  • Scene Queen Drops Vicious New Track ‘Manicure’

Scene Queen has shared a new track that sees her returning to her chaotic, crushing and cutesy roots.

It’s titled ‘Manicure’, and it tells a tale as old as time, but in a fresh, fierce and fantastical manner. Set against a backdrop of confrontational beats and bludgeoning breakdowns, with Hannah herself pushing her vocals to new levels of guttural, it’s a summation of what it means to not have to put up with lies, deceit and manipulation, be it coming from a bad boy or a, self-imposed, good guy.

It’s everything that Scene Queen is about, and serves as a fork in the road for what the future holds.

She had this to say about the song and where it stemmed from, explaining, “The song ‘Manicure’ is one of many songs from a new era where I really went back to my roots. I got into the studio with as few people as possible and thought “if I could make Bimbocore again, knowing what I know now musically and personally, what would be different?” As much as I love the humor and pop sensibilities of Bimbocore, and plan on keeping those going, I realised I’d make the heavier parts even more jarring and rage-filled. Thus, my angry song for long-nailed divas was born.

“The idea came from a conversation I had in a bar in Nashville months ago with Joey, where the song Goodbye Earl by The Chicks came on, and he challenged me to write it from my metal perspective. So story-wise, it follows a similar idea: if you could save your friend from a terrible man, wouldn’t you? It’s also very self aware in the sense of saying, yes I am beating up a man AGAIN in a song but it’s because they keep doing awful things.”

It’s the first music from Scene Queen in 2026, following on from a series of singles in 2025, those being ‘Platform Shoes’ and ‘L-Shaped Couch’.

    Here is the latter.

She will be hitting the road with Electric Callboy later this year, alongside Polaris. Here are the dates.

  • Magenta share title track from forthcoming new album ‘Tarot’

Magenta have shared a new video for “Tarot,” the title track of their upcoming tenth studio album due on Tigermoth Records on April 10. The trio have also announced two live shows in the south of England – London’s Camden Club on April 25 and Southampton’s The 1865 on April 26.

Watch the video for Tarot here:

“Tarot is the closing track from the album, and also the title track,” says Rob Reed. “It was written towards the end of the making of the album, when we had decided on the concept. I also thought that the album needed a bit of a respite at the end, after five very intense and dense tracks. It features a great vocal performance from Christina and a lovely guitar solo to end the album and hopefully make you want more. There are also two mysterious vocal guests at the end of the track; my fellow Chimpan A sidekick Steve Balsamo, and Cyan/Tiger Moth Tales legend Peter Jones. It’s a treat to hear three of the best vocalists together.”

“We’re doing two intimate shows at the end of April to coincide with the release of the album, which is on April 10. These shows will feature Christina, Chris Fry and myself performing tracks from our back catalogue and new tracks from Tarot. The first half will be acoustic, stripped-backed arrangements and talking about the new album; the second half will have a more electric performance. The evening will open with an acoustic set by Chris Fry performing tracks from his new solo album, along with his brother and Magenta bass player Dan Fry.”

  • Des Rocs Drops “When The Love Is Gone,” Kicks Off North American Headline Tour March 17

Des Rocs Drops "When The Love Is Gone," Kicks Off North American Headline Tour March 17

New York rocker Des Rocs has released "When The Love Is Gone," a hard-hitting new single that pairs arena-sized riffs with the kind of raw emotional exposure that's made him one of rock's most compelling voices — and the track arrives just weeks before his most extensive North American headline run to date.

Built on hard-hitting drums, a driving bassline, and soaring guitar solos, "When The Love Is Gone" channels the swagger of '70s heavy rock without retreating into nostalgia. The song hits with stadium confidence, but its real weight comes from somewhere more exposed — Des Rocs (born Danny Rocco) delivers the lyrics with a directness that lets vulnerability cut straight through the distortion.

"This one's a gut punch," Rocco explained. "It's about losing something that was everything to you. The riffs are aggressive but it's all tied up in these vulnerable moments." He added a point that cuts to the heart of his whole approach: "Sometimes rock music these days can feel so distant. Like it's coming from up on some hill. But when you mix it with real pain and real stories it hits harder than any detuned riff or breakdown on the planet."

"When The Love Is Gone" follows "The Juice," a high-octane release that reaffirmed his knack for no-frills rock, and "This Land" — his Borderlands 4 theme that cracked the Top 20 at rock radio. As Consequence noted, Des Rocs has long chased "the sort of slicked-back, sweaty grit that made parents scared of rock music in the first place," and the new single is a direct continuation of that pursuit. Together, the recent string of tracks form a clear throughline into his forthcoming album, expected in 2026 via Sumerian Records.

The 24-date North American headline tour kicks off March 17 in Atlanta at Terminal West and winds through major markets before closing April 22 at New York's Gramercy Theatre. Stops include Los Angeles, Chicago, Toronto, Denver, Seattle, and San Francisco, among others. For an artist who has previously shared stages with The Rolling Stones, Muse, The Cult, and Bring Me The Horizon, this run marks a significant moment — headlining rooms on his own terms, with a growing catalog to back it up.

Tickets and full tour details are available at desrocs.com.
