Last week, organizers of London’s Wireless announced that Kanye West would headline all three nights of the festival, which was set to take place July 10-12 at London’s Finsbury Park. Companies like Pepsi, Diageo, Rockstar Energy, and PayPal responded by removing their sponsorship of the event, but promoter Melvin Benn issued a statement standing by West and urging “forgiveness and giving people a second chance.” It didn’t work. The UK government has denied West entry to the country, and this year’s Wireless is now canceled.

Atlanta rap star and former Migos member Offset was shot last night outside of a casino in Hollywood, Florida. TMZ reports that Offset, whose real name is Kiari Kendrell Cephus, was treated by paramedics last night outside the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. A spokesperson tells TMZ that Offset, 34, is now recovering in an area hospital and that he’s “fine.”

Journey’s farewell tour kicked off in February in Hershey, Pennsylvania, and it’ll keep going for at least the next three months, without an officially announced end in sight. Before the tour started, fans weren’t even sure who would along for the trek. Founding guitarist Neal Schon and longtime keyboardist Jonathan Cain famously don’t get along, to the point where they were recently suing each other. Singer Arnel Pineda is facing domestic violence charges in Philippines, his homeland. Neither Cain nor Pineda joined the band for pre-tour appearances. Now that the tour is finally underway, both Cain and Pineda are on it. But based on what Pineda says in a recent interview, he’s not there by choice.

Back in February, Boston metallic hardcore pioneers Converge released Love Is Not Enough, their first proper album in about nine years. It fucking rules. Last week, Converge announced plans to follow Love Is Not Enough almost immediately with Hum Of Hurt, their second new album of 2026. Judging by the title track, as well as past experience with this band, that album will almost certainly fucking rule, too. Converge are one of the few legacy acts where you want to hear the new songs when you go to the show, and they worked a bunch of new tracks into their setlist when they kicked off their latest tour at Cleveland’s House Of Blues last Thursday.

A little less than a year ago, Stevie Nicks gave a charmingly loopy speech at the Pollstar Awards, and she told the crowd that she’d begun work on her first album since 2011’s In Your Dreams: “I have seven songs, and they are autobiographical real stories where I’m not pulling any punches for probably the first time in my life… They’re real stories of memories of mine, of fantastic men!” Nicks said, “I call it the ghost record.” Apparently, that album is real, and it’s actually entitled The Ghost Record and set for release next month.
