Billy F Gibbons has joined forces with Keith Urban for a brand new single, “Brown Paper Bag.”

The ZZ Top guitarist and vocalist announced the release on social media, introducing the track to fans and revealing that Urban contributes guitar work to the song. Gibbons described Urban as his “good buddy” and highlighted his playing on the new collaboration.

“Brown Paper Bag” delivers plenty of gritty attitude, built around crunchy, fuzz-drenched guitar tones and a driving groove that blends Gibbons’ trademark Texas swagger with Urban’s rock-infused country style. The track showcases both guitarists trading riffs and bringing their distinct approaches together on a hard-hitting blues rock number.

The release marks Gibbons’ latest solo offering following a string of standalone singles in recent years. While no new album has been announced, the arrival of “Brown Paper Bag” has sparked speculation that more new music could be on the way from the legendary guitarist.

Gibbons remains one of the busiest performers in rock music, balancing an active touring schedule with ZZ Top and his solo projects.
