TRiDENT Releases New Single Candle And Announces International CD Edition Of BLUE DAWN
Japanese rock trio TRiDENT has released a new digital single titled “Candle” via JPU Records. The track officially arrived on July 15 for audiences across Europe and North America. Coinciding with this new release, the label also announced the first international CD edition of the band’s latest five track mini album, BLUE DAWN, which is currently available for preorder.
Written as the theme song for a Japanese television drama, the new single showcases an emotionally driven side to the group. Vocalist and guitarist ASAKA penned the lyrics and music to capture the resilience required to navigate adulthood, while Shota Horie handled the arrangement. The accompanying BLUE DAWN mini album expands on this melodic evolution, featuring collaborations with prominent rock musicians like Nob and ROLLY, alongside a powerful interpretation of the classic Studio Ghibli anthem “Country Road.”
Since reforming in 2020, the three piece band has steadily built a massive international audience by blending traditional rock instrumentation with electronic elements to create a massive live sound. Operating with a massive online following of over 26 million YouTube views, TRiDENT continues to expand their global presence. “Candle” introduces an emotionally mature new chapter for the group as they prepare to deliver the physical edition of BLUE DAWN to their dedicated international fanbase.

In This Moment Releases New Single Crawl And Announces Ninth Studio Album WITCH
Heavy alternative band In This Moment has released a new single and accompanying music video titled “Crawl.” The track arrives alongside the official announcement of the group’s ninth full length studio album, WITCH. The new record serves as their label debut for Better Noise Music and is officially scheduled for release later this summer on August 28.
Musically, the new track delivers a heavy, visceral sound anchored by driving guitar riffs and the powerful vocal delivery of frontwoman Maria Brink. Thematically, “Crawl” explores concepts of reckoning and fighting back against abusive power dynamics. This empowering message sets the stage for the overarching concept of WITCH, which focuses heavily on inner transformation, overcoming persecution, and alchemizing personal pain into strength.
Co founded by Brink and guitarist Chris Howorth, the band continues to expand their highly theatrical and melodic sound. The upcoming eleven track opus will feature a variety of notable guest appearances, including Dayseeker on the song “I Want To Believe,” Kim Dracula on “Heretic,” and Kat Von D contributing to a cover of the classic Pink Floyd anthem “Another Brick In The Wall.” “Crawl” follows the earlier release of the album’s first preview track, “Sleeping With The Enemy,” as the band prepares for the full arrival of WITCH this August.

The release of the new material was delayed by the pandemic, recording difficulties and […] -

Canada’s FEQ Gets The Festival Experience Right
If the summer 2026 US concert season has a theme, it’s blue dot fever. Tour cancellations abound, while other shows are way undersold. Theories abound as to why this fever rages, although it goes without saying that concerts are expensive: A Pollstar study found that the average ticket price for the top 100 worldwide tours rose by 37.2% between 2019 and 2025.

Levinia Releases New Single and Music Video The Blank Page
Los Angeles symphonic metal band Levinia has released a new single and accompanying music video titled “The Blank Page.” Produced by Brandon Friesen, the track serves as the fourth and final installment in the group’s current release cycle for the year. This new release directly follows their previous singles “Bite,” “Silver Tongues,” and “The Thorn.”
Musically, the new track marks a dramatic transformation for the group, opening with a slow, fragile atmosphere before erupting into a heavy, crushing chorus. Thematically, “The Blank Page” explores concepts of isolation, creative paralysis, and inner conflict. To capture these ideas visually, the accompanying music video features stark imagery of a lone house in a desolate landscape, utilizing a burnt ruin of a page as a central metaphor for ideas destroyed before inception.
Operating as a cinematic heavy metal unit, Levinia continues to sharpen their dark, atmospheric identity under the guidance of vocalist Kourt Henson. The successful launch of these four recent tracks establishes the band’s most confident era to date. With the current release cycle now complete, the group is already developing new material as they prepare for the next chapter of their career.

SHADES OF BLACK: CALLOUS MASTER, VAITARANA , SKJOLDEN, DEATHISTHEMASTEROFTHEWORLD
(written by Islander) I had to hurry to finish yesterday’s roundup due to excessive partying the night before and excessive sleeping through the next morning. Not having learned anything, I repeated myself last night and this morning, and am paying for it by having to truncate this Sunday roundup. I mean, it wasn’t wild partying. […]
