  • Silver Bullet Smile Are Building Something Real—And They’re Not Waiting For Permission

    silver-bullet-smile

Who Are Silver Bullet Smile And Why Are They Starting To Get Attention?

They’re an independent Florida metal band steadily building momentum through consistent releases, live shows, and a clear commitment to doing it without shortcuts.

    TL;DR

Silver Bullet Smile are an emerging heavy metal band out of Florida with multiple singles already circulating, a growing live presence, and a DIY work ethic that’s starting to push them into wider visibility. They’re not chasing trends—they’re building piece by piece.

A Band That’s Actually Putting In The Work

You can usually tell pretty quickly when a band is serious.

Not from one song. Not from a logo. From output.

Silver Bullet Smile have been quietly stacking releases—Reckoning, Prey, Man In The Moon, Dogma, The Devil You Know, and more recently Ride Or Die—and they’ve done it without the safety net most developing bands rely on.

That consistency matters more than hype ever does.

They’re not waiting around for a “break.” They’re creating their own runway.

The Sound Sits In A Familiar Lane—But That’s Not The Point

    There’s a clear DNA here.

You hear traces of bands like Five Finger Death Punch, Disturbed, Breaking Benjamin—modern heavy rock and metal with structure, hooks, and groove driving everything forward.

But this isn’t about reinventing the genre.

It’s about executing within it—and doing it enough times that something starts to click.

That’s where bands at this stage either stall… or start separating.

The Streaming Footprint Is Starting To Take Shape

One of the more interesting early signals: their breakout track Man In The Moon reportedly climbed to #2 across multiple countries on unsigned charts.

    That doesn’t happen by accident.

It points to something connecting—even if it’s still early.

And when that kind of traction shows up before a full album cycle, it usually means the foundation is there. It just needs refinement and scale.

    This Isn’t A Studio-Only Project

A lot of developing bands can write. Fewer can translate that live.

Silver Bullet Smile, who recently signed with Rock Avenue Records USA, have already pushed past the “bedroom band” phase, logging extensive live reps and building experience in real rooms in front of real crowds.

That’s the part most people skip over—but it’s the part that determines whether a band actually sticks.

    What Came Across In Conversation

Having sat down with drummer Niko Sevens and vocalist Thursday Bodhi, what stood out wasn’t hype or overconfidence.

    It was intent.

They understand where they are. They’re not pretending to be further ahead than they are, and they’re not talking like a band waiting to be discovered.

They’re talking like a band that expects to earn it.

That distinction matters in a massive way within the modern metal landscape.

Where This Can Go From Here

Right now, Silver Bullet Smile are in that stage where everything is still forming.

The songs are there. The work ethic is there. The direction is clear.

What comes next is the part that decides everything—sharpening the identity, tightening the songwriting, and turning consistency into something undeniable.

    That’s the jump.

And not every band makes it.

But the ones who do usually look exactly like this before it happens.

    Silver Bullet Smile Bio

Silver Bullet Smile are a Florida-based heavy metal band blending modern hard rock accessibility with groove-heavy metal foundations. Emerging from the Tampa Bay area, the band has steadily built a catalog of singles while developing a live presence and refining their sound.

Influenced by bands like Disturbed and Five Finger Death Punch, they operate independently with a clear focus on growth, consistency, and long-term development. • The Fifth Alliance Redefine Sadness on “The Fool on the Hill” (Track Premiere)

It’s been seven years since The Fifth Alliance last released music. That’s the longest gap in the Dutch blackened doom group’s career. However, they’ve been busy over the past year, recruiting new vocalist Natalya Thelen and drummer Peter Scheffer for their upcoming fourth record, Stenahoria. The time in the lab revitalized the band, evident on their gripping new track “The Fool on the Hill,” which we’re premiering today. Check it out below.

Although Thelen joined only last year, “The Fool on the Hill” shows that her inclusion was seamless. It’s hard to believe she wasn’t a member of The Fifth Alliance from their inception, given how well her vocals pair with them. Her guttural howls are just as powerful as her operatic doom vocals, both possessing enough energy and depth that you’d swear The Fifth Alliance have two vocalists. She’s the perfect complement for The Fifth Alliance, who pivot between riveting atmospheric black metal and doom metal, the latter of which draws from a hallowed source. The contrast props the more gut-wrenching and stereotypically heavy segments as less bleak than the towering cleans, if only because the band isn’t afraid to bare their wounds. Stenahoria, as a whole, embodies that premise, but you’ll have to wait until May to hear it all.

    The band comments:

With “The Fool on the Hill,” we explore the defiant clarity of choosing your own path, even when the world insists on misunderstanding you. The song channels the emotional rawness that defines Stenahoria, turning solitude and stubborn hope into a source of strength. Musically, it balances vulnerability and force, capturing the push and pull between quiet resolve and intense passion. Natalya’s performance lays that tension bare, embodying the courage to keep walking when doubt surrounds you. “The Fool on the Hill” is for the ones who see differently — and refuse to look away.

Stenahoria releases 29 May via Tartarus Records (vinyl and cassette), Breathe Plastic (cassette) and Ardua Music (CD).

  • Vomitory: Swedish Death Metal Stalwarts Present “Wrath Unbound” Video/Single from Upcoming “In Death Throes” Full-Length

    – March 25th, 2026 –

Watch / Stream VOMITORY’s “Wrath Unbound” HERE

Wrath Unbound” is the latest single from Swedish death metal institution VOMITORY. The brutal new track comes by way of the band’s In Death Throes full-length, set for release on April 10th via Metal Blade Records.

Comments drummer Tobias Gustafsson, “‘Wrath Unbound’ is inspired by dark powers and built for headbanging! This is probably the heaviest song on the album. The catchy melody combined with lots of double bass drums will roll over you like a tank. Musically it’s influenced by British giants like Iron Maiden, Bolt Thrower, and Carcass. Lyrically, I don’t really know where [vocalist/bassist] Erik [Rundqvist] found the inspiration. Probably somewhere far, far away…

In any serious conversation about death metal, VOMITORY‘s name is a must-mention. Formed in 1989, the Swedish band unleashed eight blistering albums between 1996 and 2011, cementing their status as genre titans before parting ways in 2013. However, their retirement was short-lived, as they returned to the stage in 2019 to mark their 30th anniversary. Now, three years after the release of their critically acclaimed 2023 comeback album All Heads Are Gonna Roll, VOMITORY are back with their latest beast, In Death Throes.

The band didn’t miss a beat in getting back to writing. According to drummer Tobias Gustafsson, while the unmistakable VOMITORY sound remains, the new album cranks up the intensity. “In Death Throes picks up where All Heads Are Gonna Roll left off, but we’ve turned the intensity up a notch. [New guitarist] Christian [Fredriksson] quickly found his place and even contributed music to four killer tracks. These additions bring a bit of diversity to our sound without straying too far from the formula.”

Of the band’s first single, Metal Injection gushed, “If the previous record marked a triumphant resurrection, In Death Throes is the sound of a band tightening the screws. The track is pure forward momentum, weaponizing grind, D-beat chaos, and groove-laden breakdowns into a single, unrelenting charge.” MetalSucks agreed, “‘For Gore And Country’ is every bit as brutal and stomach-turning as you’d expect from a band that’s been doing this for three decades.”

The recording on In Death Throes took place across multiple studios in late 2025. Drums and vocals were recorded at Leon Music Studios in Karlstad, Sweden, with producer Rikard Löfgren, who previously worked on Terrorize Brutalize Sodomize, Carnage Euphoria, and Opus Mortis VIII, handling the engineering. Guitars and bass were tracked at Goff Studios in Karlstad, with Christian Fredriksson taking the reins as the engineer. For mixing and mastering, the band once again turned to Lawrence Mackrory (Paradise Lost, Bloodbath, Lik) at Rorysound Studios in Uppsala, Sweden, who delivered a crushingly heavy sound that still manages to breathe.

As with All Heads Are Gonna Roll, the album artwork was handled by Giannis Nakos of Remedy Art Design (Evergrey, Suffocation, The Crown), while Seiya Ogino of Ogino Design handled the layout. The result is an album that’s as ferocious as it is visually stunning.

VOMITORY‘s In Death Throes will be released on CD and digital formats as well as LP in the following color variants:

    180g black
    Dark Rose Marbled
Desert Sunset (Coral Metallic Marbled) (Ltd. 300)

  • Zerre – Rotting on a Golden Throne (Review)

    Band:Zerre
    Release:Rotting on a Golden Throne
    Genre:Thrash Metal
    Country:Germany
    Release Date:27th of March, 2026
    Released viaDying Victims Productions

From the rotten cellars of Würzburg, Germany, the mighty Zerre have returned and they might just be better than ever. The Thrash Metal maniacs are set to release their new album Rotting on a Golden Throne on March 27thvia Dying Victims Productions. Delivering nine riff-loaded tracks that won’t just destroy your neck, but also crush your brain.

When it comes to thrash metal, Germany is known for its legendary sound. Bands like Sodom, Kreator, Tankard and Destruction paved the way for generations. But Zerre are not your typical German Thrash band. Their approach leans much more towards the raw aggression of Exodus or the crossover energy of Power Trip.

From start to finish, this record is all about aggressive riffs and pure, unfiltered power. Tracks like “Pigs Will Be Pigs” not only hit hard musically but also showcase the band’s political edge. The production on Rotting on a Golden Throne is razor sharp! You could probably cut air with it. Everything sounds tight, direct and straight to the point.

And then there are the gang shouts… holy smokes. They are everywhere, and they hit every single time. Songs like “Pigs Will Be Pigs” or the title track “Rotting on a Golden Throne” deliver some of the most infectious gang shouts you’ll hear in modern crossover thrash. It’s impossible not to shout along.

The riffing and solos are absolutely on point. Zerre prove themselves as true riff wizards throughout the entire album. Neck-breaking tempos and raw insanity take over on tracks like “Deception of the Weak” or “Tin God”. The band still manages to maintain that punk-driven, no-fucks-given attitude that makes everything even more enjoyable.

Songs like “Concrete Hell” are straight-up pit anthems, filled with mosh parts that will leave no one standing still. Zerre give you absolutely no room to breathe. It’s banger after banger, packed with fast-paced guitar work, blasting drums and aggressive gang vocals.

Honestly, who needs coffee in the morning when you can just blast this record? It hits like a sledgehammer straight to your skull. Rotting on a Golden Throne is easily the best work Zerre have released so far. A true milestone for German Crossover Thrash and a serious contender for album of the year.

    Don’t sleep on Zerre.
