Sabaton have postponed their previously announced North American tour to give bassist Pär Sundström time to recover from what the band describes as “inflammation in his arms.”

The run was set to begin February 9 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and roll through the U.S. and Canada, including planned major stops in Los Angeles, Chicago, and Boston, before ending April 20 in Vancouver, British Columbia. Pop Evil and Wings Of Steel were slated as support.

On Wednesday, January 29, Sabaton shared a full statement on social media explaining the decision and what ticket-holders should expect next:

“Dear friends in the USA and Canada, unfortunately, we have to postpone our North American tour.

“Pär is currently dealing with inflammation in his arms, and after seeking medical advice, he’s been told to rest for now so he can properly heal. Performing on stage means everything to us, but health must come first.

“We are genuinely sorry for the inconvenience and disappointment this causes. We’re already working hard to secure new dates.

“We were so excited to see you all, and that excitement hasn’t gone anywhere. We’re looking forward to the moment we can finally step on those stages!

“Thank you for your patience, your love and your constant support. It means the world to us!

“For now, please keep hold of your tickets. You will receive an e-mail notification from the official point of sale as soon as the status of the event changes or a new date is announced. Please note, the summer shows in Europe are not affected by this!

UK’s black metal legends, Winterfylleth, have signed with Napalm Records. To celebrate this new partnership, the band has announced a new album, The Unyielding Season, set for release on March 27, 2026.

Making a stand, Winterfylleth’s ninth album is a social commentary wrapped in meticulously crafted poetry and prose. Where the preceding album, The Imperious Horizon (2024), described an ominous, malevolent force lurking in the distance, The Unyielding Season now explores said threat becoming a reality.

The raging wildfire to its predecessor’s calculating, icy cold, Winterfylleth’s first offering for their new record label is a reflection and a rebellion against the turmoils that are tearing individuals apart. It is a cry against the unsustainable weight of fear and pressure being imposed on the world by the agents of an unresting, unyielding force of evil.
 
The first glimpse into the infernal release is “Heroes of a Hundred Fields”. Winterfylleth weave an epic story into a raging battle hymn, describing brave minds joining forces against a common oppressor to fight for their freedom.

Motionless In White has shared the official music video for their brand new single, “Afraid Of The Dark”. The song connects Motionless In White‘s past, present, and future — mixing metallic fury with electronic embellishments. The result is a fist-in-the-air anthem that will be instantly beloved by the Motionless faithful.

“20 years ago, I stepped into a tour van with my best friends, having no idea what was next every mile we drove down the road,” says Motionless In White singer Chris Motionless, pulling back the curtain on the song’s origin story, which is rooted in the band’s own history. “Funny enough, we broke down two hours later in the AM hours in a snowstorm. We had to sleep on the floor of a rest stop on the side of the Interstate and wait what felt like forever for a tow truck. We were forced to cancel the first few shows of our first tour ever, and to figure out how to scrape up every cent we could to try and get the van fixed and get back on the road. A long-rumored piece of Savatage history is finally getting the full release treatment. Founding singer Jon Oliva says a live album recorded on June 29, 1990, at the Palace in Los Angeles (captured during the Gutter Ballet tour) is set to arrive “soon.”

The recording features Savatage’s touring lineup from that era: Jon Oliva on lead vocals and piano, his late brother Criss Oliva on lead guitar, Chris Caffery on guitar, Johnny Lee Middleton on bass, and Steve “Doc” Wacholz on drums.

Jon shared the update in a social media post on Monday (January 26), and he didn’t keep it vague. Here’s what he said about where things stand and why this particular night matters to him:

“The triple live album with Criss is being turned over to the record company this Monday, the 26th, and it will be coming out soon. This is live from the Palace in Los Angeles on the Gutter Ballet tour, and in my opinion, it’s one of the best shows we ever did. Criss and I were absolutely on fire that night — his playing was incredible, my singing was strong, and yeah… I was pretty funny too. We’ve remixed and mastered the entire show, and it sounds absolutely amazing. The song list is fantastic, and the energy from that night really comes through. This is truly a must-have for every real Savatage fan. I can’t wait for you all to hear it.”

If the setlist data is accurate, it’s the kind of track run that hits every corner of the early catalog and then some. According to Setlist.fm, the Palace show included:

If this triple live set lands the way Jon describes, properly remixed, mastered, and with the full show intact, it’s a serious archival release for anyone who holds the classic Savatage era close.

While the tour news is the immediate headline, drummer Donald Tardy has also been talking about what comes next for the band on the recording side. Last summer, he was asked by Bloodstock TV’s Oran O’Beirne whether Obituary were still targeting a new studio album in 2026 or 2027. His answer was cautious and very on-brand for a band that’s been doing this for decades.

“In the rock and roll industry, you make plans, and nothing ever sticks, and getting pushed back, it happens always. So I don’t wanna tell people that there’s gonna be a new album, ’cause is there? We don’t know. We’re having a damn good time. My brother [Obituary frontman John Tardy] and I are having a blast. Should there be one more record? Possibly. Possibly for the fans,” he explained (via Blabbermouth)

“Going on a 40-year career, we’re wondering, where do we go with this career of ours? And how much longer? Do we wanna do it? Can we do it? And should we? And so to answer the question, we love writing music, and we love the idea of a new album, but we will definitely take our time and write the best songs we possibly can, just like we did with Dying Of Everything,” Tardy continued.

“So ’26 and ’27 will be a writing process, and then the recording of it. So, we’re looking it as, if we’re still on this side of the ground and we could do it, there’ll be another one, simply because the fans deserve it. And we’re still having a good time doing what we do.”

Powerwolf have released the fourth single from their upcoming live album, Wildlive (Live At Olympiahalle), due out February 13 via Napalm Records. The band continues to tease the release with a fiery performance that captures the scale and intensity of their recent live shows.

The latest single, “1589”, originally appeared on Powerwolf’s 2024 chart-topping studio album Wake Up The Wicked. On the live release, the track stands out as one of the most striking moments, elevated by an elaborate stage setup and dramatic pyrotechnics. The accompanying live video puts viewers directly inside the spectacle, going beyond a standard concert experience. Former Mötley Crüe vocalist and current The Dead Daisies frontman John Corabi is set to release his first full-length solo album, New Day, on April 24, 2026 via Frontiers Music Srl. Along with the announcement, Corabi has unveiled an official visualizer for the album’s second single, “When I Was Young”, offering another early glimpse into the project.

Discussing the new track, Corabi explained its emotional core and personal perspective, saying:
“‘When I Was Young’ is a lyrically poignant song about an aging man looking back and reminiscing in a conversation with his son, about the ups and downs of his life. A beautiful look at life blended with acoustic and electric guitars, mandolin, with an uptempo ‘Maggie May’ vibe!!!”

The album rollout began last month with the release of the title track, “New Day”, which arrived alongside an official music video. That song set the tone for the record, leaning into reflection while maintaining an optimistic edge.

Built around a sense of nostalgia, “New Day” moves between stripped-down acoustic passages and fuller rock arrangements. The song draws from classic rock traditions while weaving in touches of soul and blues, with melodic influences reminiscent of early Boston and Queen.

Sharing his thoughts on the lead single, Corabi said: “‘New Day’ is a positive, upbeat song with a message of enjoy life!!! New Day represents Corabi’s first complete solo album of original material. The record was tracked in Nashville during the summer of 2025 and produced by multi-platinum songwriter and producer Marti Frederiksen, known for his work with Aerosmith, Ozzy Osbourne, and Buckcherry. Sonically, the album blends classic ’70s rock with soul and blues influences, resulting in a sound that feels both familiar and personal.

The tracklist also includes previously released songs “Così Bella (So Beautiful)” from 2021 and “Your Own Worst Enemy” from 2022, now placed within the broader context of the album. Across the record, Corabi is joined by a strong supporting cast, including Marti Frederiksen on backing vocals, guitars, piano, and percussion; Evan Frederiksen contributing drums, bass, B3 organ, electric guitar, mandolin, and programming; Richard Fortus of Guns N’ Roses on lead guitar; Paul Taylor of Winger and Steve Perry on piano, organ, and clavinet; and Charlie Starr of Blackberry Smoke delivering guitar solos. Together, the musicians create a natural, performance-driven feel centered on melody and groove.

In support of the album, Corabi has a European tour scheduled for February and March 2026, with additional dates planned through late spring and summer. The shows are expected to highlight both the new material and the emotional connection behind it.

Legendary vocalist and 2024 Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame inductee Lou Gramm, widely recognized as the iconic voice of Foreigner, has revealed “Young Love”, the first single from his upcoming solo album Released. The track delivers a straight-ahead rock sound rooted in classic AOR, pairing Gramm’s unmistakable vocal power with driving guitars and an emotional edge that reflects the rush of early romance.

The full album, Released, is scheduled to arrive on March 27, 2026, with CD editions issued through HNE Recordings and Cherry Red Records, and vinyl versions released via Friday Music. The record features ten original songs co-written by Gramm and his former Black Sheep bandmate Bruce Turgon. While the material draws heavily from the era that helped define Gramm’s career, the album also carries a strong sense of reflection and closure. A promotional tour is planned for later this summer, with full headlining dates expected to be announced soon.

Speaking about the project, Gramm explained the origins of the material and why it was important to finally share it. He commented: “My new album Released is a collection of unreleased songs that were recorded in the 1980s during the production of my three previous solo albums. These are powerful, heartfelt songs with a great vintage sound taken right from my old multitrack tapes. This new album was a long time coming and it’s a real nostalgia trip. When I pulled these songs out of the vault, I knew I had to finish them for my fans around the world, so they can experience what I did when I first heard them after all these years. Produced by Lou Gramm himself, Released features contributions from a notable lineup of musicians. Tony Franklin appears on bass for “Long Gone”, while Vivian Campbell of Def Leppard delivers guitar work on the opening track “Young Love”. Longtime collaborators are also part of the project, including Ben Gramm, Lou’s brother, on drums. The finished album balances a timeless rock feel with a personal, reflective tone that connects directly to the period when Gramm became one of rock’s most recognizable voices.

Minnesota metalcore group Reflections are now operating with a reduced lineup following the departures of two longtime members, with tensions reportedly tied to differing views on ICE, the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency. The situation appears to have escalated as debates around immigration enforcement and ongoing unrest in Minneapolis became impossible to ignore within the band.

The internal divide became public on Monday, January 26, when bassist Francis Xayana and guitarist Patty Somoulay announced their exits and directly criticized vocalist Jake Wolf over what they described as his support of ICE. Their statements quickly drew attention online, placing the band in the middle of a highly charged political conversation.

Somoulay first hinted at the conflict in a message shared through his Instagram account, explaining his decision to step away from the band. He wrote: “I am no longer a part of Reflections. A lot of stuff happening in life lately where it just does not feel okay to continue on with this myself. Also f**k ICE. This isn’t the country my family wanted to risk their lives to come to.”

Xayana followed with a more detailed explanation via his Instagram Stories, directly addressing his issues with Wolf and the band’s internal dynamics. He shared: “Jake has always had control of the band. There’s a reason Patty left even though he is the primary writer. Jake is an ICE apologist and I will not fuck with someone like that. I don’t give a flying fuck what we’ve been through. I cannot trust a person who thinks this is necessary. And honestly fuck you if you support this ICE shit. You’re a fucking bitch. And instead of getting into your fucking feelings y’all should have been listening to Black voices this entire time. Now when a white person is killed in the same form they’ve experienced for centuries, we are at end game. There is no going back. This is the beginning of the end if people continue to turn a blind eye. He’s going to kill anyone who opposes him”.

As of press time, Wolf had not issued a public response, and Reflections had not addressed the departures through their official social media channels. The band’s most recent Instagram post highlights plans to perform at the 2026 Euroblast progressive music festival in late September, with no additional tour dates currently listed until the fall.

Both Xayana and Somoulay had been part of Reflections since the band’s formation in 2010, making their exits particularly notable. Over the years, the group released five studio albums, most recently 2022’s The Fantasy Effect Redux.

Jake Wolf has yet to comment publicly on the situation, leaving the future direction of Reflections uncertain as the band moves forward without two of its founding-era members.
