LØLØ Shares Heartbroken New Track ‘The Punisher’
LØLØ has released a new piece of her upcoming album ‘god forbid a girl spits out her feelings’, and it describes a situation that so many going through the same hurt will relate to.

It’s titled ‘The Punisher’ and details the feeling of watching the person you thought was the one move on right in front of your eyes, and you not turning away. From seeing them kissing on Instagram to seeing their car parked outside their house, it’s a heartbreaking feeling summed up in LØLØ’s poetically personal style.
It’s a slow-burner rather than a pop-punk punch, which shows just how much the story being told still hurts. It also shows that this record is going to be a proper gut-punch, too.
She had this to say about it, explaining, “‘the punisher’ is about that sick twisted ritual we all do after a breakup: stalking your ex on the internet (and their new girlfriend…and her sister…and her sister’s boyfriend…and yes, even the new girlfriend’s sister’s dog) even though you KNOW it’s going to ruin your entire day. I wrote it during a moment where I caught myself doing exactly that. As I continued to piece together my ex’s new life through photos on the internet, I couldn’t understand why I felt addicted to punishing myself. It was almost like some part of me weirdly enjoyed it, as I found myself looking forward to checking in almost every day, playing his new life out in my head.
“I guess there’s something weirdly fascinating about knowing exactly where to find your sore spot, and pressing on it anyway. Don’t tempt me with a good time!”‘god forbid a girl spits out her feelings’ will be released on April 17 via Fearless Records. It will also feature the previously released ‘007’, which sounds a lot like this.
LØLØ will be heading out on a headline tour throughout the UK to celebrate the record’s release. Here are the dates.MAY

09 – LEEDS The Wardrobe
10- GLASGOW The Garage

Dylan Brady – “Needle Guy”
100 Gecs’ Dylan Brady has flipped semantic satiation on its head with his latest single. “Needle Guy,” the first solo release from Brady since 2018, is an unnerving alien romp. Synthetic hi-hats tick away and a robotic frog voice repeats the namesake until gobbledygook. It’s something. Listen to “Need Guy” below.

VESSELES: “HOME”
(We present NCS writer Gonzo’s review of the debut album released in January by the California band Vesseles.) A friend once made an interesting point to me about metal in general: With some exceptions, metal is basically the modern-day equivalent of counterpoint. It’s important to note that this friend wasn’t just spewing uninformed opinions—he’s a […]
