Ghost is bringing its latest concert film to cinemas with 2 Big To Rig, a feature built around the band’s sold-out performances at Palacio De Los Deportes in Mexico City. Filmed over two nights in September 2025 on 16mm, the movie captures the closing stretch of the Skeletour world tour before nearly 40,000 fans.

Unlike 2024’s Rite Here Rite Now, the new film puts the spotlight entirely on the live show. Alongside behind-the-scenes footage featuring the crew responsible for the band’s elaborate production, the movie also includes the only professionally filmed material from the phone-free tour, showcasing Papa V Perpetua and the Nameless Ghouls on stage throughout the Mexico City performances.

The title 2 Big To Rig reflects the band’s decision to wrap up the Skeletour in February 2026 after completing 70 shows across North America, Europe, and Mexico. The project was also created to give fans in regions the tour couldn’t reach a chance to experience the production, while also preserving the performances for concertgoers affected when the first of three planned Mexico City dates was canceled due to illness, reducing the run to two shows.

Presented in IMAX where available, the film covers material from all six Ghost studio albums, including tracks from Skeletá, along with fan favorites such as “Mary On A Cross”, “Kiss The Go-Goat” and “The Future Is A Foreign Land”.

2 Big To Rig will open in cinemas and IMAX worldwide on Wednesday, August 26, for a limited engagement. Tickets go on sale Thursday, July 23.

The film arrives after a major year for Ghost. In May 2025, Skeletá debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 after earning 86,000 equivalent album units in its first week in the United States. According to Billboard, 77,000 of those were traditional album sales, with vinyl accounting for more than 44,000 copies. The release also became the first hard rock album to top the Billboard 200 since Ac/Dc‘s Power Up in 2020.

The promotional cycle for Skeletá introduced Papa V Perpetua through the video for “Satanized”, marking the beginning of the character’s role as the frontman for Ghost during the band’s 2025 and 2026 touring activities.

Ghost are set to release a full-length concert film in cinemas and IMAX theatres worldwide from August 26 for a limited run.

Directed by Amir Chamdin, 2 Big to Rig captures the band on 16mm film over the course of their two sold-out shows at Mexico City’s Palacio de los Deportes in September last year.

“[It] creates a nostalgic experience and a fitting farewell to an era for fans,” says Kymberli Frueh of Trafalgar Releasing, who worked with the band on their previous concert film Rite Here Right Now in 2024. “We’re proud to share it with cinema audiences worldwide before Ghost takes a well-publicised break. It’s the perfect way to close such a significant chapter in the band’s history and give fans a chance to relive this moment together.”

Tickets for 2 Big to Rig on sale from July 23 via the movie’s official website.

Shortly after the end of the tour in support of the Skeletá album in February, frontman Tobias Forge announced that he was taking a break from touring.

In an interview with Full Metal Jackie, he explained that he wanted to spend more time with his wife and children and “get some new inspiration” for other musical projects.

“I’ve had two kids waiting at home with my wife for 15 years,” says the singer, who performs onstage as Ghost’s masked leader Papa V Perpetua. “And maybe that says something about me that it wasn’t a pushing enough factor during those years. Believe me, I felt bad, but I’ve definitely come to a point where I feel, physically and mentally, I need to be home. [My kids are] 17; they’re not gonna be around for an eon.”

Kami Kehoe has revealed the details of their new full-length offering, serving as the follow-up to 2024’s ‘REVIVED’.

Titled ‘LOVE IS A WEAPON’, it is set for release on August 28.

Kami had this to say about what the record means to her and where it stemmed from:

“I wrote LOVE IS A WEAPON during a time when I was learning that love isn’t just one thing. It can break you, heal you, protect you, and completely change who you are. Every song comes from a real place in my life, but I hope people hear their own stories in it too. Throughout this album, I wanted to use my experiences, good or bad, and turn them into something beautiful. I truly believe our hearts are the most powerful weapon we have, and it’s up to us how we choose to use it but at the end of the day love always wins. I hope this album reminds everyone that they aren’t alone, and I hope it inspires them to choose love at the end no matter what.”

Kami had this to say add about the song’s themes:

““THE END” is inspired by a ride or die type of relationship. I wrote this when I was with someone who was with me, before I became successful and was willing to stay until the end, no matter how difficult things got. I wanted the song feel like a promise. That I would do everything I said once I had everything to give them. 

I’m so excited for this song to be out, I think it’s a beautiful and real love song for all the ride or die’s out there. This is also one of my favorite songs to play live and I can’t wait to sing it with everyone for these upcoming shows.”
