  • Balmora Announce Debut Album ‘These Graven Halls’

Balmora are gearing up for its biggest statement yet with the release of their hotly anticipated debut album.

Titled ‘These Graven Halls’ it will be released on May 29 via DAZE. It is the band’s first body of work with vocalist Paul Cole.

The artwork looks a lot like this:

Whilst the tracklisting looks like this, featuring a whole array of special guests:

    1. Balmora
    2. Ammonite ft. DJ PUNCHDRUNK of Empty Shell Casing
    3. Ophelia ft. Brie of Holder
    4. …an apology everlasting…
    5. The Beautiful Writing ft. Hunter of I Promised The World
    6. Inheritance & Solitude
    7. Needles & Rags
    8. The Day You Died
    9. Augustyne ft. Xavier of Upon Stone
    10. …an effigy to the star of all sorrow…
    11. Moon Light Hysteria
    12. Timor Morti
    13. NGV ft. LdPckWntr, LORD THOMPXZON, k420k

And you can check out the first taste of it now in the form of ‘Ophelia’. A dizzying blend of razor-sharp riffs and throat-shredding cries, it is metalcore as it used to be in its most fun and ferocious form. Guttural, emotional and sensationally heavy, it also features an appearance from Brie Percy of Holder, who only adds to the carnage.

Guitarist Jay Torblaa had this to say about the track, stating,“’Ophelia’ is a story of betrayal, heartbreak, revenge, and forgiveness. It’s meant to highlight the nature of initial anger, action, and remorse in a hanging balance system.”

The band are going to be hitting the road HARD over the next few months, as they serve as support for some truly legendary bands. Here are all the dates you can catch them.
