Haze Mage Unleashes Final Album High Fantasy Alongside Last-Ever Live Show
Baltimore, MD – Haze Mage, the Baltimore-based purveyors of sword-and-sorcery doom metal, are set to release their highly anticipated full-length album High Fantasy on April 18, 2026. Coinciding with the album drop, the band will perform their final live show at The Ottobar during their signature Grim Reefer Fest, bringing six years of riff-driven fantasy metal to a triumphant close.
Since forming in late 2015, Haze Mage has forged a distinctive sound steeped in doom, stoner, and hard rock influences, drawing inspiration from legends such as Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, and Iron Maiden. Their music conjures vast dark forests, savage beasts, and haunting mystical realms, earning them a dedicated following in the Baltimore metal scene.
Haze Mage’s debut EP, Blood Mist (2017, Grimoire Records), was praised by outlets like The Obelisk , Worldwide Underground , and Heavy Planet for its atmospheric, psychedelic, and unforgettable sound. Over the years, the band has delivered commanding live performances at Artscape, Days of Darkness Festival (Maryland Death Fest), Shadow Woods Metal Fest, and Light City, while maintaining a strong presence at local venues including Metro Gallery, The Ottobar, Nevermore Hall, and Soundstage.
High Fantasy is an epic 9-track journey that represents the culmination of Haze Mage’s saga. As the band explains, “This album is the culmination of six years of songwriting through an ever-changing world of soaring victories, eternal struggles, and finding support in those around you when you need it most. It’s also about mysteriously magical weed shops and vampiric brains flying out of bodies and terrorizing villages at night.”
Recorded between January and March 2026 at Tiny Castle with producer, mixer, and mastering engineer Noel Mueller, and featuring artwork by John DeCampos/Ghost Bat Illustration, High Fantasy delivers the full Haze Mage experience in both sound and story.
The band lineup for this final chapter includes Kevin Considine (Guitar), Nick Jewett (Guitar), John De Campos (Drums), Scott Brenner (Bass), and Matthew Casella (Vocals). While Haze Mage will be taking an indefinite hiatus after April 18, they plan to continue Grim Reefer Fest, supporting the underground metal community they helped cultivate.
High Fantasy is available for pre-order now on Bandcamp: https://hazemage.bandcamp.com/album/high-fantasy, with the full release arriving April 18th, 2026, alongside their final live performance.

Social Distortion Release New Single “Partners In Crime”
“Partners In Crime” New Album Out May 8th on Epitaph Records
“Partners In Crime”
Second Advance Track From Born To Kill Available Now
New Album Out May 8th on Epitaph Records
. “‘Partners In Crime’ is about finding your voice, especially if you weren’t allowed or if it didn’t matter,” says Social Distortion founder Mike Ness. “And finding comfort in others who share the same sentiment, angst and rage. Strength in unity.”
Set for release May 8 via Epitaph, Born To Kill is more than the conclusion to a 15-year wait between Social Distortion albums, it’s a revelation: 11 songs of pure, unadulterated rock fury, joy and catharsis, all imbued with the signature blend of defiance and world-weariness that has made Ness a poet and sage to the dispossessed for more than 40 years.
Hailed by ROLLING STONE as “still full of piss and vinegar,” Born To Kill wastes no time letting the listener know where its heart is: its hard-charging title track — closing in on 3 million streams in the month since it dropped — paying respects to Lou Reed (“Rock ’n’ Roll Animal gonna come your way!”) and Iggy and the Stooges (“The agenda is yeah to Search and Destroy”) and lionizing David Bowie (“It’s a Rock ’n’ Roll Suicide”) on the newly released “Partners In Crime.” This is a man, a band, and a record that wear their influences proudly while creating timeless anthems and ballads that both chart Social Distortion’s path forward and celebrate its storied past: “Tonight” and “The Way Things Were” are emotionally charged reminiscences in the vein of classics like “Story of My Life” from the band’s eponymous 1990 breakthrough and “I Was Wrong” from 1996’s White Light, White Heat, White Trash, the latter containing a potent distillation of the Social D ethos: “I wrote a song with a stolen riff / If you ain’t got a song you ain’t got shit.”
The track listing for Born To Kill is:
Born To Kill
No Way Out
The Way Things Were
Tonight
Partners In Crime
Crazy Dreamer
Wicked Game
Walk Away (Don’t Look Back)
Never Goin’ Back Again
Don’t Keep Me Hanging On
Over YouCo-produced by Ness and Dave Sardy, and featuring guest appearances from Benmont Tench of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers and Lucinda Williams, and collaborative cover art by Ness and Shepard Fairey, Born To Kill is the latest installment in a remarkable catalog that spans nearly three generations, including Mommy’s Little Monster (1983), Prison Bound (1988), the RIAA gold-certified Social Distortion (1990) and Somewhere Between Heaven and Hell (1992), White Light, White Heat, White Trash (1996), Sex, Love and Rock ’n’ Roll (2004), and Hard Times and Nursery Rhymes (2011).
Social Distortion will support Born To Kill with an extensive North American tour, featuring support from The Descendents and The Chats. The tour kicks off August 25 in Phoenix and plays a total of 25 shows in 22 cities before concluding October 3 in San Diego. Top 10 Toto Songs
Our top 10 Toto Songs list highlights a band that has always proved that virtuosic musicians can indeed write great songs filled with passion and melody. Toto burst onto the music scene in 1978 with an incredible album featuring a killer song titled “Hold The Line.” From that point in time. Toto has continued to release rock records blazing with substance. The band Toto was formed by a group of players who were well-known studio musicians and had performed on many of the 1970s ‘ biggest hits. These were the players who made so many seventies songs come to life.
