  • The BRITs reveal Ozzy Osbourne tribute for this weekend’s awards show

    The BRIT Awards 2026 have announced a double Ozzy Osbourne tribute for their ceremony this weekend.

    The Prince Of Darkness will be honoured with the Lifetime Achievement award, which is ​‘in recognition and celebration of his inimitable impact and influence on music worldwide’. 

    Not only that, but Sharon Osbourne has curated an all-star tribute show for her late husband to close out the whole ceremony at Manchester’s Co-op Live on Saturday, February 28. 

    British pop superstar Robbie Williams is set to lead a performance of No More Tears, with various members of Ozzy’s live band over the years – Adam Wakeman, Robert Trujillo, Tommy Clufetos and Zakk Wylde – backing him.

    “Ozzy Osbourne has been a mighty force in modern music,” says Stacey Tang, Chair of the 2026 BRIT Awards Committee and Co-President of RCA Records at Sony Music UK. ​“Possessing an unmistakable voice and unique presence, he reshaped the sound and spirit of rock, inspiring generations of artists who followed. This Lifetime Achievement Award recognises a remarkable legacy built on originality and enduring influence, that continues to connect with fans worldwide.”

  • All Of The Rock Moments To Look Out For At The BRIT Awards 2026

    The BRIT Awards are taking place in Manchester this weekend (February 28), and there are plenty of things for rock fans to be excited about throughout the ceremony.


    First up, it has been announced that Ozzy Osbourne will be receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award, in recognition of not just his impact and influence on the worlds of rock and metal but on music as a whole, both in the UK and worldwide.

    The posthumous honour will be bolstered by an all-star performance of his 1991 track ‘No More Tears’, delivered by Robbie Williams, Adam Wakeman, Robert Trujillo, Tommy Clufetos and Zakk Wylde.

    Stacey Tang, Chair of the 2026 BRIT Awards Committee and Co-President of RCA Records at Sony Music UK, had this to say about the award, stating, “Ozzy Osbourne has been a mighty force in modern music.     Additionally, Wolf Alice will be performing at the ceremony. The band are up for three awards throughout the night. There is Album Of The Year for ‘The Clearing’ along with Dave’s ‘The Boy Who Played The Harp’, Lily Allen’s ‘West End Girl’, Olivia Dean’s ‘The Art of Loving’ and Sam Fender’s ‘People Watching’.

    They are also up for Best Rock/Alternative Act with Blood Orange, Lola Young, Sam Fender and Wet Leg, and Group Of The Year, facing off against Sleep Token, The Last Dinner Party, Pulp and Wet Leg.



    As mentioned, Sleep Token are representing rock and metal in Group Of The Year, as are Turnstile in International Group Of The Year. They are up against Geese, Haim, Huntr/x, Ejae / Audrey Nuna/ Rei Ami and Tame Impala.


    The BRIT Awards are taking place at Manchester Co-op Live and will be shown on ITV1, ITVX and STV (in Scotland) from 8:15pm.

  • “Perched on the Edge” — Armchair Experts in Synth Groove NOVABLOOD Reign in Video for “Fake It”

    There is something perversely satisfying about watching a band set up shop in a crumbling house like they’ve just inherited it from a disgraced aristocrat who left behind only dust and a decent armchair. NOVABLOOD’s video for Fake It plants the Carlisle, UK crew squarely in that kind of ruin, director Dominic Barnes letting the plaster peel and the light slant while the band claims the space with the calm authority of people who know the roof might cave in but still have rehearsal at 6:00 PM.

    The song itself moves like it was caught mid-stride and told to keep on truckin’. Built from a single synth line that kicks the whole thing into motion, it carries that locked-in, don’t-overthink-it immediacy. “It was literally completed within 24 hours and one of many tracks which pinpoint the essence of the album,” says the band. “Raw, stripped, big attitude, and Paul’s guitar just brings it all together.” You can hear that 24-hour clock ticking in the track’s bones, the rhythm section holding steady while guitar and synth circle each other like wary dance partners who’ve decided tension is more interesting.

    Visually, the abandoned house becomes a pressure chamber for all that internal moral wrestling. The lyrics chew on guilt and desire, on being perched between right and wrong, and the band play it with a straight face that borders on sly. Mark Zowie delivers the vocal cool and collected, stretched out over a bassline that struts with a wink. There’s a faint echo of Beck’s Midnite Vultures in that groove, the kind of sideways funk that smirks while keeping its collar buttoned.

    Barnes frames them as monarchs of the mildly derelict, throned on an old armchair like it’s the last decent seat in the kingdom. Dust motes drift through the air, light cuts across bare walls, and nobody seems particularly interested in tidying up. The house looks like it has stories; the band look like they’ve decided to add one more. It’s a takeover without theatrics, confidence without cartoon villain gestures.

    Fake It arrives ahead of You’re New To This Aren’t You?, out March 27 via Mint 400 Records, and the title alone carries a raised eyebrow. Zowie admits, “It’s difficult not to read that title without it coming over in a condescending manner, which I absolutely love about it.”
