“You Or Me” is the latest single from American heavy metal icons CORROSION OF CONFORMITY. The crushing new track comes off the band’s mammoth new double album, Good God / Baad Man, set for release on April 3rd via Nuclear Blast and is accompanied by a video created by acclaimed visual arts icon Costin Chioreanu with additional footage filmed by Mike Holderbeast.
“With ‘You Or Me,’ CORROSION OF CONFORMITY are back at the top of their game. This blistering, Sabbed out track is an angry acid trip into the origins of the human condition since the dawn of man. In these primitive times, it’s clear to say they haven’t learned much. So Black it’s Blue.” – Lucifer
Adds the band, “Deep from within the forests of Romania and the twisted mind of our dear friend Costin Chioreanu comes his twisted visions put to CORROSION’s music. It’s a match made in purgatory. There’s some special additions from [director] Mike Holderbeast’s crew as well.”
Last month, CORROSION OF CONFORMITY introduced Good God / Baad Man with their debut single, “Gimme Some Moore.” The track features backing vocals from Ministry’s Al Jourgensen as well as Madonna guitarist Monte Pittman. Wrote Revolver upon first listen, “CORROSION OF CONFORMITY are doubling down on their unique brand of heaviness this year… with the release of a Southern-sludgy barnburner… ‘Gimme Some Moore’ is apparently on the pissed-off first LP.” Consequence concurred noting, “The track is a throwback to COC’s punk era in the ’80s, barreling forward as Pepper Keenan delivers grizzled lead vocals,” while MetalSucks championed, “an absolute ass stomper. Riff on riff on riff. The drums, handled by the great Stanton Moore, are pounding and drive the whole shebang forward, and the solo’s a ripper. Pepper doesn’t sound like he’s lost a step at all since the release of 2018’s No Cross No Crown. It really does feel like a continuation of In The Arms Of God – which absolutely fucking rules.”

Are you a fan of brutal death metal, goregrind or the off-the-air television show, 1000 Ways to Die? If you answered yes to any of these questions, Gore Machine have a new ripper to check out today. Congealed and Foaming is the Philly-based one-man band’s second release, lyrically focusing on themes of Darwinism and unusual historical deaths.
Song titles like “Camping,” “Stunt Double” and “Dirt Devil” give a glimpse at what’s inside, though the guttural vocals and low-and-slow guitar leave the lyrics up to the listener’s imagination. For those who find themselves entranced by blood, guts and viscera, Congealed and Foaming is a full meal.
“Gore Machine proudly presents [our] second slab of visceral, slamming, goregrinding death metal entitled Congealed and Foaming,” Gore Machine tell Decibel. “The album features ten new tracks showcasing stories of some of the most Darwinian deaths in human history.”
There may be 1000 ways to die, but there’s only one way to hear Congealed and Foaming ahead of its March 13 release: by pressing play below.
