  • JOHN CORABI Will Be Supporting CINDERELLA’s TOM KEIFER BAND On Certain Dates

Veteran rock vocalist John Corabi, widely recognized for his commanding voice and long résumé with bands such as Mötley Crüe, The Dead Daisies, Union, and The Scream, is set to join Tom Keifer of Cinderella for select dates throughout the spring and summer touring season. Tickets for most of the scheduled shows are expected to go on sale this Friday, January 16.

Corabi recently marked a new chapter in his career by performing his first show under the “John Corabi & Friends” banner on December 30, 2025, at Basement East in Nashville, Tennessee. For that performance, he handled vocals and guitar, backed by an experienced lineup that included Michael Devin of The Dead Daisies and Whitesnake on bass and vocals, Paul Taylor from Winger on keyboards, guitar, and vocals, Jeremy Asbrock of Ace Frehley on guitar and vocals, Troy Luccketta of Tesla on drums, and Marti Frederiksen, known for his work with Steven Tyler, on guitar and vocals.

As previously reported, Corabi will release his debut full-length solo album, New Day, on April 24, 2026, through Frontiers Music Srl.

New Day represents his first complete solo album made up entirely of original material. The record was tracked in Nashville during the summer of 2025 and produced by multi-platinum songwriter and producer Marti Frederiksen, whose credits include work with Aerosmith, Ozzy Osbourne, and Buckcherry. Musically, the album blends classic 1970s rock, soul, and blues influences into a sound that feels grounded and personal rather than nostalgic.

Beyond being a simple solo release, New Day functions as Corabi’s own statement on the lasting power of rock music. The album focuses on melody, feel, and honesty, with performances that emphasize commitment and authenticity from start to finish.

  • LAMB OF GOD Announce New Album “Into Oblivion”; Music Video For Title Track Out Now

Lamb of God have set a March 13 release date for their new album, Into Oblivion (Epic Records), marking the band’s first full-length release in four years.

Into Oblivion finds Lamb of God embracing their position as modern metal veterans, beholden to no one, with nothing left to prove. The 10-song collection references the band’s roots, doubles down on their signature groove, and expands their approach, resulting in an album that feels both deliberate and untethered.

Album pre-orders, including multiple limited-edition vinyl variants and signed copies, are available now at this location. An unannounced first pressing of the album was quietly posted on the band’s website earlier this week and sold out immediately.

News of Into Oblivion’s March arrival is accompanied by the debut of its title track, “Into Oblivion,” alongside a video directed by Tom Flynn and Mike Watts. Aggressive and as unforgiving as ever, the song pairs the band’s musical ferocity with psychologically charged lyrics.

“For me, the album is about having the space to breathe creatively and not feeling like we have to keep up with any trend or expectation,” guitarist Mark Morton shares. “It feels nice to be untethered from any agenda beyond rallying around the notion of, ‘Let’s just make music that we think is cool,’ which is really where it all started.”

Vocalist Randy Blythe doesn’t mince words on why the band decided to name the album Into Oblivion, saying candidly: “Because that’s where we’re heading. In general, the album is about the ongoing and rapid breakdown of the social contract, particularly here in America. Things are acceptable now that would’ve horrified people just 20 years ago.”

In the months leading up to today’s announcement, the metal veterans released a pair of blistering singles that offered listeners a taste of the album’s range. “Sepsis,” the band’s first new song since 2022, paid homage to the early ‘90s Richmond underground that shaped Lamb of God’s formative years.

Produced and mixed by longtime studio collaborator Josh WilburInto Oblivion was recorded across multiple locations tied closely to the band’s identity. Drums were tracked in Richmond, Va., with guitars and bass recorded at Morton’s home studio. Blythe recorded his vocals at the legendary Total Access studio in Redondo Beach, Calif., the birthplace of seminal punk records by Black Flag, Hüsker Dü, and Descendents.

  • METAL ALLEGIANCE (Featuring TESTAMENT, ALICE IN CHAINS & DREAM THEATER Members) Stream Apocalyptic New Single, “Black Horizon”

Trailblazing metal collective Metal Allegiance has returned with their brooding new single, “Black Horizon”. Their first release of original music since 2018, the song features roaring opening riffs from guitarist Alex Skolnick (Testament) and vocalist William Duvall’s (Alice In Chains) ominous howls, painting an apocalyptic scene.

Mark Menghi (King Ultramega) on bass and Mike Portnoy (Dream Theater) on drums keep the dread looming low in the sky, ready to explode with ferocity at any moment. Systems fail, shadows fall, and the doomed cry for salvation in this desolate world. Gloomy, minimalistic verses bookend thunderous choruses, chronicling a desperate flight for survival.

“Who would have thought we’d be here 12 years later with new Metal Allegiance music? Very excited to have one of my favorite vocalists from one of my favorite bands on the first new Metal Allegiance music in 8+ years, which opens up a new era for the band. As the saying goes, you can’t kill what doesn’t die,” explained Mark Menghi

“I was pleasantly surprised and absolutely honored to be asked to contribute to this song, and I’m very happy with the result.” William DuVall said.

“This song is a gift from the ghost of Metal Allegiance past. It’s salvaged from a stockpile of riffs we’d started long ago but never quite finished. Now, in combination with a first-time voice for the band – the great William Duvall – we are pleased to announce a brand new track, forged from what once was, here to kick off a new era. Check it out!” added Alex Skolnick

“After having recorded these drum tracks some time ago, I’m stoked that they finally get to see the light of day! Thanks to William for finishing it up for us, and welcome to the Metal Allegiance family! \m/” said Mike Portnoy.

  • BLACK LABEL SOCIETY Shares Music Video For New Single “Name In Blood”

The official video for “Name In Blood,” the newest release from Black Label Society, is available to watch below. The clip was directed by Black Label Society’s longtime visual collaborator Justin H. Reich of Three Thirty-Three Creative.

“Name In Blood” is the fourth advance single from Black Label Society’s upcoming album Engines Of Demolition, arriving March 27 via MNRK Heavy. The follow-up to 2021’s Doom Crew Inc. features 15 tracks, including the previously released songs “Broken And Blind,” “The Gallows,” and “Lord Humungus.” It also includes “Ozzy’s Song,” which appears to be a salute to Black Label Society guitarist/vocalist Zakk Wylde’s longtime bandmate, Black Sabbath legend Ozzy Osbourne.

Stream and pre-order the album here.

Zakk Wylde formed Black Label Society in 1998 and has kept the band active while also spending many years touring and recording with Ozzy Osbourne, whose backing band he first joined nearly four decades ago.

A charismatic heavy metal marauder recognized worldwide as a living legend, Wylde rose to prominence when Ozzy chose him as his loyal axeman, based on a cassette he mailed in as a teen. Guitar World put Zakk on the magazine’s cover more than a dozen times in recognition of his work on multiplatinum albums by the icon he called “the Boss” and more than two decades of music made by BLS.

Black Label Society quickly became a touring juggernaut and has gone on to release nearly a dozen successful studio albums, which have sold more than a couple of million copies in total.

  • RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS Bassist FLEA Shares Newest Single “Traffic Lights” From Upcoming Solo Album

After nearly five decades as one of rock’s most recognizable bassists, Flea is stepping into a very different spotlight. He will release his first full-length solo album, Honora, on March 27, 2026 via Nonesuch Records, marking a long-awaited return to his earliest musical passions: jazz and trumpet. With time finally on his side, the project reflects a personal and creative shift that has been quietly building for years.

In support of the album, Flea and the Honora band will head out on an international tour this May, performing in smaller, intimate venues across select cities.

Named after a cherished family member, Honora was composed and arranged by Flea, who also plays trumpet and bass throughout the record. He is joined by a group of respected modern jazz musicians, including producer and saxophonist Josh Johnson, guitarist Jeff Parker, bassist Anna Butterss, and drummer Deantoni Parks. The album also features vocals from Flea, along with contributions from Thom Yorke and Nick Cave. Additional collaborators include Mauro Refosco, known for his work with David Byrne and Atoms For Peace, and Nate Walcott of Bright Eyes, among others.

The record consists of six original compositions, including one co-written by Flea, Johnson, and Yorke. It also includes reinterpretations of songs by George Clinton and Eddie Hazel, Jimmy Webb, Frank Ocean and Shea Taylor, and Ann Ronell, giving the album a wide emotional and stylistic range.

Ahead of the release, he has shared today the official visualizer for “Traffic Ligths”.

Reflecting on the creation of Traffic Lights, Flea says: “Deantoni and I played what became “Traffic Lights” the first day. Something about it reminded me of Atoms For Peace, so I sent it to Thom. Just knowing him, I thought it would be a rhythm and a sensibility that he would relate to. And I was right, he did”.

Expanding further, he adds: “With a gorgeous melody and the words, you know, about living in the upside down and how do you make sense of things when we’re getting all this fake shit and real shit? Everyone has their ways of dealing with the world. But he’s just the warmest, free-flowing, jamming motherf*cker”.

Best known as a founding member and bassist of Red Hot Chili Peppers, Flea was introduced to live jazz at an early age. Family friends would gather to play music in his living room, an experience that left a lasting impression.

“It was the greatest thing I ever saw”, he recalls. “The wildness, warmth and we of it. Straight Bebop. Boom. I knew there were higher things on this earth, way above the pettiness that had left me disheartened. The holy trifecta of my life, music, sports and nature was complete”.

Although he dreamed of following in the footsteps of jazz icons like Dizzy Gillespie, Miles Davis, and Clifford Brown, his life took a different direction when he joined Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Still, the idea of a deeply personal instrumental record lingered. In 1991, during the height of the band’s rise and while acting in Gus Van Sant’s film My Own Private Idaho, Flea confided to a friend: “I want to make an instrumental record with deep hypnotic grooves, trippy melodies layered on top, meditations on a groove”.

The only condition, he knew, was that he would need to truly commit to relearning the trumpet.

As he approached his sixtieth birthday, Flea realized that if he didn’t return to the trumpet then, he might never do it. He committed to practicing daily for two years, even while balancing a stadium tour with Red Hot Chili Peppers and life at home with a wife and newborn. At the end of that period, he promised himself he would make an album, no matter where his abilities stood.

Until Honora, Flea admits he had never been afraid of making music. He worried the accomplished musicians around him might see him as a non-playing motherf*cker, charlatan, rock poseur or fan.

But, he says: “It turns out they were all the most genuinely supportive people, moving me deeply and daily with their generous spirits … Sitting in a room and playing the music with them made me feel like I was on drugs. I was buzzing, tripping and floating around the studio. I love them, they truly gave of themselves. I bow all the way down”.

  • CHARLOTTE WESSELS Shares New Single “After Us, The Flood” From Her Latest Album “The Obsession”

Charlotte Wessels and her band The Obsession are stepping into a new creative phase with the release of “After Us, The Flood”. The track marks their first new material following the lengthy The Obsession album cycle in 2024 and highlights the evolution of the project into a fully realized band. The former Delain vocalist once again leans into her strength as a storyteller, pairing vivid themes with a sound that feels both familiar and newly sharpened.

Musically, “After Us, The Flood” unfolds with a slow, atmospheric pull before expanding into a forceful metal finale. Symphonic textures and intimate moments gradually give way to an explosive climax, all anchored by Charlotte Wessels’ expressive and commanding vocal performance. The song carries a sense of urgency, drawing listeners into its emotional arc rather than overwhelming them with excess.

Discussing the meaning behind the track, Wessels explains: “”After Us, The Flood” is a song about climate change, told through the eyes of someone who has convinced himself it isn’t real. He feels protected within the walls of his own home while the world outside quietly begins to fall apart”.

She continues: “As the song unfolds (spoilers!) that sense of safety proves to be an illusion; the decay he’s ignored eventually finds its way inside”.

Expanding on the creative process, she adds: “We poured a lot of heart into this track, shaping a sonic story about denial, dread, and the fragile comfort of looking away. The video doesn’t literally follow the lyrics, but instead imagines the consequences of that mindset, offering a symbolic glimpse of a world where wealth loses all meaning once the planet as we know it is gone”.

Following a busy period on the road with Scandinavian progressive metal outfit Vola and a successful summer festival run, Wessels is preparing to return to live stages. Recent appearances included major events such as Belgium’s Graspop Metal Meeting, France’s Hellfest, Germany’s Summer Breeze, and the Netherlands’ Dynamo, among others.

Live performances resume this Friday, January 16, as Charlotte Wessels’ The Obsession joins Amaranthe and Epica on the Arcane Dimensions tour. The lineup features Charlotte Wessels alongside Joey Marin de Boer on drums, Timo Somers on guitars, Otto Schimmelpenninck Van Der Oije on bass, and Nina van Beelen on keyboards. Kicking off in Cologne, the tour will travel across Europe, stopping in 29 cities before wrapping up in Frankfurt this March.

  • RAVEN Announces North American 2026 Tour “Can’t Take Away The Fire”

Satellite Touring and GLM Artists have confirmed that British/American metal trio Raven is heading back to North American stages for a wide-ranging tour scheduled to run from March through May this year. The outing will include more than 35 dates across the continent, with Slackjaw set to provide support throughout the run.

Emerging from the early ’80s New Wave of British Heavy Metal movement, Raven carved out a reputation that extended well beyond the U.K. The band became especially known in the United States for its relentless touring during that era, helping introduce American audiences to rising acts such as Metallica and Anthrax, who gained some of their earliest touring experience alongside them.

Much of Raven’s legacy is tied to a run of influential releases that helped shape heavier styles of metal. Albums like Rock Until You Drop, Wiped Out, and All For One played a key role in laying the groundwork for both speed metal and power metal. Throughout those records, the band consistently pushed boundaries while maintaining a distinct sound and aggressive edge — qualities that translated even more powerfully to their live performances.

The group’s most recent release is the EP Can’t Take Away The Fire, which arrived in February 2025 through Silver Lining Music. The project marked a fresh chapter for the band and set the stage for their return to touring.

Looking ahead to the upcoming shows, Raven vocalist and bassist John Gallagher states:
“After our medical gap year of 2025, we are hungry and itching to get back to doing what we do best — cranking out the megawatts and putting on a Raven metal show for the lunatics out there”.

He continues: “We have a killer band Slackjaw out with us as special guests on these shows and it’s gonna be a take-no-prisoners full-out affair!”

With a long history of high-energy performances and a renewed drive to hit the road, Raven’s latest North American tour is shaping up to be a notable moment for longtime fans and new listeners alike.

  • WITHIN TEMPTATION And SMASH INTO PIECES Drop Official Video For Their New Collaborative Single “Somebody Like You”

Two of Europe’s most distinctive rock acts, Within Temptation and Smash Into Pieces, have unveiled the official Pavel Trebukhin–directed music video for their collaborative new single, “Somebody Like You.” The release marks a notable moment for both bands, bringing together their contrasting styles in a track built around emotion rather than spectacle.

Blending cinematic orchestration with modern rock intensity, the song unfolds as a deeply felt ballad centered on vulnerability, longing, and the universal need for connection. Its tone is restrained but impactful, allowing the emotional weight of the lyrics and performances to take center stage.

Built around a 22-piece orchestra, “Somebody Like You” shifts naturally between intimate passages and sweeping, expansive moments. The orchestral arrangements add depth without overwhelming the song, while the distinct vocal approaches from each band complement one another, creating a balance that feels both delicate and grounded.

The collaboration bridges two musical worlds: Within Temptation’s long-standing symphonic sensibility and narrative-driven approach, and Smash Into Pieces’ contemporary, dramatic edge. Rather than competing for space, the bands meet at the emotional core of the track, resulting in a song that feels open, sincere, and resonant.

As a joint effort, “Somebody Like You” stands out as a defining moment for both artists and is already being viewed as one of the year’s more memorable rock ballads. Its cinematic scale is matched by an emotional clarity that lingers after the final note fades.

Within Temptation frontwoman Sharon Den Adel states: “We are excited and looking forward to release “Somebody Like You” together with Smash Into Pieces. We have known each other for a long time and have been on tour together. This is the perfect song to also finally join forces. Adding an orchestra to this song felt like a small trip down memory lane for us, while at the same time blending perfectly with a more modern rock sound. We’re proud of what this song has become and grateful for the collaboration that brought it to life”.

Smash Into Pieces adds: “18 years ago, we started our careers with one simple goal: to help others, through music, find their own engine, their inner drive, and pursue their dreams. That engine is, and always has been, what makes Smash Into Pieces what we are. Today, we get to share a song with a band that has inspired us, that we’ve experienced some of our toughest and grandest moments live with, and that has ultimately helped form our sound. For the people who change us forever, who carry us through our darkest moments, and leave a mark that can never be replaced, we give you “Somebody Like You””.

They continue: “We want to direct a very special thanks to Sharon Den Adel for her beautiful performance in the video and to Within Temptation for sharing this marvel of a song with us”.

Meanwhile, Within Temptation is also marking a milestone in its career, celebrating the 25th anniversary of its second album, Mother Earth. Described by the band as the “very first chapter of this journey,” the celebration began with a newly recorded acoustic version of “Ice Queen,” the original album’s second single. That track served as the band’s commercial breakthrough and remains one of Within Temptation’s most successful songs across Europe.
