For a while now, Madonna has been teasingConfessions On A Dance Floor 2 — the sequel to her 2005 album — and buzz around it has only increased since caught her apparently filming a big scale music video earlier this month. Meanwhile William Orbit, the main producer and co-writer of Madonna’s 1998 smash Ray Of Light, says she’s been ignoring his proposals to make a Ray Of Light 2.
Placebo have announced a big old celebration of 30 years of the band with an extensive tour and a special reworked version of their iconic debut.
SO, that album. It’s going to be called ‘Placebo RE:CREATED’ and will be released on June 19 via Elevator Lady Ltd through AWAL.
A totally reworked version of the band’s 1996 debut, they had this to say about what it represents for them:
“We think of this record as a director’s cut. We haven’t recreated it from scratch. We went back to the original master tapes and brought 30 years of playing these songs live back into the record.
“This project was about finally finishing the record, dragging it into the 21st century sonically, while preserving the integrity and the spirit of the original. It’s not about improving it, there’s nothing wrong with it, it’s about completing it.
“When we made the first album, we didn’t yet have the experience or the studio knowledge to fully translate what was in our heads. Over the years, the songs took on a life of their own onstage; they grew, they developed, they kind of completed themselves.
“It’s a celebration of where we began, and a meeting point between who we were then and who we are now. It’s a way of honouring that innocence, while letting the songs exist with the scale, confidence and energy of the band we’ve become.”

And that tour. The band will be making their way through Europe and the UK at the end of the year, with the focus on playing songs from ‘Placebo’ and 1998’s ‘Without You I’m Nothing’. A real return to their roots.

New Orleans thrash metal outfit Exhorder is going through some changes at the moment, as their drummer Sasha Horn has decided to step down from the rock star lifestyle to take stock of his personal life. The move comes just a couple weeks before the band was supposed to head out on tour with Skinlab, but fans that already bought their tickets don’t have to worry — the show will still go on.
In an announcement via social media today, the band both announced Horn’s departure after eight years behind the kit and revealed that God Forbid drummer Corey Pierce would be filling in during the upcoming tour.
“After more than eight years as the drummer for Exhorder, Sasha Horn has decided to step away for the time being from the daily rock lifestyle to focus on his personal life. This decision does not impact our touring plans in any way, as we have been fortunate enough to secure the help of God Forbid legend, Corey Pierce. Corey will join us on the Tour of Unsound Minds this coming month, so we are in good hands! We are excited to jam with Corey, and to bring our live show back to the eastern states for the first time in 2026.”
The tour is set to kick off on April 2 in Morgantown, West Virginia and will come to an end on April 19 in Cadillac, Michigan. Along the way, they’ll hit venues in Albany, New York; Portland, Maine; and Manalapan; New Jersey, just to name a few.
For Horn, the decision to step away was a very personal one.
“After eight and a half years, two albums, and countless touring cycles, it is time for me to permanently step away from my position at Exhorder. All things have come to that split in the path. Best wishes to the guys moving forward.
“As for myself, I am in search of more time with family, continuing education, and a focus on my own personal creative endeavors.
“So much love to all of my fans, you mean the world to me. I shall see you again when I’m back out in it.
“This is not a farewell, this is a time-out.”
In addition to Horn’s exit and Pierce’s selection as the band’s temporary replacement drummer, Exhorder also stated that they were already looking for a permanent replacement. Not only that, but they’re looking forward to getting some writing done for their next release.
“As we have finally completed a two-year touring cycle of Defectum Omnium, our canvas is clear and we are excited about following up with our fifth album’s writing process. The search for a permanent drummer is underway. All of our best to Sasha in his journey, and we thank him for the time, contributions, and sacrifices he made alongside us for all of these years.”

The LA-based artist Kelsey Lu, a classically trained cellist with a tremendous sense of vision, released her debut album Blood back in 2019. Since then, she’s scored a couple of films and collaborated with people like Yves Tumor, Mykki Blanco, and Jamie xx. Now, she’s signed with Dirty Hit, and her new album So Help…
As vocalist Taylor Momsen – who directed the clip alongside Chris Acosta – openly reveals, “l wanted the video to reflect where the song came from – a time in my life when I was out of control, not caring whether I lived or died. We shot it raw, with no grade, no filter. Reality doesn’t come colour-corrected, and I didn’t want to change what we captured. The imperfection is the grade.
“This is where life can take you when you play too close to the edge, chasing substances, sex and dopamine highs to escape depression,” Taylor continues. “It led me down a rabbit hole of self-destruction that leaves you emptier than where you began… with all that being said… enjoy.”
The video features cameos from her former Gossip Girl costars Jessica Szohr and Connor Paolo, as well as Pat Smear and Ilan Rubin (although it must be said, the Foo Fighters chaps’ appearance is more innocent than everything else that happens afterwards).
When I Wake Up is taken from The Pretty Reckless’ new album Dear God, which is due out on June 26. Watch the NSFW video below:
