This is some bullshit. Look, I get that times are hella tough right now, and you gotta do what you to survive sometimes, but why this? If you’re gonna steal, go do it from Target or some corporation with built-in loss prevention to cover the cost of what’s taken, and not from individuals who work feverishly just to make it through the day. While gearing up (no pun intended) to leave for tour in Albuquerque, NM over the weekend (on Saturday, March 14, to be exact), a U-Haul rented by Soulfly was broken into and stage backdrops and personal items were taken from it. Fucked up.

Soulfly rented the trailer and sent it en route in preparation for their run supporting GWAR on their “The Gor Gor Strikes Back Tour,” which kicks off March 19 in Richmond, Virginia. According to the band, ALL of their backdrops were taken, as well as a personal bag belonging to a member of the crew.

Soulfly shared the following on their socials yesterday, March 15:

“Red alert! Someone broke into our U-Haul truck last night in Albuquerque as it was on the way to the Gwar tour. They took all of the Soulfly backdrops and one of our crew’s personal bags. Please if you see anyone or hear of anything suspicious reach out.”

Y’all, stop playing and give Soulfly their shit back. Hopefully, the band will recover everything before they have to officially leave. Fingers crossed.

Success carries its own kind of fear, a subtle unease that whispers it could all disappear in a heartbeat. On Relapse, Hayden McGoogan captures that fragile space with striking clarity. Musically, the track resists drama. Despite McGoogan and his instrumentalists coming from different sonic backgrounds, the track deliberately holds back. The tempo is restrained, almost […]
