British guitarist, singer, and songwriter Billy Morrison presented Sharon Osbourne with Ozzy Osbourne’s official award for the Top 10 double A side vinyl picture disc Gods of Rock N Roll, the collaborative track released in 2025 by Morrison with Ozzy Osbourne and Steve Stevens. The seismic track, written by Osbourne and Morrison, peaked at #3 on the Official UK Vinyl Singles chart.

The presentation of this bespoke award by Official Charts UK was made at the world premiere of the concert film “Ozzy & Black Sabbath: Back To The Beginning” on October 14 at The Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles. The double A-side vinyl picture disc also features “Crack Cocaine,” Morrison’s 2024 collaboration with Osbourne that features Stevens. Co-written by all three artists and appearing on Morrison’s third solo album The Morrison Project, the track went all the way to #1 on the Mediabase Active Rock chart. Notably, “Gods of Rock N Roll” and “Crack Cocaine” are Osbourne’s final two studio performances.

“Being able to give Ozzy’s UK Award for a top 10 vinyl hit single with ‘Gods Of Rock N Roll’ to Sharon at the ‘Back To The Beginning’ film world premiere was a true honor,” says Morrison. “When Ozzy and I wrote that song together in an Argentinian hotel room 10 or so years ago and recorded it properly in 2025, neither of us would have imagined that it would end up being a cool double A-side vinyl picture disc with another song we wrote together that went to Number 1!!—’Crack Cocaine’—or that it would be received so well!”

In other Morrison news, he and Nuno Bettencourt were recently photographed in Los Angeles holding a plaque marking their Top 20 chart position (#19) on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Airplay chart for the song “Becoming.” Released in 2026 as the first single from Morrison’s latest and fourth album Hollow, the powerhouse track was written by Morrison, Sully Erna (Godsmack) and Brett Scallions; it features Erna on lead vocals and Grammy Award winner Nuno Bettencourt (Extreme) on lead guitar. With “Becoming,” Morrison now has three consecutive top 20 rock hits and the track is in the For Your Consideration ballot for a Grammy in the Best Rock Song category.

“‘Becoming’ was one of those songs that just felt right from the moment it was finished,” says Morrison. “It was the lead single from my new album Hollow and watching it get into the top 20 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Airplay chart was a great feeling. Having Sully Erna and Nuno Bettencourt on the track pushed it into some serious heavy rock territory and people loved it—I know we’re all honored to receive this award commemorating the song’s top 20 performance.”

Florida’s power metal quartet Seven Kingdoms has released a behind the scenes video for their latest offering, “Sono Sola.” Seven Kingdoms pull back the curtain to showcase their resourceful approach to producing high quality visuals for their songs that combines DIY hacks with a trip to Nevada’s dry lake beds for cinematic shots. “Sono Sola” is the first single and music video to land ahead of the forthcoming album, Sono Sola.

Following the success of their Kickstarter Campaign, Seven Kingdoms recently announced their 6th full length record Sono Sola will be released on January 29, 2027, continuing their partnership with Reigning Phoenix Music. Sono Sola is available to pre-save and pre-order here.

Sono Sola was recorded at Morrisound Recording in April and May 2026 with Jim Morris (Savatage, Warrant, Death). Seven Kingdoms wrote the record together with Jim Morris, who also produced the record along with co-producer Francesco Cavalieri (Wind Rose). The album artwork for Sono Sola was created by Bo Bradshaw.

Italian metal icons Lacuna Coil have released a double single featuring a redux version of “Fragile” (titled “Fragile XX”), plus a remix of “I Wish You Were Dead” by Swarm, to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Karmacode. Combining their past and present history into one celebration of this milestone, “Fragile” originally appeared on Karmacode while “I Wish You Were Dead” is taken from the group’s latest album, 2025’s Sleepless Empire.

Lacuna Coil‘s Andrea Ferro (vocals) comments: “‘Fragile’ has always been a live favorite, it was actually one of the very first songs we debuted on stage even before Karmacode was released 20 years ago. Its message of accepting life’s vulnerability, never surrendering though we live in a fragile circle that is often breached, is one that we still relate to today. While reworking a much loved song can initially feel unsettling (in particular for Maki, our main songwriter), we faced the process as a tribute to ‘Fragile’ and ‘Karmacode’, and are really excited by the result. ‘Fragile XX’ feels and sounds like Lacuna Coil in 2026, and we look forward to performing it live for the next 20 years!”

Swarm adds: “As a long-time fan of Lacuna Coil, I am incredibly honored to have been asked to reimagine a song of theirs. I remember hearing Karmacode back in the mid-2000’s and thinking that the melodies sounded so interesting & exotic. That whole album really helped to shape my taste in music, and I have been a fan ever since.

“I’m cautious about agreeing to do remixes, especially when it’s for a band I love. I never ‘remix for the sake of remix’. I want to make it worth the listen; to respect the original while tastefully (and aggressively) turning it upside down and shaking something absolutely crazy out. I’m very proud of how I was able to do that here.”
