on new Nine Inch Nails music Monday – I’ll see you when I come up for air.
We recorded this album all over the place – some of it’s live, some in studios, hotels, planes, etc. We had a lot of fun revisiting these songs and hope you enjoy. Listen LOUD.”
So, the tracklisting looks like this:
01. Intro (Nine Inch Noize Version) 02. Vessel (Nine Inch Noize Version) 03. She’s Gone Away (Nine Inch Noize Version) 04. Heresy (Nine Inch Noize Version) 05. Parasite (Nine Inch Noize Version) 06. Copy Of A (Nine Inch Noize Version) 07. Me I’m Not (Nine Inch Noize Version) 08. Closer (Nine Inch Noize Version) 09. The Warning (Nine Inch Noize Version) 10.
