    Kings of extreme metal Behemoth will return to lay waste to American venues this spring. The band has announced its North American Spring 2026 headline “The Godless IV Tour,” kicking off April 14 in San Diego and running through May 21 in Los Angeles. It includes Welcome to Rockville and Sonic Temple festival appearances.

    Joining Behemoth for this run is a trio of fellow extremists — DeicideRotting Christ, and Immolation. This trek marks the band’s first tour of North America in support of the critically acclaimed new opus The Shit Ov God, out now via Nuclear Blast.

  • FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH Announces 2026 North American Leg Of 20th-Anniversary Tour With CODY JINKS & EVA UNDER FIRE

    Five Finger Death Punch has unveiled the opening North American stretch of its 2026–2027 world tour. Presented by Live Nation, the 48-stop run begins 07/20 at Freedom Mortgage Pavilion in Camden, New Jersey, and concludes 10/23 at Jiffy Lube Live in Bristow, Virginia. Platinum-selling outlaw country singer Cody Jinks will appear as the special guest in support of his current album, In My Blood. The bill also features Eva Under Fire, the critically praised rock outfit set to release its next album, Villainous, in 2026.

    As the band marks 20 years of music, Five Finger Death Punch is also leaning into its long-standing charitable efforts. Known for supporting causes tied to U.S. military veterans, first responders, and their families, the group is expanding that work in 2026 with a new initiative backing Team USA ahead of the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Los Angeles in 2028. A share of ticket revenue from the 2026 U.S. dates will be directed toward high-performance programs that help American athletes prepare for international competition.

    Founding guitarist Zoltan Bathory has chosen USA Judo — the sport’s national governing body in the United States — as his designated recipient, while vocalist Ivan Moody will allocate his portion to the USA Cycling BMX Racing and BMX Freestyle teams.

    “It’s a little-known fact that the United States is one of the only major countries in the world where the government does not fund Olympic and Paralympic athletes or their training programs,” said Bathory. “Our athletes are competing against nations with fully funded teams, while U.S. teams rely almost exclusively on private donations and sponsorships. We believe supporting Team USA is both patriotic and necessary, especially with the Olympic and Paralympic Games coming home in 2028.”

    Moody added, “These athletes represent the best of who we are. Dedication, sacrifice, discipline. If we can help level the playing field even a little, we’re all in.”

    Funds raised will go to the governing organizations responsible for developing and training Olympic hopefuls in judo and USA Cycling’s BMX disciplines, helping cover key needs such as coaching, travel, equipment, and intensive preparation. With no direct federal funding for these programs, the effort is designed to boost both awareness and financial support for athletes representing Team USA. Five Finger Death Punch says it aims to keep using its success for service — because it matters most when it’s shared.

    The 20th-anniversary tour is expected to include fresh songs from the band’s forthcoming tenth studio album alongside the signature tracks that helped shape its fanbase. More international dates are expected after the North American leg.

    Tickets for the 2026 shows will start rolling out with artist and Citi presales on 01/14. Additional presales will follow during the week, ahead of the general public onsale on 01/16 at 10 a.m. local time via Live Nation.

  • BLACK LABEL SOCIETY Upcoming Studio Album Will Include A Tribute Song To OZZY OSBOURNE

    Black Label Society is tipping the hat to Ozzy Osbourne on its 12th studio album, Engines Of Demolition, landing March 27.

    The new record follows 2021’s Doom Crew Inc. and has a digital preorder window running at a discount through Jan. 13 via MNRK Heavy. That preorder packages three already-out singles — “Broken and Blind,” “Lord Humungus” and “The Gallows” — along with two tracks that have not surfaced yet.

    One of the biggest conversation-starters is track 13, “Ozzy’s Song”, a title that spells out the intent without pretending subtlety. The tribute angle also lines up with Zakk Wylde’s long history at Ozzy Osbourne’s side, including their final big moment together at July’s Back To The Beginning farewell concert.

    Wylde put it plainly in a recent interview with NJ.com, describing the mindset at that show: “I wasn’t thinking when we were doing the show that this was the last time I’m going to be doing “Mama, I’m Coming Home” with the boss or this is the last time I’m going to play “Crazy Train” with him or anything like that. I was just going, ‘Let’s do this and let’s have a good time, like always.”

    Following two years of overwhelming fan demand, Rock And Roll Hall Of Famer Sammy Hagar returns this summer with a special limited run of his acclaimed, top-grossing “Best Of All Worlds” tour. 

    Hagar will be joined by rock heavyweights and longtime bandmates Michael Anthony (bass, backing vocals), Joe Satriani (guitar), and Kenny Aronoff (drums). The tour launches June 13, 2026, in St. Louis, Hagar‘s musical home away from home, and concludes June 27, 2026, at MGM National Harbor in Oxon Hill, Maryland.     Former Slipknot drummer Jay Weinberg has officially wrapped his run behind the kit for Suicidal Tendencies, ending a stint that covered roughly a year and a half of shows with the crossover legends.

    Jay Weinberg posted a photo dump on Instagram looking back at the run and laid out why he is moving on: a packed start to 2026, a baby on the way, and time set aside for personal creative work. He also made it clear the split is respectful, with a lot of love for the band, the crew, and the diehards he met on the road.

    “As an exciting and busy 2026 takes shape, I’d like to thank @suicidaltendencies (Suicidal Tendencies) for bringing me on board for an incredible year and a half of shows! What an absolute blast,” Weinberg wrote.

    “With @chloweinberg’s & my first child on the way, I’ve been dedicating time to passion projects like @portraitsofanapparition (Portraits Of An Apparition), a growing series of collaborations, finally building a proper at-home creative space, and some new in-the-works projects that I can’t quite announce just yet. Although there’s a lot of work left to complete over the next five months, it’s been a joy to commit to finally getting these things across their artistic finish lines before my focus naturally shifts to becoming a first-time father,” he continued.

    “Though I won’t be jamming with the fellas, I can’t possibly overstate the love and respect I have for them, the Suicidal Army and extended family, and all the cyco fans I’ve met across six continents playing shows with one of my favorite bands!     Suicidal Tendencies’ most recent lineup around Jay Weinberg included singer Mike Muir, lead guitarist Dean Pleasants, rhythm guitarist Ben Weinman (also known for The Dillinger Escape Plan), and bassist Tye Trujillo (son of Metallica bassist Robert Trujillo).

    Jay Weinberg first hit the stage with Suicidal Tendencies in March 2024 in Osaka, Japan, and spent the run hammering out the band’s catalog in front of crowds across multiple continents.

  • “MTV Rewind” Is A DIY Fan-Built Website That Brings Back 24/7 Music Video Channels & Includes More Than 35,000 Clips

    MTV’s last real music-only corners outside the U.S. went dark recently. On New Year’s Eve, MTV’s parent company shut down the remaining music-only channels in the U.K., Ireland, and Australia — MTV Music, MTV ’80s, MTV Live, Club MTV, MTV ’90s, and more — rolled into a $500 million cost-cutting push. Fans took it as another nail in the coffin for the version of MTV that mattered: the one that lived on loud guitars, big hooks, and the kind of constant rotation that could turn a band into a household name.

    A lot of people heard the news and assumed it meant MTV as a brand was getting wiped out entirely. That part got messy fast, but the bigger point landed anyway: the “music-first” MTV experience keeps shrinking. For rock and metal fans, it’s hard not to think about what that channel used to be, especially if your gateway was late-night programming and the heavier blocks that actually fed scenes instead of flattening them.

    That’s where a new fan-built project started making noise. Billboard reported that a superfan launched MTV Rewind, a deep archive-style site with more than 35,000 videos spanning the 1970s through the 2020s. It’s built to feel like turning on the TV and letting it rip, not like scrolling an algorithm until you’re bored. The landing page even leans into MTV mythology, looping the early broadcast vibe from Aug. 1, 1981, including audio from the first video: The Buggles’ “Video Killed the Radio Star.”

    If you grew up with MTV as background radiation, logging into the site is a quick time warp back to the years when the channel actually ran on music. Back then, MTV pushed artists into the mainstream with repetition and timing, and it made larger-than-life icons out of Prince, Michael Jackson, Madonna, Bruce Springsteen, and plenty more. For rock heads, the memory feels like stumbling onto the good stuff while channel-surfing and getting pulled into a band you didn’t know you needed.

    MTV Rewind plays into that same lean-back feel. You can’t hand-pick the exact next clip like you would on a typical video platform, but you can scrub through what’s playing, fast-forward, rewind, and keep the stream moving. There are multiple channels inside the site, plus extras that add to the era-correct vibe; old commercials mixed in with the videos, the kind of stuff you’d half-watch while waiting for the next song to hit.

    The big draw is that the site doesn’t treat heavier music like an afterthought. Alongside general rotations and decade collections, it pulls in programming-specific buckets that include Yo! MTV Raps and the hard rock-focused Headbangers Ball. There’s also a “shuffle all” option if you want pure roulette, like leaving the TV on and letting fate decide whether you land on Pat Benatar, Rod Stewart, The Pretenders, Reo Speedwagon, or The Cars.

    The site also highlights MTV’s alternative side: more than 6,000 clips from 120 Minutes, a major pipeline for bands that lived outside the center lane. If your taste runs from college rock into heavier alternative and back again, that archive matters. Think R.E.M., The White Stripes, Radiohead, and The Flaming Lips, all parked in a format that feels closer to TV programming than a personalized feed. There’s also an acoustic corner with MTV Unplugged clips for when you want the stripped-down versions without digging through a million unrelated recommendations.

    Under the hood, the database runs on IMVDb (The Internet Music Video Database). The founder — who uses the handle “FlexasaurusRex La Creme” on X — frames MTV Rewind as an independent, non-commercial archive project that isn’t tied to MTV, Viacom, or Paramount Global, and notes that the videos are hosted on YouTube.

    The most telling part is why the project exists at all. The creator’s post reads like a mix of grief, stubbornness, and adrenaline; pretty familiar ingredients if you’ve ever watched a scene keep itself alive when the larger industry moves on.

    MTV was a cultural institution that changed music, fashion, and youth culture. Then they stopped showing music videos and became reality TV. I felt a wave of sadness when the announcement hit. Nothing felt like it could fill that void. So I started coding. Built it in 48 hours: MTV Rewind… no ads, no algorithm, completely free. Reddit killed my viral posts (1.1K upvotes) because of auto-mod BS. I’m broke, exhausted, and honestly feeling like s–t, but thousands are using it, and that’s what matters,” he wrote.

    There’s an irony baked into all of this. Video platforms made it easier than ever to watch exactly what you want, exactly when you want it. That same convenience helped bury the old 24-hour music-channel model that MTV used to own. But what a lot of fans miss was the programming: the feeling that you were sharing a culture stream with everyone else watching at the same time, and that you could get blindsided by something new because the channel decided it belonged in the rotation.
