Argentine rapper Trueno opened the night. The venue was already decently filled with more and more punters appearing every song. Backed by booming bass and an interesting mix of pre-recorded and live visuals, he delivered a punchy, high-energy performance, occasionally backed by two “hype men”/backing vocalists who did well getting the floor crowd moving. Trueno … Continue reading Gig Review: Gorillaz / Trueno – OVO Hydro, Glasgow (24th March 2026)

During the Thursday’s iHeartRadio Music Awards, TLC, Salt-N-Pepa, and En Vogue performed a medley of hits, and the following day the three groups announced a tour together. But that grand comeback news has been marred by the discovery that TLC’s Chilli donated hundreds of dollars to Donald Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign.
German death/thrash metal band Teeth Of Lamb have released their new album, “Deathward,” via the Wolfsburg-based metal label Kernkraftritter Records. The album was recorded at TOL Headquarter Studios and, like the band’s 2020 debut full-length, was mixed and mastered by Torsten Sauerbrey at Metalsound Studios. It seems unimaginable that we’ve lost yet another musician yet, here we are. And, of course it hurts. Yesterday (Saturday, March 29), Boysetsfire shared on their Instagram that their founding drummer, Matt Krupanski, has sadly passed away. No cause of death has been given.
The band’s statement reads:
“We hate to write this. Today the BSF family lost one of our founding members, our drummer Matt Krupanski.
“Words are failing us. Snapshots of memories skitter through our mind. Picking him up for our first tour from high school which his parents had to give permission to leave early.
“Writing ATE and Rookie in his parents’ basement. Smoking cigars on the beach in North Carolina after playing a very misleading Bed and Breakfast (no bed no breakfast).
“His weird ass drummer gang with Tucker from Thursday, Mike from the Souls and Brandon from Rise Against.
“Abusing Tony Victorys open bar tab in Chicago Our intense madden games which often led to near violence (not even kidding).
“Matt playing guitar in Pussy Tim and the Mother Fuckers; a side project that wasn’t real at what we thought was a sparsely attending festival but when the lights came up there were 25000 people there. There is so much more.
“We are so fucking sorry George. We are so sorry Carla. We are so sorry Marc and Melissa. And our heart breaks for his daughter Georgie. We are so sorry.
“We are gutted. Our hearts are shredded. We lost a brother today.
“We are planning on a fund raiser for Georgie maybe for college or whatever the family decides. Matt you are missed and we love you.

Absolutely gutted for sure. Even though Krupanski left the band in 2012 to pursue architecture and eventually become a Director of Engineering position at Hadley Exhibits Inc. Regardless of him leaving music, his impact will never be forgotten. RIP, Matt.
With the April 17th release of their Decathexis album, on cassette and digital formats, through Apocalyptic Witchcraft growing closer, Australian blackened death metal force, Hebephrenique, have unveiled a new lyric video to accompany the track ‘To Inflict Or Nurture‘. The song burns with a leaping, irrepresible energy, like a mad jester of chaos, its wild power harnessed and directed by some staggering […]
The iconic title of this classic Anthrax track was inspired by an incident where one of the band’s guitar techs almost came a cropper in the midst of a slamming audience and lamented getting “caught in a mosh”. The obvious lyrical approach would be to pen an ode to thrash fans and their boisterous antics but Anthrax’s guitarist/lyricist Scott Ian took a different tack. Caught In A Mosh refers to being stuck in a shit situation at home, work or wherever. It’s an idea that results in some memorable, off-the-wall lyrics (“Your mother made a monster, now get the hell out of my house”).
Musically, the New Yorkers are at their frenetic, violent best with exuberant bass guitar, hurtling drums, crushingly tight rhythm guitars and a positively humongous middle-eight riff. But even in the midst of one of their most mayhem-inducing tracks, Anthrax still make room for a song. The chorus, where Joey Belladonna’s golden melodic vocals alternate with the band’s gang-shouts of the song’s title, is an absolute joy. Caught In A Mosh is a brilliant, exciting, all-time thrash classic. Which one of those words don’t you understand?
