Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey, one of the most anticipated films of 2026, is out today. The epic tale called for an equally epic cast, which includes Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Zendaya, Lupita Nyong’o, Charlize Theron, Jon Bernthal, and even Travis Scott. Scott is also on the movie’s original soundtrack, which is available today as well. He contributed to the closing track “When I’m Home,” alongside his longtime collaborator James Blake and Oscar-winning composer Ludwig Göransson.

  • Brandon Flowers – “Paradise”

For his first solo album in 11 years, Brandon Flowers went country. The Killers frontman announced Thrasher in June, revealing that he’d decamped to Nashville with producers Shawn Everett and Jonathan Rado, both of whom worked on the most recent Killers records. Not long after, he unveiled the new album’s lead single, “Plans.” Today, he’s released a second advance track.

  • In This Moment Announce New Album ‘Witch,’ Featuring Kat Von D Singing Pink Floyd’s ‘Another Brick In The Wall’

    in-this-moment-2026

In This Moment have announced their ninth studio album, “Witch,” arriving August 28 as their debut release for Better Noise Music. The 11-track record is led by new single “Crawl” and features a genuinely unexpected guest list — Dayseeker, Kim Dracula, and, most strikingly, tattoo artist and musician Kat Von D fronting a full cover of Pink Floyd’s “Another Brick In The Wall.”

    ‘Crawl’ Sets The Tone

The lead single hits with the band’s signature combination of a crushing riff and Maria Brink’s seismic vocal range. Brink described the song as a reckoning: “‘Crawl’ is a reflection that those who dominate and cause pain will ultimately reap what they sow. As above, so below. The fall is inevitable.” Co-founding guitarist Chris Howorth framed it in broader terms, calling it a song about “powerful entities dominating and abusing the weaker and compromised masses” — and, at its core, about fighting back rather than staying silent.

    The Guest List Isn’t Random

Pairing with Kat Von D for a Pink Floyd cover might look like a stunt on paper, but it fits a pattern In This Moment has already established. Their 2023 album “Godmode” featured a cover of Björk’s “Army Of Me” and a collaboration with Ice Nine Kills’ Spencer Charnas, plus a placement on the “John Wick: Chapter 4” soundtrack — the band has made a habit of pulling in unexpected collaborators and reworking songs well outside metal’s usual reference points. “Witch” continues that instinct at a bigger scale: Dayseeker joins on “I Want To Believe,” and Kim Dracula features on “Heretic.”

    What ‘Witch’ Is Actually About

Brink has been explicit about the album’s meaning: “Witch is my declaration of inner transformation. It’s about embracing the duality within — taking pain, persecution, and struggle — and alchemizing them into strength and power.” That framing carries extra weight given the band’s own origin story — when Howorth and Brink first met at an audition in 2004, Howorth initially rejected her from the band because she was a woman, before eventually changing course. Two decades later, Brink fronts a band built entirely around her stage presence, with over 2 billion career streams and a platinum-certified catalog to show for it. An album about reclaiming power, from an artist who had to fight for her place in the room from day one, tracks.

    Bloodstock Bound: Stitched

As Bloodstock gets closer, we delve deep into the line up to find out more about some of the bands playing the New Blood and EMP stages at this years event.

    Today we chat with Stitched

We’re STITCHED, a groove hardcore band from the Black Country. We’re a bunch of mates that somehow turned making angry noise into getting invited to places like Bloodstock.

It’s heavy, groove-driven hardcore with a bit of metalcore, disco and slam thrown in. We grew up on old Slipknot and all that sort of stuff, so it all ends up in the mix somewhere.

We just say yes to everything. We’ll talk to anyone and play anywhere, and every now and then it leads to something really cool like this.

It’s massive for us. Bloodstock’s local, we’ve been coming here for years with our mates watching bands, and now we’re getting to play it ourselves. It’s pretty surreal.

A lot of energy, a lot of noise, and hopefully you’ll hear something you like. We don’t take ourselves too seriously, but we definitely take playing live seriously.

Sunday, on the EMP Stage. Come watch us have a dance and punch your mates in the pit

We’re buzzing to be on the same day as Graphic Nature. Those guys are great, so we’re looking forward to catching their set.

We’re just happy ticking places off as we go. Whether it’s a tiny venue in the middle of nowhere or a country in Europe we definitely didn’t learn about at school, we’re up for it.

Absolutely. If you see us wandering about, come and say hello. We’re always up for a chat.

A good IPA. Probably more than one.

See you there. Come and catch us on the EMP Stage on Sunday.

  • Wood Burnt Red announces debut album, “Hold On Tight”

UK southern rock band Wood Burnt Red will release its debut album, Hold On Tight, on Sept. 4. Produced by Tyler Spicer, the 11-track record will be available on CD, vinyl and digital formats.

The band has also released its latest single, “Fire Me Up,” giving fans another preview of the upcoming album. The track arrived on July 17 alongside an official music video and marks the band’s first co-write with Spicer.

Hold On Tight blends country influences with rock and roll while exploring themes of love, loss, resilience and personal growth across its 11 original songs.

“Fire Me Up” follows the release of the band’s previous single, “Simple Place,” and showcases driving guitar riffs, an anthemic chorus and frontman Tom Franklin’s baritone vocals. The song grew out of the band’s first songwriting collaboration with Spicer, who also produced the album.

“We can’t wait for this track to come out,” says Wood Burnt Red frontman Tom Franklin. “It’s the first song we co-wrote with our incredible producer Tyler Spicer. This collaboration felt like something special from day one. Fire Me Up is a big, heartfelt message to everyone who ever told us we were wasting our time chasing an unrealistic dream. Tyler brought us this idea he had written with us in mind. We instantly loved it, rocked it up, and everything fell into place. The melody and lyrics came naturally. It was one of the easiest songs we have recorded, and we genuinely think it is one of the best.”
