Gig Review: Saor / Cistvaen / Oakenthrone – La Belle Angele, Edinburgh (15th March 2026)
In a city of tartan tourist traps, Saor bring something more sincerely Celtic to the capital. It’s a Sunday night and the kind of wind that can cut through even the toughest battle jacket whirls through the cobbled streets of Edinburgh. This might explain why, when Oakenthrone take to the stage at La Belle Angele, … Continue reading Gig Review: Saor / Cistvaen / Oakenthrone – La Belle Angele, Edinburgh (15th March 2026) -

Ticket Holders For Canceled Byron Bay Bluesfest May Not Be Refunded
Many people are raising eyebrows at the developing news surrounding the last-minute cancellation of Australian music festival Byron Bay Bluesfest. Last Friday, Bluesfest officially announced that it was canceling this year’s event. “Rising production, logistics, insurance and touring costs, combined with a challenging environment for major live events, mean it is no longer possible to deliver the festival to the standard our audiences, artists and partners expect,” they shared on their socials. They added that a liquidator is taking care of the financial collateral damage and that ticket holders will be contacted directly about refunds.

High Parasite (Feat. My Dying Bride’s Aaron Stainthorpe) Release “Drag Me Under”
Earlier today, the totally not an Aaron Stainthorpe side-project “death pop” band High Parasite released a new single titled “Drag Me Under”. As they currently tour the U.K. and Ireland, the band’s bassist Tombs said this new track was originally slated for release in their debut album, 2024’s Forever We Burn.
“We all loved this song when we recorded it for our first album, but it was a little different to the other tracks, with more of a Rammstein kind of vibe. So we decided to hold it back… until this moment. We’ve already started recording our second studio album, we’re looking to the future, so now ‘Drag Me Under’ makes perfect sense, a glimpse into what’s to come.”
As you may have caught in that quote, the band’s currently working on their second album, so there’s a good shot this track will be on it when it finally arrives.
If you’d like to catch High Parasite live, you’re gonna need to do so at any of the dates listed below. Just remember, they’re currently across the pond.
