Weezer have just announced a big North American headline tour, intriguingly entitled The Gathering.
Joined by The Shins and Silversun Pickups, the band will hit the road between September 8 (kicking things off at Sacramento’s Golden 1 Center) and October 24 (wrapping up at the Crypto.com Arena in LA), stopping off at 30 more arenas in between. Tickets go on general sale from Friday, April 3 at 10am.
Before then, though, there’s even more Weezer goodness on the way! They’ll be dropping new single Shine Again on April 1 (and it’s very much not an April Fool’s, they stress) from their next studio album. They also add – in all-caps, so they must really mean it – that, “THISISJUSTTHEBEGINNING. THEGATHERINGHAS A WAYOFTRAVELING.”
Check out the tour trailer below, featuring a snippet of Shine Again:

American heavy metal icons, ARMORED SAINT, are back with their anticipated new full-length, Emotion Factory Reset, set for release on May 22nd through Metal Blade Records.
Emotion Factory Reset, the lineup’s ninth studio album since 1984’s March Of The Saint, is a resurrection of sorts, a tearing down and a rebuilding in eleven songs of diverse musicality and lyrical themes. Produced, as were the previous four albums, by bassist Joey Vera and mixed by Jay Ruston (Anthrax, Stone Sour), the record finds the quintet challenging themselves.
Songs like “Close To The Bone,” “Hit A Moonshot,” and “Every Man-Any Man” have ARMORED SAINT honoring their past as one of the most respected and recognizable bands in heavy music while making forward-thinking music rooted in the present.
“Each ARMORED SAINT record, to me, is like a new skin for the band, a different chapter. I don’t think we’ve ever repeated ourselves,” says Vera. “Every album has been pretty different from the previous one, a snapshot in time. In 2026, Emotion Factory Reset is where our heads are at.”
Emotion Factory Reset – Track Listing:
1. Close To The Bone
2. Every Man-Any Man
3. Not On Your Life
4. Hit A Moonshot
5. Buckeye
6. Compromise
7. It’s A Buzzkill
8. Throwing Caution To The Wind
9. Ladders And Slides
10. Bottom Feeder
11. Epilogue
“When we start coming up with songs, I always say we can do whatever we want,” notes vocalist John Bush. “Use all our influences through the years, diverse music that we listen to and love, and let that seep in and bring something new out of us. It leads to something more adventurous.”
Bush, one of music’s most respected vocalists, operates from a place of passion and presence in the studio and on stage. In fact, about 85% of his vocals from the last three ARMORED SAINT records are taken from the demo sessions, capturing the raw power.
While Vera is a granular and detailed writer, like Bush, the bassist says, “I try not to overthink and be right where I’m at that time. I really don’t look over my shoulder much, like, ‘what did I do in the past? What’s going on in the next lane?’ Once the ball starts rolling, I just sit back and let it happen.”
The collaborative nature of Emotion Factory Reset led to the album title, a phrase from guitarist Phil Sandoval. “To me, ‘Emotion Factory Reset’ means to reset yourself back to clarity. Take a pause and breathe before you respond or react. You can’t control outside events, but you can control your mind,” the guitarist says. “How you interpret things is what hurts you, not the event itself.”
His brother, drummer Gonzo notes, “the world is going through a technological upswing/awakening. I look at our planet as the factory and in the most positive way we need to realign, reimagine, reset for our better selves.”
In advance of the record’s release, the band presents the first single and album opener, “Close To The Bone.” Comments Bush, “The first track on the record sounds like vintage ARMORED SAINT, yet vintage that comes out in 2026! How did we do that? The title of the record, Emotion Factory Reset appears as the first line of the bridge. Killer riffs, awesome rhythms and attacking vocals gets this train rolling.”
Bush continues, “the title implies the human response to withdraw and keep things to yourself instead of being confrontational; Something I believe we all struggle with as humans. Do you just say, ‘aww, whatever man,’ or do you say, ‘hey, fuck you!’ Depends on the moment, I guess.”
Adds Vera, “Musically, this song was inspired by my love and appreciation for metal that was coming out around the time of the NWOBHM, which is right when ARMORED SAINT was formed. As always, I try to reimagine my early influences by giving them a slight modern twist.”
Guitarist Jeff Duncan agrees, “I like to think that ARMORED SAINT doesn’t keep making the same album over and over. Emotion Factory Reset is another musical chapter for the band. When the five of us play together, we have a special chemistry and our first single ‘Close To The Bone’ demonstrates this perfectly; it’s musically sophisticated but still retains the ARMORED SAINT signature sound.”

PRESIDENT are back once more with another new track, diving deeper into the beauty and brutality that is coming to define the project.
Titled ‘Mercy’, it’s a track that soars as much as it rips and tears. Brimming with gorgeous melodies, angular chords and throat-shredding refrains, it’s a song that feels absolutely massive in scope and sound. From crystalline to calloused with the flick of the wrist, it dives deeper into the fascinating and fantastical universe which the band is building out day by day.
PRESIDENT had this to say about the track’s sentiment, stating, “Throughout history, religion has been tied to profound division and loss. This song is a reflection on that reality, and a way for me to come to terms with what it means on a human level.”
The track comes hot on the heels of ‘Angel Wings’, which was released last month and sounds a lot like this:
The band are set to head out on a headline tour across the UK next month, and the dates look like this.

From DIY punk to major label almost-stardom, from supporting Kiss and Green Day to being honoured by (and making friends with) Bruce Springsteen, Jesse Malin’s career has been a wild ride
Irish metalcore act Broken Habit have just released their latest EP "Nightshade" on December 12th, 2025.
The EP bursts directly into action with the first track "Reign" introducing itself with slamming guitar chugs and bending notes as explosive drums and low screams create an instantly brutal sound. High guitar lead melodies soon join the fray as vocals shift between low growls and high screams, creating a dynamic sense of contrast. Clear metalcore influences can be heard right off the bat, but I also notice a lot of inspiration from death metal in Broken Habit's music as well. Halfway through "Reign" the band builds into a fierce breakdown as crushing chugging and vocals create a beat that will leave your head bobbing as the tempo continuously slows before ending with a final "bree".
Next is the title track, "Nightshade", which begins with a distorted female vocal sample that creates an eerie atmosphere before catapulting into raw screams and blistering guitar riffage. Broken Habit has a mix that sounds polished and modern but also feels almost nostalgic to 2000s death metal and metalcore acts, creating a sound that balances modern production with a sense of familiarity. "Nighshade" leads into a particularly brutal breakdown with downtempo chugs that remind me of deathcore before jumping back into the chorus featuring anthemic clean vocals and bright guitar harmonies that are contrasted by alternating screams.
"World Eater" begins with ringing guitar feedback as it quickly introduces bright metalcore dueling leads and rapid choppy chugging patterns, creating an upbeat pacing that is met by fast, screamed vocals. The song's chorus features raspy spoken-screamed vocals in a unique style before leading into a bridge that slams into a booming breakdown with an unhinged scream. At just over 5 minutes, "World Eater" is the longest song of the EP, keeping things interesting with 2 seperate breakdowns, the second of which grows more and more intense as eccentric screams create a brutal and off-the-wall sound that reminded me of acts like Paleface Swiss.
"Forevormore" starts with catchy guitar chords and distant singing before launching into a classic metalcore style galloping guitar riff that sets the tone for the track. Explosive screams are backed up by energetic guitar chords as singing and screaming vocals swap back and forth, creating a great sense of variety between the two styles.
The first two tracks, "Reign" and "Nighshade" stood out the most to me and I think that fans of extreme metal genres like death metal, deathcore, and metalcore will certainly enjoy the EP. You can stream Broken Habit's newest EP, "Nightshade" available on all platforms now.
