The Dark We Keep is out now! The Swedish alternative rock group Port Noir has released their highly-anticipated 5th studio album, which is out now via InsideOutMusic.
Since announcing the album in January, the trio has shared a number of breathtaking tracks from the album, which have foreshadowed the musical brilliance of The Dark We Keep.
Today, the band has revealed another glimpse into their audiovisual world with a new music video for “My Destroyer”.
Drummer AW Wiberg comments on the album release:
“After our last album, we took the time to question every part of what Port Noir could be and pushed ourselves further in every direction. We brought everything we’ve learned into these songs and stayed deeply involved in every stage of the process — shaping the arrangements, building the sound and recording the album entirely (almost) on our own terms.
The original plan was to record the whole album ourselves, but during the drum sessions a water leak hit our rehearsal space and forced us to shut everything down and rethink the process completely. Plan B ended up being our good old friend Daniel Bergstrand (Studio 33) behind the drum recordings, which gave the album another layer of weight and intensity. After that, we rented a house and recorded the rest of the instrumentals and vocals ourselves, completely immersed in the world of the album for weeks. Once everything was tracked, we mixed the record ourselves before handing it over to Magnus Lindberg for mastering.The Dark We Keep is the heaviest and most focused Port Noir album we’ve made, while still staying rooted in melody. More than anything, it feels like a natural evolution of everything we, as a band, have been building toward since the start.”

Evanescence have unveiled the music video for ‘Who Will You Follow’, and it’s a stunningly cinematic one.
With the band’s latest album ‘Sanctuary’ set to be released on June 05, it’s another look inside the world these songs exist within.

On Nuclear Tomb‘s upcoming second LP, Epoch Inhumane, you’ll witness society melting and mutating. Transhumanism takes hold in a nuclear aftermath, but what’s human is only so based on organs and flesh, not soul or consciousness. Nuclear Tomb put more thought into their craft than simply stating that society sucks and we should marginally improve it, evident on their new track “Unbowed and Averse,” which we’re premiering today. The Baltimore-based thrash metal group deliver a paradoxically uncanny yet straightforward wrecking ball, yet they are not simply “thrash with weird time signatures.” They’re internally progressive, meaning that their riffs are a tad stickier, their song structures unorthodox, their drums in both present and future tense, and their critiques are penetrating. “Unbowed and Averse” features all of these elements without boasting any of them. In this sense, Nuclear Tomb are as humble as they are technically impressive. Listen closely to “Unbowed and Averse,” and you’ll get it.

The heavy metal “battleship” is back. On May 15, 2026, Five Finger Death Punch officially detonated their brand-new single, “Eye Of The Storm,” marking the first glimpse into the band’s landmark tenth studio album.
Currently being tracked in Los Angeles, the new record serves as a visceral cornerstone for the group’s 20th anniversary. From a “soundtrack” sonic quality to the reclaiming of their independent legacy through re-recorded hits, the Las Vegas juggernauts are moving into their third decade with more aggression than they’ve shown in years.
The wait for new Five Finger Death Punch material has ended with a return to the grit, bite, and aggression of the band’s early era. Having spent three years living with the new tracks, founding guitarist Zoltan Bathory confirmed the band trimmed nearly 30 songs down to a surgical 14 or 15 for the final tracklist.
“The new music has been turning out heavier than anything we’ve done in years, with a cinematic undertone running beneath it,” Bathory commented. He noted that while the record isn’t a concept album, it possesses a “soundtracky vibe” that pushes their signature sound into new territories. Vocalist Ivan Moody’s voice is reportedly sounding “huge” on the tracks, providing the emotional weight to match the band’s instrumental intensity.
To celebrate two decades of music, Five Finger Death Punch is launching a massive 48-city world tour beginning July 20, 2026, in Camden, New Jersey. The tour features a high-velocity lineup including platinum outlaw country star Cody Jinks and rock rising stars Eva Under Fire.
Continuing their legacy of massive charitable outreach, the band has announced a groundbreaking partnership with Team USA. A portion of ticket sales from the 2026 tour will directly benefit high-performance programs for U.S. Olympic and Paralympic athletes as they prepare for the 2028 Los Angeles Games. Bathory has personally selected USA Judo as his beneficiary, while Moody is directing funds toward USA Cycling’s BMX teams.
The lead-up to the new album has been defined by the band’s move to reclaim their catalog. Following the sale of their original masters without their knowledge, the band re-recorded their biggest hits for Best Of – Volume 1 and Volume 2. These releases have already made global history, with “The End” (featuring Babymetal) becoming the first song with Japanese lyrics to reach number one at U.S. rock radio.

Multi-GRAMMY Award-nominated New York Heavy Metal titans Anthrax have announced their long-awaited 12th studio album, Cursum Perficio, set for release on 18 September 2026 via Nuclear Blast Records and Megaforce Records in North America.
The new album marks the band’s first studio release in ten years since 2016’s For All Kings, which debuted in the Top 10 of the Billboard 200. The phrase “Cursum Perficio” is Latin for “My journey has come to an end” or “I complete my journey”, a fitting title for what the band describe as one of their most complete works to date.
Anthrax, Scott Ian, Charlie Benante, Frank Bello, Joey Belladonna and Jonathan Donais, recorded the album at Dave Grohl’s Studio 606 in Los Angeles. Produced by Jay Ruston alongside the band, the album promises the aggressive, fast-paced energy fans have come to expect from Anthrax.
Leading the charge is the first single, It’s For The Kids, a blistering slice of Heavy Metal packed with razor-sharp riffs, explosive drumming and an anthemic chorus designed for the live stage.
Scott Ian said A friend of mine said, It’s For The Kids is a straight-up love letter to your fans. That’s exactly what I wanted it to be.”
Charlie Benante added, “This basically is Anthrax at its best. Fast paced, thrashing, melodic fucking Metal.”
Frank Bello described the new material as the sound of a band still hungrier than ever, while Joey Belladonna praised the single’s “fire and punch”.
The accompanying video for It’s For The Kids also pays tribute to the band’s classic Madhouse era, featuring Anthrax fans prominently throughout the clip.
“It was quite a journey from the inception of this album to its completion,” Scott Ian said. “We were supposed to make this in 2020, but the universe had other plans for everyone.
“After the Pandemic, we got to be a band again. When we started working on the record, we were just happy to be in a room together. It was so exciting that it was like being reborn in a way.
“All of that energy and emotion went into the music. The fear of being forced out of our lives and the joy of coming back together are present. The title, Cursum Perficio, feels like Anthrax. It resembled what we went through to get to the point of finishing the record.”
