 New Single Taken From Upcoming Album, Into The Waves, Out September 25th via Kscope

Maiah Wynne has unveiled the official video for her new single “See The Water,” the latest glimpse of her forthcoming studio album, Into The Waves, due September 25th via Kscope.

Directed and edited by Wynne herself, the video brings the song’s imagery of being hunted, haunted and overwhelmed to life, reflecting a track she originally wrote at just 16 years old.

“I wrote ‘See the Water’ in a handful of minutes when I was 16. I had just been gifted a dulcimer and found my hands quickly dancing around a folky melody in D minor. What came out was the manifestation of my inner critic. That voice inside my head that always told me I wasn’t enough, no matter how hard I tried. I decided to create a character out of her to represent the feeling of being hunted and haunted by that voice everywhere I went. The imagery of water and drowning in those feelings kept coming up and in a moment of quick inspiration, the song came out fully formed and has only changed slightly in the years since. It’s nice to finally have a studio version of it out in the world close to how I always pictured it in my head.” – Maiah Wynne

“See The Water” appears on Wynne’s newly announced album Into The Waves, a deeply personal collection written, self-produced and largely recorded by Wynne during a period of major change. Much of the album took shape while she was on the road, with recordings captured in hotel rooms using a laptop and Wynne performing more than a dozen instruments across the record. The album was completed with mixing and additional production from Justin Abel (Noelle Johnson, The Talbott Brothers) and mastering by Alan Douches (Sufjan Stevens, Motörhead, LCD Soundsystem). Into The Waves also brings together an expansive cast of collaborators, including cellist Bethany Joyce, violinist Avelyn Reynolds, guitarist Brooks Berg, drummers Adam Brzycki and Randy Cooke, flugelhorn player Henry Sheppard, and Rush guitarist Alex Lifeson, further connecting Wynne’s solo work with her role as vocalist in Envy of None. Speaking to Rolling Stone about working with Wynne, Lifeson remarked:

“I’ve never had that kind of inspiration working with another musician.”

WDR Rockpalast has released professionally filmed footage of German guitar legend Uli Jon Roth performing “All Along The Watchtower” at Rock Hard Festival 2026. The song was written by Bob Dylan and became widely known through The Jimi Hendrix Experience.

Uli Jon Roth, also known as Ulrich Roth, was born in Düsseldorf and joined Scorpions as guitarist and songwriter in 1973, remaining with the band until 1978. He eventually left to pursue a solo career and explore different musical directions. Jimi Hendrix and Cream have remained among his key influences throughout his career.

Following his time with Scorpions, Roth continued his work with Electric Sun while also expanding into classical music, composing symphonies and concertos.

Roth’s approach has consistently crossed the boundaries between blues, rock, classical music and metal. His playing influenced a generation of guitarists, including Yngwie Malmsteen and Metallica guitarist Kirk Hammett.

In the early 1980s, Roth developed the Sky-Guitar, a six-octave instrument designed to allow him to play violin compositions in their original register. The instrument helped him become the first guitarist to perform Vivaldi’s “Four Seasons” with an orchestra.

Away from music, Roth has also pursued oil painting and philosophy, adding further dimensions to an already wide-ranging career.

Uli Jon Roth is also confirmed for the 2027 edition of 70000 Tons Of Metal, The Original, The World’s Biggest Heavy Metal Cruise. The festival cruise will depart from Miami, Florida, sailing to Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic, before returning to Miami from January 14 through January 18, 2027.

Sometimes the most unexpected ideas make the most interesting music. sorry to bug you began with a simple musical observation: Parker wrote a song that sounded like a grasshopper bouncing its way through his daily routine. His wife suggested that he write more songs about insects, and from that simple suggestion, an entire musical world took shape.

The result is sorry to bug you, an unconventional and imaginative album that explores the sounds, personalities, and movements of the insect world through Parker’s musical perspective. The album culminates with the ambitious 12-minute “Butterfly Suite,” a fitting opener to a project that refuses to follow conventional musical boundaries.

Raised in a musical family, Parker began performing at a young age and was playing keyboards professionally by the time he was sixteen. Over the years, he has developed a remarkably diverse musical vocabulary encompassing avant-garde, reggae, country, Renaissance, world music, techno, and beyond.

His instrumentation is equally eclectic. While piano remains central to his musical life, Parker has explored an extraordinary range of instruments, including sitar, erhu, hulusi, harmonium, and keyboards, allowing him to move freely between musical traditions and genres.

Parker’s Renaissance duo Arethusa, formed with his son, toured extensively throughout the Northeast and played an important role in shaping his eclectic musical identity. His career has continued to evolve across music, performance, production, and publishing. Today, Parker produces a Renaissance festival, co-publishes a biweekly newspaper, and continues to perform primarily on piano while also pursuing techno-oriented projects.

With sorry to bug you, Parker once again demonstrates that creativity knows no boundaries. A whimsical concept is unique musical exploration, and an invitation to listen, and perhaps pay a little more attention to the fascinating world buzzing, crawling, and fluttering all around us.

“This work had such random origins; it felt like someone else was developing the ideas until I caught myself being less than honest to my imagination when I was working on one of the songs, and literally took it apart.”
