To celebrate the release of 8th album ‘Vindicate’, Black Veil Brides have shared a video for ‘Cut’, starring frontman Andy Biersack’s wife Juliet Simms.

With the record out now via Spinefarm Records, the band have shared a video for the wickedly dramatic ‘Cut’, showcasing all of their glorious symphonic instincts.

Accompanying their collaboration with Lillith Czar, the video is a live-action re-telling of the Tim Burton classic ‘The Corpse Bride’, starring Juliet Simms.

It shows the band performing as Andy sews his partner back together, dancing with her one last time before he loses her forever. For the video, the couple wore their actual wedding attire from a decade ago, and even renewed their vows on set.

Andy Biersack has spoken about the song and its meaning:

“’Cut’ is a song that for me, is one of those songs in your catalog that feels like you were able to achieve exactly what you wanted to achieve when making it. I feel like Lillith’s voice and presence on this song is absolutely perfect. On the lyrical side, just knowing how much the concepts resonate with both me and Lilith makes it all the more special and then to get to shoot this incredible video together it just feels like a career highlight all around. It’s one of my favorite songs we’ve ever done.”

Movements have revealed the details of their 4th full-length album, the follow-up to 2023’s ‘RUCKUS!’.

Titled ‘Happier Now’, it will be released on September 04 via Fearless Records.

On the process of creating their latest album, vocalist Patrick Miranda has shared:

“I think at first we weren’t really sure what the record was going to be… We all had a general idea: We wanted it to bring in the early elements of our sound and blend it with the newer material like RUCKUS! and mesh both of those sounds.”

To celebrate the record’s announcement, the band have treated us to two of the tracks that were born from that goal – ‘Dissolve Me’ and ‘Back In My Ways’.

First up is ‘Dissolve Me’, which was the first song they wrote for this new album.

On that one, Patrick has said:

“Nailing the lead single for an album cycle on the first try is a significant accomplishment. It felt like the perfect culmination of energy, emotion, and growth for us sonically. Like much of the record, this song is introspective, and It’s a sort of confession about my own social behaviors and the challenges I face in navigating even the smallest or most ‘normal’ everyday interactions. Those feelings tend to accumulate and worsen over time, to the point where they can become debilitating. Sometimes it feels like the only remedy would be to slam my head into a wall.”

Then, there’s the moody and melancholic ‘Back In My Ways’, which harks back to the early days of Movements.

The frontman shares:

“‘Back in My Ways’ was a track that I kinda hated at first… I think there was part of me that was hesitant to want to slip back into the ‘sadder’ side of our music. Sometimes the early versions of the songs we write don’t hit right away, but over time it’s become one of my favorite tracks on the record. This song is a slow burn in more ways than one, and it’s really special.”

Can “Michael“ help restore the king of pop’s image? His estate is banking on it.

After hinting that her upcoming 8th album is inspired by rock music, Charli XCX has dropped a single that delivers on that promise.

In the aptly titled ‘Rock Music’, Charli leans into a fresh sound, driven largely by guitars and a propulsive energy. Clocking in at under two-minutes, it’s short and sweet, but if this is a sign of where her next era is headed – we’re in for a good time.

Earlier this year, Charli spoke to journalist Laura Snapes about her latest chapter:

“I think the dance floor is dead, so now we’re making rock music.”

“If I’d made another album that felt more dance-leaning, it would have felt really hard, really sad, but what’s interesting for me is to bend the possibilities of what my perspective on that could be.”

“For me, it’s fun to flip the form. We know there’s gonna be people who are bothered by it, but that’s fine.” 

However, since making those statements she has clarified the following:

“I never said I was making a rock album.”

So, we’re still pretty in the dark about what to expect from this album, but fingers crossed there’s some more of what we’re hearing on ‘Rock Music’.
