  • PROTRUSION Set to Unleash Debut Death Metal Blight The Last Suppuration – @thebeast

Indiana’s death metal outfit PROTRUSION is ready to infect the underground with their debut full-length, The Last Suppuration . A sonic homage to the brutal, raw ethos of early ’90s death metal, the album is a relentless assault of guttural riffs, cavernous drums, and a murky atmosphere that drips with filth.
The lead single and title track, “Boiled at Birth” , is streaming now at protrusion.bandcamp.com, giving fans a first taste of the band’s grotesque, archaic-inspired sound.
The Last Suppuration will see multiple physical releases this spring:
Cassette: March 13 via Unholy Domain (Europe) and Iron Fortress Records (North America)
    CD: Sevared Records
Vinyl: Extremely Rotten Productions and Unholy Domain
European fans can pre-order the cassette at unholydomainrecords.bandcamp.com, while North American fans can secure their copies at ironfortressrecords.com. CD pre-orders are available at store.sevared.com.
The grotesque artwork, crafted by Jon Zig, mirrors the music’s putrid atmosphere and grim aesthetic.
Formed in Lafayette, Indiana, PROTRUSION features veterans from underground acts such as Gorgasm, Sarcophagy, Human Filleted, and Found Hanging. The band channels the raw power of Morrisound-era death metal while adding their own modernized yet retro-tinged approach.
After releasing a well-received self-titled demo in 2023, PROTRUSION carved their name into the live circuit, performing at events including the final Chicago Domination Fest (2023) and Slam Dakota Death Fest (2025). With The Last Suppuration , the band officially casts a shadow over the current death metal underground.
The time of suppuration is upon us.

  • As Everything Unfolds Unveil Stunning New Track ‘DENIAL’

As Everything Unfolds have shared the latest taste of their upcoming record ‘DID YOU ASK TO BE SET FREE?‘, and they just keep on getting better and better.

This track is called ‘DENIAL’ and finds the band bridging the gap between the bludgeoning past and atmospheric present. Neon-drenched melodies clash brilliantly with throat-shredding howls to craft a sound that is as savage as it is spine-tingling. An example of how modern post-hardcore should be, bold, brash and beautifully affecting.

And lyrically, it’s a song that the band have a lot of thoughts on, as vocalist Charlie Rolfe explains:

Denial is the hardest thing to watch someone go through. You can say or do nothing that will make them realise the horrible situation they’re in, you see small moments of clarity where they’re screaming out for help but they fall back into denial. It’s their closest friend, their comfort. I found it the hardest phase to watch someone in addiction recovery go through, their disregard for your emotional and physical wellbeing, your feelings don’t even come into their mind, no matter how much you try to sympathise and say that you understand the pain they’re going through, it’s never enough to convince them that they’re not alone & their own destructive misery feels like they find joy in inflicting pain upon others, they feel better spreading their pain rather than facing it.

DID YOU ASK TO BE SET FREE?” will be released on April 10 via Century Media.

    Here is previous single, ‘GASOLINE’:

  • MISERERE LUMINIS – SIDERA

(Andy Synn encourages you to embrace the mellifluous black magic of Miserere Luminis) I have no problem at all acknowledging that one thing I’m not great at is making predictions… or, at least, a certain kind of prediction. There have been bands that I was sure would see massive success who have continued to labour […]
