Bruno Mars and Taylor Swift became hugely famous around the same time, and the two of them remain stadium-level megastars many years after most of their peers have faded away. Beyond that, though, Mars and Swift don’t honestly have that much in common. Their styles of pop music are radically dissimilar, and their careers haven’t overlapped much. As the photo above will attest, Swift once handed Mars a VMA and then towered over him while he accepted it, but beyond stuff like that, they’ve moved in different circles. Now that he’s getting ready to mount his own stadium tour, Mars is in the unenviable position of insisting that he did not diss Taylor Swift.

My oh my, time really flies when everything is shitty. Next month marks a whopping 50 years since the Ramones released their debut album. The album—and the band in general—is fuckin legendary, sparking a career that FAR surpasses those damn Hot Topic band tees everyone and their mom was wearing back in the early 2000’s. A new book, titled All Good Cretins Go To Heaven: The Enduring Spirit Of The Ramones, celebrates that legacy, incorporating deep research and history on each Ramones member, as well as including commentary and memories from the band’s many friends and fans.
The book was written by Jenn L. Beckwith, and was a joint publishing effort by DiWulf Publishing (U.S.) and Earth Island Books (U.K.). It’s a 280-page retrospective of sorts, starting with the band’s history, which began in New York in 1974, before going into their influence then and now, highlighting the lasting cultural impact Ramones had on punk and music in general.
A description of the book reads as follows:
“All Good Cretins Go To Heaven” serves as an open love letter to the band from that very fan community. The book features fan-submitted photos, concert stories, artwork, and personal memories alongside interviews with family members and friends who knew the band. It also explores the band’s history, biographies of each member, the roots of rock and roll, the birth of punk, and the cultural meaning of being “punk”.
All Good Cretins Go To Heaven: The Enduring Spirit Of The Ramones will release worldwide on April 23, 2026, just in time to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Ramones’ self-titled debut. I know I’ll be adding this to my book collection, for sure.
Summer just got louder. Avenged Sevenfold, Good Charlotte, and A Day To Remember are set to headline a massive one-off show at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles, CA on August […]

Wayne Static Vocal Feature Approved For Unauthorized Documentary
The unauthorized documentary by filmmaker Matt Zane about late Wayne Static and his wife Tera Wray Static has faced significant resistance since its initial announcement.
Both families have previously voiced strong objections to the project and reportedly served Zane with a cease-and-desist notice in an effort to halt production.
In addition, Wayne’s former bandmates in Static-X and the family have refused permission for the use of unreleased music recordings that Zane claims to have access to for the film.
However, the project has now received approval to include a song featuring Wayne’s vocals by former members of 9ELECTIC, Micah Electric and Mikey Lopez. They have granted Zane permission to feature the track “Destroy As You Go,” originally recorded with Wayne in 2011.
The song features Wayne Static on vocals and is accompanied by a music video showing Micah, his bandmates, Wayne and Tera working together in the studio.
Micah said in a statement:
“I was friends with Wayne and Tera for many years and spent quite a bit of time with them in the Joshua Tree area. Wayne was always a very supportive friend and showed it by singing on two songs for two different bands I was in. He had both of my bands out on tour with Static-X as well. I’m honored to have the song ‘DESTROY AS YOU GO’ featured in Matt’s movie and look forward to seeing the completed film soon!”
Zane’s documentary aims to tell the story of Wayne and Tera’s relationship and lives within the rock and adult entertainment worlds. Despite the ongoing controversy surrounding the project, Zane has continued production and has been sharing updates with fans.
