There is no gentle entry point into PARADOX//PREVAILS. The album hits with “False Counsel,” a track that establishes the band’s core identity in seconds.

The guitars roar with an ’80s hard rock backbone, yet the production feels sharp.

Moreover, the hooks land fast, and the rhythm section drives forward with confidence. As a result, the record opens with a sense of urgency rather than nostalgia.

Shortly after, “Play or Die” raises the stakes. The vocal delivery shifts constantly, moving between aggressive phrasing and melodic release. Meanwhile, the structure recalls rap-rock energy, yet the chorus leans toward modern alternative metal. Therefore, the song feels familiar but never predictable. The band understands tension, and they know exactly when to let it explode.

There’s a quiet confidence in the way Goldilocks Zone introduces itself; it feels like a song that trusts patience over spectacle.

Meanwhile, gentle arpeggios and airy keys widen the horizon, and therefore the track starts to breathe before a single word is sung.

Ophelia Moon is a Philadelphia-based musical collective led by Darren O. Moon, the principal songwriter and one of the group’s lead vocalists. Sharing both vocal duties and instrumental composition is Maya Mikity, whose artistry defines much of the band’s sound. 

Their growing catalog features evocative tracks like “Magic and Daffodils,” “Taste Your Rose,” “Banter of Wolves,” “Muse Maestro Melody Maker,” and “Color Me Dead.” 

The song “Memory Fades” stands out with its captivating atmosphere, steady pace, and spot-on performance and production. It’s an enjoyable listen from start to finish, with engaging vocal lines and a well-crafted arrangement.

Big Big Train lead vocalist Alberto Bravin has today released a cover of the seasonal classic ‘Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas’ and made it exclusively available via YouTube.
 
Originally recorded by Judy Garland for the 1944 Christmas musical film Meet Me In St. Louis, the song has since been covered by a variety of artists, most famously Frank Sinatra, Michael Bublé, Christina Aguilera and Sam Smith. Bravin recorded his version of the song at his Green House studio in his home city of Trieste in north eastern Italy during the autumn this year, performing all the instruments himself.
 
The video was filmed by Massimiliano Cernecca at Urban Recording Studios (where Big Big Train recorded their previous studio album ‘The Likes Of Us’) in Trieste.

Alberto Bravin says: “I’ve loved classic Christmas songs since my childhood and in particular I’ve always had a soft spot for ‘Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas’. Once we had finalised everything for the forthcoming Big Big Train album ‘Woodcut’, to clear my head a bit I thought it would be nice to go into Urban and see if I could put my own spin on the song.

“I allowed the influence of some of my favourite bands to shine through and ultimately couldn’t resist making my version a little bit proggy of course. I wanted to release ‘Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas’ simply as a gift to our fans to thank them for all their support this year.”

Big Big Train will issue their next studio album ‘Woodcut’ via InsideOutMusic on 6th February 2026 and will be touring the UK and Europe in September/October 2026.

After four decades, 14 gold records, and having traversed 80 countries and numerous diverse cultures, Sepultura has transcended into one of the most influential metal bands of our time, serving as Brazil’s emissary to the rest of the world.

Sepultura has just announced the final European leg of the band’s “Celebrating Life Through Death” farewell tour. The trek will launch on June 6, 2026, in the Netherlands and will conclude with the previously revealed last-ever European concert on August 9 in Dublin, Ireland.

The acclaimed concert film Queens of the Stone Age: Alive in the Catacombs is now available to stream for free on YouTube, starting today.

Queens of the Stone Age fans around the globe are invited to witness the band’s intimate, powerful performance, set deep within the ancient, atmospheric underground tombs of Paris. Filmed and recorded in July 2024, the band is captured as you’ve never seen or heard them before, with a carefully selected setlist spanning the band’s catalog, each song chosen specifically and epically reimagined in deference to the Catacombs. 

The companion film, directed by Andreas Neumann, Alive in Paris and Before, is also part of this free YouTube release. The intimate behind-the-scenes documentary film reveals the emotional and physical trials Queens of the Stone Age overcame to create Alive in the Catacombs.

Previously, both unique cinematic experiences were available for purchase directly from the band as well as through the Criterion Channel’s streaming platform. The film also had a run of worldwide theatrical screenings in over twenty countries. The Catacombs of Paris are a sprawling 320km (200 miles) ossuary beneath the surface of Paris. With a foundation of several million bodies buried in the 1700s, skeletal remains are largely exposed, with much of the walls built of skulls and bones, “the biggest audience we’ve ever played for,” says Joshua Homme. Homme had dreamt of staging a QOTSA performance there since his first visit nearly 20 years ago. The city of Paris, however, had never granted permission to any artist to play within the sacred tunnels. QOTSA, being law-abiding citizens, waited until their vision was sanctioned.
