When We Were Young Fest to Skip This Year, Hopefully to Return in 2027
This sucks, but it sounds like it’s only temporarily. We’re at the time of year when all the summer festivals start announcing their lineups steadily, but one fast-rising phoenix has been quite silent—When We Were Young. The newest to the game, having hosted their debut festival in 2022, has announced they’re taking this year off. But, there’s hope for us yet, because they’ll be coming back next year…so they say.
Festival runners posted the announcement on social media yesterday, February 27, saying the following:
“To Our When We Were Young Family
“The songs, the memories, the moments – none of it exists without you. After an unforgettable run in Las Vegas, we’ve decided to take 2026 off to give this festival the care it deserves and to make sure what comes next feels just as special as what came before.
“When We Were Young Festival will return to Las Vegas in October 2027.
“Thank you for showing up with your whole hearts every year. This isn’t goodbye – it’s just a phase.
“We’ll see you in 2027.”
I’m about to sound like what I imagine most of our parents sounded like back in the day… this BETTER BE just a phase. We need all the warm fuzzies nostalgia has to offer right now, so please don’t take any away from us.

Listening Now : Deadcrow x CASTER – Euphoria

Deadcrow and CASTER team up for Euphoria, a NIGHTMODE release that fuses atmospheric vocals and shimmering synth builds with bone-rattling bass drops. The track moves fluidly between cinematic uplift and explosive low-end impact, balancing emotional intensity with festival-ready aggression. Deadcrow’s wave-leaning textures intertwine seamlessly with CASTER’s sharp, high-voltage production, creating a dynamic tension between beauty and brute force. The result is immersive yet hard-hitting—an adrenaline-charged anthem that surges with melodic light before plunging into controlled chaos, fully embodying its euphoric promise.

Listening Now : RUZE – Does Ya Momma Know?

RUZE deliver peak-time mischief with Does Ya Momma Know?, a slick, bass-driven house weapon released via Factory 93 Records. Built on punchy drums, rubbery low-end grooves, and a hooky vocal topline, the track radiates playful confidence while keeping its underground edge intact.
RUZE’s production is tight and club-focused—every hi-hat snap and bass swing engineered for maximum dancefloor impact. There’s a cheeky swagger running through the vocal that makes the drop hit even harder, balancing humor with pure kinetic drive.
Does Ya Momma Know? is bold, infectious, and built for late-night chaos—another high-energy statement from one of the UK’s most exciting house exports.
