Rising from the frozen northern Midwest, modern metal force Visions of Terror are set to make their official mark with the release of their debut EP The Dark Triad , arriving March 31, 2026 via Arson Theory . The release will be accompanied by a blistering new music video for the single “Phoenix Rising.”
Forged in a region where brutal winters and unforgiving terrain shape the character of those who endure them, Visions of Terror channel that same resilience and intensity into their sound. Blending the razor sharp precision of melodic death metal with the crushing weight of modern metal, the band delivers a relentless sonic assault that fans of Revocation, Sylosis, and At The Gates will immediately appreciate.
What sets Visions of Terror apart from the pack is their dynamic dual lead vocal attack , creating a powerful contrast between aggression and melody. This layered vocal approach adds depth and intensity to the band’s already explosive musical foundation.
Behind the kit, Spencer “Grizzly” Cole drives the band forward with thunderous drumming that hits with the force of an avalanche. Bassist and vocalist Josh Ballard locks in with a heavy handed groove while delivering versatile vocal power that reinforces the band’s commanding rhythm section. Veteran guitarist and vocalist Nicholas James brings relentless riffing and memorable lead work that cuts straight to the bone, while guitarist Abraham Joseph injects modern aggression and inventive melodies that complete the quartet’s hard hitting sound.
The result is a band that balances technical precision with raw energy, delivering songs that hit hard while still pulling listeners into deeper lyrical themes.
With tracks like “Phoenix Rising” and “Un-Heavenly,” The Dark Triad dives into themes that challenge the stagnation of modern society while pushing listeners toward resilience and personal determination. Each track offers layers of intensity that reveal more with every listen.
The accompanying music video for “Phoenix Rising,” produced by JT Ibanez , captures the band’s explosive energy and visual identity while giving fans their first cinematic glimpse into the world of Visions of Terror.
The EP was mixed and mastered by Matt Schmidt , delivering a polished yet aggressive production that fully captures the band’s powerful sound.
“We’ve dedicated ourselves to crafting exceptional songs and are eager to share them,” says the band. “As individual artists, we’re committed to producing outstanding music, and together, we’re a dynamic and formidable collective. I think that really shows in our first release.”
With their debut EP set to drop this spring, Visions of Terror are already preparing to bring their crushing live performance to stages across the region, with shows and touring plans expected to follow the release.

KERRANG! Features DISTANT’s New Single “Spirit” Featuring Tyler Beam of The Last Ten Seconds Of Life – Out Now
Release Date: March 4, 2026
Genre: Deathcore
Label: Century Media Records
Rotterdam/Bratislava deathcore titans DISTANT return with their most personal and unrelenting single yet, Spirit , featuring Tyler Beam of The Last Ten Seconds Of Life . Out now via Century Media Records , the track channels raw human emotion, inspired by the real-life stabbing of a family member at a clinic named Spirit.
“Spirit is one of Distant’s most personal releases to date,” the band explains. “It channels grief, shock, and the surge of rage and revenge that follows trauma. It’s raw emotion turned into relentless sound—not to glorify violence, but to confront it.”
Formed in 2014 by bassist Elmer Maurits and guitarist Nouri Yetgin , DISTANT quickly made waves with their debut EP Tsukuyomi (2017) and first full-length Tyrannotophia (2019, Unique Leader Records). Their sound evolved with Aeons of Oblivion (2021) and, under a three-album deal with Century Media Records, Heritage (2023), showcasing a faster, more technical, and fully produced deathcore experience.
DISTANT’s music is storytelling at its heaviest. Their expansive fictional universe—including narratives like The Rise of Tyrannotophia —gives each track depth beyond the pit. Live, they are a powerhouse, selling out venues across Europe and the U.S., delivering energy and precision that cements their global deathcore reputation.
Production Credits: Mixed by Nouri Yetgin ; Mastered by Nouri Yetgin and Roelof Klop

This weekend in the City of Brotherly Love, there will be nothing but good times and loud music, as Lamb Of God hosts a special pop-up show in the historic city. Because as you know, these guys have a history with Killadelphia…
Announced earlier this morning, Lamb Of God will play a special show at the Theatre of Living Arts (TLA) on Sunday, March 15 — just two days after the release of their forthcoming record Into Oblivion. Sharing the stage with them that night will be the insanely killer Fit For an Autopsy.
For those that don’t know, the TLA is a pretty intimate venue in Philadelphia, so it’s a great time to catch a band like Lamb Of God up-close and personal. And how much would a show like this set you back? $15. That’s it. Fees included.
