Malmö’s Beau Land Park drifts through soft electronic textures, woolly beats and finely paced melodies, creating the feeling of a coastal place caught in a brief moment of change. The instrumental arrangement stays spacious, letting each layer breathe while a subtle rhythmic pulse keeps the track moving. There is something almost dreamlike in the contrast between the gentle groove and the sense of impermanence running underneath it. The atmosphere suggests bright lights, distant movement and the strange emptiness left behind when a seasonal landscape suddenly disappears. Malmö keeps the production restrained, allowing texture and repetition to shape the mood rather than pushing toward an obvious climax. SoCal singer-songwriter Kaz Murphy digs into the roots of folk and Americana on OLD PROTEST RECORDS, turning a love of old protest songs into something loose, earthy and distinctly his own. Acoustic guitar sits at the centre, surrounded by fiddle, mandolin and a touch of bluegrass warmth, giving the track the feeling of an old record playing somewhere on a wooden porch. Murphy has been making music for decades, moving through folk, art-rock, country and anti-folk, and that history comes through in the relaxed storytelling and lived-in character of his voice. OLD PROTEST RECORDS is less about polished nostalgia than keeping an old musical language alive, with Murphy weaving fragments of the songs that shaped him into a new, flowing piece. It feels weathered, human and slightly ragged around the edges — exactly where this kind of folk song belongs.
