Completely Demolished — Caleb Shomo’s Wife Breaks Silence On Divorce After Beartooth Singer Comes Out As Gay

Fleur Shomo has issued an emotionally raw public statement following her husband Caleb Shomo’s public announcement that he is transitioning into a new chapter as a proudly gay man. The massive revelation, which dropped over the weekend on May 23, has sent shockwaves through the heavy music community.
While the Beartooth frontman detailed a grueling, decade-long internal struggle with his identity, his wife of nearly 14 years took to social media to reveal the painful realities of processing the news behind closed doors. Confirming the definitive end of their long-term marriage, Fleur described the profound duality of wanting to protect her best friend while watching her entire life collapse at the exact same time.
“Completely Demolished”: Fleur Shomo Details The Heartbreak Of Loss
The couple tied the knot back in 2012, just as Beartooth was beginning its ascent into an international metalcore powerhouse. Shortly after Caleb Shomo shared his truth with the world, Fleur posted a video of the pair dancing alongside a lengthy, vulnerable statement that explicitly captures the disorientation of the past several months.
Fleur Shomo did not mince words regarding the toll the transition took on her own stability. She explained the immense weight of keeping the secret hidden from public view, confirming that navigating the situation has ultimately shattered their 14-year bond.
“The past few months have been a very disorientating and hurtful time to navigate. For both of us,” Fleur shared. “But I will always want to love, protect and support Caleb. I have cared more about his well being over the years than anything else in the world.”
She continued by detailing the hidden emotional struggle that standard headlines completely miss:
“To see the confusion and pain he went through and the highs and lows and wanting to help but not knowing how… You also ask yourself constantly if you’re a bad person for wondering wtf this means for your world & the anger you also feel. I am the only person that is having to deal with the duality of this situation. To support him whilst losing everything has been incredibly hard to figure out. You can love and support your person through the hardest time in their life, whilst also be completely demolished & lose yourself at the same time.”

Rumors, Rainbow Makeup, and the “Free” Backlash
The public revelation follows a turbulent string of events in early 2026. Speculation regarding Caleb Shomo’s personal life reached a fever pitch following the release of the Beartooth single “Free.” The accompanying music video showcased a dramatic aesthetic makeover for the frontman, featuring vibrant outfits and glitter makeup.
While the track was meant to symbolize a definitive “next chapter” of total self-honesty, the physical transformation provoked a wave of toxic online backlash and thinly veiled homophobic remarks from corners of the internet. The intense social media pressure got so toxic that Caleb Shomo completely deactivated his personal accounts for several months, only returning to the digital landscape in mid-May to clear the air once and for all.
Despite the painful end of their romantic journey, Fleur fiercely defended the authenticity of their past, shutting down any revisionist history from onlookers.
“Our nearly 14yrs of marriage was wonderful and full of so much fun, adventure & love,” Fleur wrote. “Nobody will know anything about our marriage like we do… I already miss it & my husband more than anything. Our story was a good one. And now it’s done. I hope anyone in the world going through this finds hope & courage & I hope the fans can continue to support Caleb.”
Caleb Shomo previously noted that he spent a decade burying his true feelings with heavy alcohol abuse. Getting sober allowed him to unpack his true identity, leading directly to his declaration over the weekend. Beartooth is currently preparing to release their highly anticipated sixth studio album, Pure Ecstasy, this coming August.

Desecresy – The Secret of Death (2026)
Desecresy return with more keyboards and something closer to their original approach, which seems to finely-refined jazz technique applied to ambient death metal, creating a sense of free descent in an ocean cave of ambiguity.
Where the Incantation style bands created subterranean tunneling, Desecresy feels more ambiguous, both cosmic and liquid, since it relies heavily on offbeat rhythm riffing synced to the cadence of the song.
As before, they set up a verse-chorus loop and then redirect it in order to create a sensation of labyrinthine suspension of belief in a fixed reality. This immersive vision expands with the momentum of clash between riffs, conveying a vision of submersion and ascent.

Robert Fripp Still Unclear Why Hospital Shaved His Balls After Heart Attack
