New Metal Songs Highly Endorsed By Metal Odyssey!

Metal Church has released a couple of new songs from their upcoming studio album Dead to Rights. Let me just say that these songs are unbelievable thrash ecstasy! Metal Church is back with a vengeance! The songs are: “F.a.F.O,” and “Brainwash Game.”

Artillery returns! Their new single “Ghost In The Machine” is pure Traditional Metal glory, from start to finish! I have this song in my brain and it serves me right!

BATTLEGRAVE have released their new blistering single “BONESAW” and it’s an extreme metal gift from the metal gods!

“Broken and Blind” is a rather short yet killer song from the legendary Black Label Society. I love this song for its swift kick to my cranium. This song is on their forthcoming studio album Engines of Demolition, out on March 27th through MNRK Heavy / Spinefarm.
Thank you for checking these highly recommended metal song choices out! Stay safe out there and Metal be thy name. -Stone

Sumac Red is Quality Living’s Single Out Now
Good Day Noir Family,
Quality Living step into “Sumac Red” with a tone that immediately recalls the hazy spirit of Blind Melon.Sumac Red is Quality Living’s Single Out Now
There’s a psychedelic undercurrent running through the track, yet it never drifts too far from its rock backbone. The band shapes a visionary style that feels distinctly their own. The vibe is loose but controlled, dreamy yet grounded.
What struck me most, however, is the production. The mix comes through crisp and present, almost startlingly alive. The instruments don’t feel distant or overly polished. They sound as if the band is playing right inside the room. That immediacy adds weight to every note. Because of this clarity, even the subtler textures stand out.
There’s an intriguing blend of neorealism and psychedelic emotion at play. The track carries a raw, honest pulse, while the layered guitars add color and depth. The result is a dynamic contrast between grounded storytelling and swirling tonal shifts. As the song unfolds, you begin to notice how carefully each element interacts with the others.
The guitar solo introduces a surprising twist. There’s a tonal hint that evokes Hawaiian flavors, giving the track a brief sense of sunlit openness. The bassline slips in with a playful funk touch, gently teasing the rhythm section. This interplay creates movement without overwhelming the core melody. Furthermore, the alternative guitar textures keep the arrangement edgy and contemporary.
Although the influences are varied, Quality Living never lose their identity. They weave those inspirations into a cohesive whole. The development grows naturally, expanding its emotional reach without forcing dramatic shifts.
“Sumac Red” ultimately stands as a strong example of artistic evolution. The band demonstrates creativity, confidence, and a willingness to experiment across genres. Yet they never sacrifice focus. The track inspires through its originality and bold sonic choices.
Quality Living proves once again that their range of influences fuels rather than dilutes their sound. “Sumac Red” is another impressive step forward in their artistic journey.

Unique!
Quality Living centers on Darrel Norrell—vocalist, guitarist, songwriter, and producer—whose wide-ranging voice blends melody with an off-kilter edge. Their album Glacier was recorded over several years in a repurposed garage studio in northern New Jersey, where arrangements were refined with obsessive care.
The lineup includes Albert Chua on lead guitar, Chris Foxz on hooks and harmonies, Nick Sardone on gritty melodic bass, and Chris Mulinos on groove-heavy drums. Skylar Ross completed the final mix and master.
