  • Godflesh – Justin K. Broadrick Announces End Of Band

The legendary industrial metal project Godflesh is about to reach its end, declared founder Justin K. Broadrick on his Instagram page. Following a recent surgery due to a inguinal hernia, Justin K. Broadrick comments that he won’t be able to perform live nor in studio in the future as it is too demanding for his body. He has announced, however, that the last two Godflesh albums are in the way and may be expected later this year.

  • COGNIZANCE – Return With In Light, No Shape on Willowtip in May! ~ Video for “Witness Marks” Single Out Now!

Leeds (UK) – Following 2024’s critically acclaimed LP PhantazeinCOGNIZANCE return with In Light, No Shape on May 1st, via Willowtip Records!

The official video for the album’s first single, “Witness Marks,” is available at:

    youtu.be/LOhAHuT2zE8

The song is also available on the usual streaming platforms, including BandcampSpotify, and Apple Music.

Four LPs deep and a slew of EPs behind them, COGNIZANCE show no signs of restraining the pace of unrelenting inventive riffs and razor-sharp grooves. In Light, No Shape is a masterful Progressive Death Metal opus, rich in texture and atmospheric detail, delivering everything long-time listeners crave while channeling the mid-90s technical extremity of Death, Extol, and Meshuggah. This time, the band deliberately fractures the conventions of modern extreme production, opting instead for a more organic and visceral mix that sharpens the defining traits of their work.

In Light, No Shape marks the first lineup shift in a decade, as the band sharpen from a quintet to a quartet with founding guitarist Alex Baillie stepping forward as vocalist while retaining guitar duties, following the 2023 departure of founding vocalist Henry “Big Mac” Pryce.

    Line-up:

    Alex Baillie – Guitar/Vocals
    Apostolis Karydis – Guitar
    Chris Binns – Bass
    David Diepold – Drums

“This record is a defining milestone for us. Taking on vocals has pushed us to re-engineer how we experiment with the blend of elements in our sound, unlocking new creative pathways to compliment the core identity of the band. What you will hear are four dudes all adding their flavours to the melting pot to create a body of work that felt completely natural to us.”

New Single Out Now via Entwined Recordings — Full-Length Album Coming Fall 2026
Youngstown, OH, USA – Industrial-infused progressive black metal provocateurs Inherently Lost return with their latest single, “Corpse Lying Beside You,” released February 27, 2026, via Entwined Recordings. The track and its accompanying visuals plunge listeners into a chilling exploration of humanity’s darker impulses, cementing the band’s reputation as fearless sonic storytellers.
Blending the mechanical pulse of industrial, the sprawling complexity of progressive metal, and the raw intensity of melodic black metal, “Corpse Lying Beside You” is a relentless, haunting journey. Frontman Mark Moats and Noreen “Ice Queen” Javersak deliver dual vocals that cut like a blade through the song’s crushing riffs and eerie synth textures, illustrating a world teetering on moral and emotional collapse.

“We wanted to confront the darker corners of human nature head-on,” says Moats, who also recorded and produced the track under the Entwined Recordings banner.

The accompanying video amplifies the track’s grim narrative, presenting a cinematic vision of decay and desperation. Fans of Lacuna Coil, Jinjer, and Moonspell will recognize the band’s signature blend of atmosphere, aggression, and theatrical storytelling.
Since the release of their critically acclaimed debut EP Our Last Midnight in 2020, Inherently Lost has built a dedicated international following, earning coverage in Legacy Magazine (Germany), Metal Hammer Portugal , and Zero Tolerance (UK), along with radio support from Cleveland’s 100.7 WMMS The Buzzard. Previous singles like “Unraveling Sanity,” “Intoxication of Pain,” and their cover of Mötley CrĂŒe’s “Red Hot” have further solidified the band’s presence in the underground metal scene.
“Corpse Lying Beside You” offers a harrowing glimpse of what fans can expect from Inherently Lost’s forthcoming full-length album, slated for Fall 2026 — an immersive descent into the shadows of human existence.
