Joanne Shaw Taylor has released her new single, “Tired Of Being Right,” along with an official music video via Journeyman Records. The track is the latest preview from her forthcoming album, The Trouble With Love, which is scheduled for release on October 23.
The song explores the difficult realization that love alone cannot change someone who is unwilling to change themselves. Opening with a restrained and atmospheric introduction, “Tired Of Being Right” gradually builds into a slow-burning blues-rock ballad centered on heartbreak, acceptance, and moving on.
“A very personal song for me,” Taylor said. “A song about always holding out hope that the one you love might finally step up but sadly sometimes you have to give yourself clarity and permission to leave. Sometimes people will never change no matter how long you invest in them.”
The accompanying music video follows a couple struggling to let go of a failing relationship, reflecting the emotional themes found throughout the song. Interwoven with performance footage, the video mirrors the tension between love, disappointment, and acceptance that drives the track.
“Tired Of Being Right” is the fifth song released from The Trouble With Love, following the title track featuring Joe Bonamassa, “What Good Is My Love?” featuring Orianthi, “Hell Or High Water,” and “This Is Who I Am.” Produced by Kevin Shirley, the album examines the many forms of love, from passion and devotion to heartbreak and self-discovery.
